Please correct me if I'm wrong but that was quite low volume dumping leading to that fall wasn't it?
Relative to recent volume, it was high.

3 Master-nodes worth, not much... It was a bit more than only 3k on cryptsy. On the other hand I would sell my left leg and go all-in if it would go much lower

Both btc and drk price drop is a classic theory of the game of chickens. Who ever doesn't blink till the end, will never have to work the rest of his/her life again Keep hodling. Don't let the manipulating SOB whales take your money and make tens of millions. It is not gonna be easy. Every price crashes is gonna put a tremendous psychological pressure on you and you are gonna feel like this is the end and the coin will not recover. But I have been in this damn crypto markets for too long to know that it is not true. This is what a handful of whales want to make you think. Keep buying during the downtrend because the trend reverse will be unexpected.

darkcoin is dead. along with many other altcoins. trading volume is also too low.
coinotron shows FTC 392 profitability, VTC 115 profitability and DRK 53 profitability.
mining feathercoin is 8 times more profitable than darkcoin.
feathercoin profitability now 469

Dead? So FTC offers far more in terms of utility than DRK. Get fucked.

Everyone should check his post history... he was saying how DRK wasn't that profitable for him to mine back in May, especially with all the difficulty rises and that it was a coin to hold. Pretty different tune on saying the coin is dead when the development is far more presently than it was back in May.

coin might be more developed. price may increase. all this might be true.
but still doesnt change this fact:
darkcoin is NOT profitable to mine.

Too much bashing on crypto, but the real problem is the ADD of "investors". Crypto profits have been significant but it all depends on entry points.
BTC exactly one year ago was like what? <200$... and two years ago it was <11$. Who's gonna give such profits? The stock market? Gold/Silver? Bonds?
Likewise DRK investors of Feb-April (prices at 0.001x BTC), which is a large part of the community, are now 4-5x on their money. (January investors are way higher than that)
And these rises are despite adverse environmental conditions, fud, trolling, large scale scams with exchanges, negative news, etc etc (that apply to both btc and drk - to varying degrees of course).
I think we are doing pretty well considering what's going on. And if one trades their way the profits may have been higher. The problem is probably for those who make unsuccessful trades or those with high entry points compared to a corrected value - which might seem like the end of the world. But crypto in general is not thaaaat bad.

Anon coins are just a fad, everyone knows it. Night trader and other similar technologies will make them a thing of the past anyway.

It's crazy isn't it? To an extent now where you rarely step outside your regular threads cause there's so much school-yard bullshit going on... I'd be happy to see 10 major Alt Coins after this round of consolidation, the rest can bring something new and solid to the table or go and get fucked...

But it is being mined. What does this tell you? Who are you trying to convince with your expert opinion that mining Darkcoin is not profitable? It stilll doesn't change this fact: saying that Darkcoin is not profitable to mine and saying that it is dead are two completely different things.

Does ANYONE know, whether this vulnerability (DDoSing TOR to get IP of BTC users - https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-tor-anonymity-can-busted-2500-month/) apply to DRK as well? If so, will the InstantX sort this issue (as a side effect)? This is an important one - Darkmarkets would have little motivation for change if DRK does not provide them with anonymity. Please focus at the question and not general rants about TOR being inherently insecure, thx
