A small typo in the "Totals" line on the "My Account"-page: e.g. 232 /2 / 24, there is a whitespace missing behind the first /.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

That's not a typo, that's my experimental test for determining which users have OCD Smiley.  Will fix it when I get home in a few hours.

EDIT/UPDATE:

We had about 2 minutes of downtime today, from ISP related issues.  This is the first recorded downtime due to ISP issues since the pool servers were moved to Chicago, so not worried yet (99.999995% uptime over the course of 3 months).

Doing a quick rolling restart of the mine1-mine3 servers.  Estimated downtime is less than 30 seconds per server.  If you have your backup pool set to a different BTC Guild server, you should see effectively no downtime.

UPDATE:  Restarts are finished.  Mine1 took a bit longer to fully recover due to the number of users reconnecting at the same time.  Mine2 and Mine3 were down for less than 15 seconds.

Thank you for the positive feedback.  It always lifts my spirits to see a purely positive post.

NOTICE: All users that are using cgminer are encouraged to upgrade to 2.3.6, which has had significant updates to the networking code.  This should help the issues that cgminer occasionally has had with longpolls on PoolServerJ pools (which BTC Guild uses).

Bumping this up to stress again that all users of cgminer should immediately upgrade to the latest version!  You will definitely see a performance improvement since the longpoll handling has been fixed to not cause occasional problems with PoolServerJ-based pools.

Hopefully the pool itself should also notice a significant decrease in load as people migrate to this version.

mine2 and mine3 had a small issue.  Both servers are being rebooted and should be back up within the next few minutes.

UPDATE: mine2 and mine3 back online.

UPDATE 2:  This little project ended up on the sidelines for quite a while, but the mine2/mine3 outage tonight made me take the time to finish it.  I've updated my alert system for the pool going offline.  In the event of a pool failure, I should now be receiving an alarm within 1 minute of the event.  To make sure it will break through the veil of my dreams at night, I have chosen a song which will inflict great pain:  Steve Balmer shouting Developers with low quality techno in the background.  This event should traumatize me enough to wake up at any hour to fix problems Wink.

I sincerely hope you don't get awakened so rudely.

You know, when things break I sometimes wish I had a giant server rack in my house hosting all this.  Then I remember how damn loud servers are Smiley.  Right now I have a server living room, but that's all for the VPS offerings.  6 servers waiting to be shipped out in the next month =).

I found a minor bug when working on the latest revision of my Cacti templates for BTC Guild. It appears that the Reset Stats buttons on the Worker Summary (NMC) don't actually reset the API counters (for NMC) when pressed. They do reset the counters shown on the web interface, just not the API. The Worker Summary (BTC) Reset Stats buttons work as expected.

Two minor updates along with the API bugfix:

1: Earnings History now puts the most recent difficulty at the top.  This matches the Payout History which has most recent on top.
2: API page has reduced the timer between refreshing to 55 seconds instead of 60 seconds.  This should keep any external timers/cron scripts from accidentally getting a "you've checked in the last 60 seconds" error due to just fractions of a second differences between polling the API.

The difficulty went up significantly last night.  So if it is just this last 24hrs that could be it.

The 24 hour earnings calculation uses the current PPS rate multiplied by your share submissions in the last 24 hours.  This causes the calculation to be inaccurate for the first 24 hours after the difficulty change.  If your speed stays constant, your average 24 hour earnings will be the new value as a result of the difficulty increase.
