I never expected Croatia to struggle in Group D but it have became a reality now and the players of Croatia will need to put in their best effort when they play against Scotland today if they wish to progress to the next stage in this tournament. Croatia have performed very well during the last world cup, and if they can revive that performance against Scotland today, I guess they should be able to beat Scotland.

Not if Scotland bring the same A game they took to the English in the last match. They should have won that, and honestly also were the overall better team against Czech... but I'll be honest and didn't watch Croatia play yet so can't say if the bookies are right making them favourites -- but I think the Scots will feel better suited as underdogs in every game!

On that note, if Southgate persists with the squad and style, he may actually lose tonight.

I guess we all wonder the same here. I will put some "dust" just for fun and see what happens. If though decide to play ball without being cynical, it will be a great match but I seriously doubt it. As for the other today's match, I believe that we will see a very entertaining match since both teams want the win and only the win.

I really believe England will win today in the last game of the group stage. They deserve to be underdogs in term of players although I don't think the czech are an easy opponent for England. While both of them have 4 point and these two team will qualify.

Croatia vs Scotland is the toughest match for both teams because they both need a win. To be honest I would have preferred Croatia to win this match but it would be difficult to say Scotland will lose to Croatia when both have equal chance.

Anyway, England should be able to win the group because considering England playing at home, it should be a trigger to have higher spirits. But, I think the Czech Republic - England match might end in a draw, because both of them only need a draw to stay safe in 1st and 2nd place, because if one of them loses and Croatia can win big then of course their position will be replaced. This is a difficult prediction but I have already made bets on this match with over 2.5 goals each, I'm not sure for now hopefully the match will still go hard.

Unfortunately England will miss Mount and chidwell  in this crucial match  the duo had been isolated https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/57564682] because of Covid-19  however that shouldn't be an obstacle to to England qualifying to the next round the team is star-studded their quality replacement for the duo, Grealish would likely replace Mount while Trippier can also play as a left back, meanwhile Harry Kane need to score in today's match to prove his critic wrong, with a draw England will still qualify even if they came third in the group.

They can win it but people talked about their plan to end with a second position in the group. The draw with Scotland is part of England plan. I don't know and I see it is risky. Put your final results in the final day is risky, if any mistake occurs, no chance to fix it.

Croatia have more experience and greater players but Scotland shown that they are not a weak team. Croatia must win and they can win but it is not an easy match for them. Ante Rebic was a young player in World Cup 2018 and this Euro is time for him to take over the leadership from Modric, Mandzukic, Rakitic. I hope Rebic can help Croatia to go to 1/8 round.

Therefore Kane deserves to be given time to play. The Czechs have a bit of a lead in goal productivity, so it's going to be a good game. England need a win to lock the first place in the temporary standings. This was done so that England met a relatively lighter opponent in the knockout stages.

I see it that way, at the end of the 90 minutes it counts that you have scored goals, and so far the English have owed a lot.

Honestly Netherlands was already the better team in that group, I know it may have looked like they got a bit of lucky in there but the reality is that they were the best team in their group. It was them, Austria, Ukraine and north Macedonia, which is a weak group for many teams.

I do not think that they will be great on the next stages, let's wait and see what is going to happen but I believe Italy and France has the biggest chances, I know France got a tie but I believe that was just an unlucky game that's all, they are still the best team in the tournament. It is not going to be easy for any team to be fair but when you are beating everyone like Italy and showing a great roster, and if you are good like France on paper, it is really rarely that you end up getting a disappointing result in an elimination game, they play to win in those games and they usually do.

The odds for this event are good enough - 3.9  I will not bet, but in my opinion such an outcome is likely much more often than once every 2.9 matches. Most likely, the bookmakers set the odds without thinking about the standings of the teams, but only focusing on their strength.

Mount out of the game is going to be a bug headache for Southgate in his midfielder selection because there is no better attacking midfielder better than Mount right now in the team, I think he would need to switch to 433 maybe Sancho and Jack on the wing, Sterling and Foden is not yelling results for the English side, Foden has been awful for the last two games, Southgate is very poor at picking his first Eleven, he also needs to give Lewin a good playing time, Kane is off the light for now

As both England and the Czech Republic already have 4 points maybe they make a kind of silent agreement to don't play to aggressively and that both team aim for a draw so that both of them have 5 points after this match and will definitely advance into the round of the last 16. If one of them loses there is still a possibility that they won't advance so it will be really interesting to see, how those two teams will approach the game. Croatia was one of the biggest disappointments of this tournament so far with only 1 point after 2 matches as as current vice world champion. With a win today they can still make it into the next round though.

Not really, right? England and the Czech Republic are almost certain to qualify. Even if one of the teams loses and the other game doesn't end in a draw, then the Czech Republic or England is only third but with four points and that would definitely be enough for the round of 16. So the only exciting match is Croatia against Scotland.

Fast forward Croatia scored 2 goals by Modric and Perisic, so Croatia 3 - 1 Scotland while England is still leading with 1 goal.. Not reassuring although the game almost finished..
