Washington Sundar I assume is a replacement of Hardik Pandya. KL Rahul I guess has been given another chance by the BCCI, they want him to learn from Rohit and take his place in the future. They could have given other young talent a chance but I guess they want to try this guy more. He was captaining earlier the Punjab team in IPL and is now the captain of the new Lucknow franchise there is something in him that I assume we do not know  

I don't think that Washington Sundar is a replacement for Hard dick. A spin-bowling allrounder can't replace a pace-bowling allrounder, as both of them are suitable for different occasions. For the first option, we already have Ravindra Jadeja. No matter how hard Kohli and his cronies try, it will be hard for Washington to perform at a level above that of Jadeja. The only plus point for the former is that he enjoys support from Kohli, as Jadeja is being considered as close to MS Dhoni. And I don't want to comment anything more on Rahul. He is a complete waste. I don't want to squander my time commenting on him.

Actually, if you look at how Washington Sundar plays we can say that he can play almost anywhere in the batting order and can give some important overs in the last power play. Sundar can also open the bowling as he has already done for India. He is also a good fielder and can save a few runs with his fielding. But if Ravindra Jadeja is 100% fit, I would pick Jadeja over Washington Sundar any day of the week.

What I was suggesting was both type of allrounders are suitable for different occasions. Washington Sundar or Ashwin maybe suitable in spin-friendly tracks within the subcontinent, but in SENA nations someone like Venkatesh Iyer would be more suitable. And that is the reason why I consider Iyer as the perfect replacement for Hard dick. But the Kohli-Rahul cabal doesn't want Iyer in the side for obvious reasons. How Ganguly and Dravid get around this issue needs to be seen. Indian senior players are acting like a mafia. They don't want younger players in the team.

As cricket fan you are free to build your narrative on any cricketing issue but in reality it doesn't work like that, at least when selectors along with skipper sit around the table. If any team in the world start considering every all rounder same then they are destined to doom and rightly so.

Only seam allrounder is able to replace other seam allrounder, same with spin all rounder.  

For example if England playing on spin track then they can't replace Moeen ali with Woakes, similarly India can't replace Hardik,Thakur with Jadeja, Ashwin, Washi, Axar on seaming wicket.

After IPL, PSL is the biggest cricket league the quality of pace bowling seen here is incredible. The only limitation of PSL is that star players of rest of the world do not participate in this tournament.

PSL Update:Multan Sultan today quite easily chased 203 runs target set by Lahore Qalandars.
Shan Masood has not played any T20I for Pakistan and is included in Multan Sultan team. He is player of the match in todays game as he managed to socre 83 runs of 50 balls. Meanwhile the runs scoring machine for Pakistan aka Muhammad Rizwan is scoring runs in PSL, today 69 runs of 42 balls.

Currently, we have some good number of cricketing events around so just because of this we have very few peoples watching this PSL and no one talking about this even I just check now this year some good number of channels and apps are showing this live which is good but still need some better marketing and exposure which is possible by time to have some better updates and information about this event right now I have not watched any match of this season due to my schedule but reading some good updates about few matches and today just few hours ago Lahore beat Karachi in very interesting match with Fakhar Zaman done maiden century of this season and now Karachi is at bottom with 3 loses out of 3 matches and Multan is leading table under Mohammad Rizwan by 2 wins out of 2 matches.

It was great to see a really high-scoring match between Multan and Lahore, the batsmen did really well and I am sure the viewers have been entertained quite well.

I also agree that PSL really needs a little more marketing. Because the marketing right now is nowhere near IPL marketing. Well, if we are being honest IPL marketing is absolutely out of this world and always keeps the cricket fans interested. Maybe, the other League should follow the same tactics and in that way, they might make a little more revenue.

IPL seems like a different beast in this regard due to its followerbase. I am not sure that ICC is scheduling their calendar for any other league except IPL. Due to the massive revenues being generated by IPL, its promotions and marketing also high in intense. I am not saying that any other league that will equal or beat IPL in terms of revenue or followerbase but India's population must be the core reason for all these and any cricket playing nation wants to compete or host a league like IPL then they should first focus on having massive followers then only they could think about anything like IPL.

I guess if three or more cricket paying countries plan for a combined league with selected teams from their own T20 league then I guess that might be more interesting and might become a big one like IPL.

No doubt PCB is poor board but now this year with the help of Ramiz Raja experience they have some good success first time Australia and New Zealand sports channels showing this league and many other media houses also involved which is good success for them and with this all next year they can do some better because now income is increasing, and they will be able to have some more marketing material for more adoption and better response.

This looks like PSL is gaining more popularity. It is quite surprised to see PSL YouTube channel having such a good number of subscribers. Pakistan is a good team, and if the country hasn't got any security issues the team could've made themselves even stronger than now. Also PSL might've gained even more popularity. Always the rivalry between India and Pakistan is kept active through some means.

And also probably it's because India was the first country to do something like this if I remember correctly!
Probably the first one was called ICL instead of IPL. And in that tournament almost every country sent a team of their own, unlike the IPL which was a mixture of players from different countries.
I think that is also a reason why IPL is so popular. And it really unlikely that any other League will surpass IPL in any way.

Yes, that thing about the Pakistan cricket board is somewhat true because they are nowhere near as rich as BCCI. And sometimes I think that these types of boards should concentrate more on finding young talents rather than achieving a huge revenue.

I mean unless they are running the tournament taking a big loss of economy. In that way they can be more successful as a board and also those players who were performing well will be able to strengthen the national squad later.
