You want good news??
Bitfinex just decided to trade Darkcoin. sry, are we talking about this? if so, its a huge news Bump nice Don't count your chickens yet. They've removed the stuff from the site and are saying it's just rumours. Hopefully they're still planning to add, but there's a FUD campaign going on in the bitfinex thread and elsewhere (reddit, twitter, etc.) from people claiming to be bitfinex customers trashing DRK. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=229438They're not going to want to add DRK if they get covered in FUD about it and how it would supposedly negatively affect bitfinex. Not sure what we should do about this. I want to answer the trolls but fear it might ramp up a flame war in the bitfinex threads, will definitely have them running for the hills. The XC guys have nothing to lose on this battlefield, they're not being considered for bitfinex. Money speaks louder than words; bitfinex wants a piece of the huge DRK $$$ volume. Let trolls be trolls, don't feed them. I really think that is what this comes down to. Mintpal has been making a killing off of DRK for a month... does Bitfinex want a piece of that or not? Money talks and for that reason I suspect we will be added sooner rather than later.

May I know why DRK have 150 Million premined coin? How will these coin be used? In the author pocket?
I see others already answered you in the manner you deserve, but just in case here are newcomers in the thread, I will give you the only and the correct answer: DRK does not have ANY premined coins. Zero.

From his history this guy is clearly an actual bitfinex customer, as opposed to a paid FUDder. We need to be able to respond to this. As a swap provider I will immidiately withdraw all of my funds from bitfinex in case of BFX adding darkcoin to their trading platform for mainly two reasons:
1. possible legal implications already mentioned in this thread.
2. As a swap provider I cannont decide on whom I'm lending funds and what for. While I feel pretty comfortable lending out money for btc trading and grudgingly accept ltc trading I will not lend out money to people trading a 4 months old shady coin which could go down to a cent any second (auroracoin for example which has lost over 99.5 % of it's peak value). As I can not decide to whom my funds go and feel that BFX is already operating on thin ice with its theoretical swap fund insurance I have no other choice than pulling out in case of a darkcoin adding.

Zero.+1 I second that. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. @520Bit Everybody can make stuff up and claim whatever he likes. I can claim that your brain can't even hold 520 Bits. How would you feel if you now had to disprove that? Matter of fact is: You don't need to disprove what I just said, because it was just a made up claim, without any proof. Only after you bring facts to the table (not rumours) you can start judging.

This is a serious question, and applies for both DRK and XC because I am legitimately concerned about this : if you are to host a master node (or xNode for XC), can you not be charged with money laundering (if convicted) if you are a resident of the USA? Or because the IRS classified crypto as property and not a currency, this is not the case? Does anyone know?
I do know that it doesn't matter if you know whether or not you know where the money is coming from or going (you cannot the play the "well I didn't know it was drug money card"), but because you are facilitating the process, you are liable. But this goes back to my property vs currency and what kind of rules apply here?

No you wouldn't get charged, other cryptocoins, such as Bitcoin, also need nodes to be ran by users to maintain the network. Bitcoin has been used to launder money, but the person running a node can't get charged. With Darkcoin, it's the same thing, you run a node to help maintain the network and offer anonymity and, while getting paid to do it, and you won't be charged because the laundered coins might not even go through your masternode and you wouldn't know if they do so you can't be liable. Same as running a node for Bitcoin, with the added bonuses/incentives like anonymity and getting paid.

This guy is fairly ignorant and nothing can be done about those types. The legal implications are WAY overblown and nothing about DRK is shady. The guy is the typical BTC owner that hates all alts (judging by the LTC comment). I can't imagine the majority thinks like this or finex never would have been considering DRK. Anyway around it -- getting into a flame war on these forums helps nothing. If we want to help the coin on the exchange the best way is to try and get Ape to negotiate (I remember him trying with regard to BTC-e).

1) What happens if a terrorist or child porn freak sends funds through a master node?
2) Won't the FEDs be ripping apart your home and interrogating you (for running the master node)?
3) Will any large-scale businesses want to share the same payment network that could be used against them? (ex: competitor starts defacement campaign because of their support for DRK, calls them child predator, terrorist etc)
Again, the person running the masternode cannot be charged. Do you know sick freaks put childporn in Bitcoin's blockchain? As long as you don't view it, you cannot be charged. Same with running a masternode.
