new release of my client will have that kind of feature too, togheter with other fancy one like big number to highlight steps, and boxes where the hunter have waypoints

just look how paths changes acting on the GUI icons and when zoom changes (i have two path visualizals: when you are close you see the block numbers and the numbers animations, when you are zoomed out, i have an animation that thick single sement in order to have a clue about the path points order

note that the Max Visible Path Lenght apply on every kind of path, except your hunters' queued moves, so the path you are actually building (in the video the gray one), this is because you should always see what you are going to send!

normal path (look to the left, the menu to pick the path size)





this one is the same (pending) path, that has been trimmed at the 8th point as per Max Visible Path Lenght settings





this one shows that the queued path aren't affected by the Max Visible Path Lenght limit



in the video you can see even how pending paths are easily shown respect current version (more on that in future videos)

yes it's pretty valid except that now you can have just one hunter per team, so i simplified the GUI to just show a list of what previous were called "generals".
And hearts doesn't exists anymore too.
moreover i'm not so fluent in english so this could impact the video understanding, I need to create proper tutorials divided by sections, but this would be lot of work that actually i can't handle, so if anyone want to contribute contact me or just create your own live show using the client (something like the games shown on twitch, with live sessions

This is what i would like to do too, record a game session, problem is that i've a daily job and a little daughter and finding the time to be able to free speach (during night) and have time isn't easy Smiley

Is everything you use for displaying the game board and looking at what move(s) other players are about to make taken from the "game_getstate" call? Or do you also have to look at the mempool and decode pending txs?

Also, how can you tell which tiles are impassible?

hi mate.

yes everything is in game_getstate
except moves which are not in the chain which come from name_pending
the obstacle layer is in one of source files map.cpp or something similar.

I'm actually a big fan of roguelike ascii representation, even if semi transparent fireballs will look better on RockPaperShotgun.

I don't quite get the 1.3.01 rules; if i destruct near an enemy who costed 200HUC and holds 30HUC, will he drop 230HUC? Will i die?
And what does the "Hunters Value will be refunded upon Disaster" mean? If they destroy my hunter will i be refunded 200HUC? But then i won't drop the 200 HUC will i?

which laptop model is it?
what cpu/gpu?
windows version? (32bit/64bit)

guessing, laptop doesn't support hardware acceleration and the clients need it..
