Anyway, guys watch Volk vs Holloway 2 and tell me what you think.  It's close but I think Holloway won.

Definitely wasn't a robbery that some are claiming it to be, and wouldn't have been a robbery either way in my opinion. I do think Max just about took it for me. However, I can understand how the judges would see different. I think with the blessing of replays, and statistic counts, us as viewers can sometimes make better decisions, but ultimately it's what is seen in real time, which I don't know about you, I think is largely guess work.

Some of the punches thrown are so quick, I don't even know if they've landed. Whereas, when we had a few fights at fight island, during the pandemic I could at least hear the contact, with fans that all changes.

As for the rematch, I think Max will actually take it this time around. That's where my bet is going at the very least.

I think opposite. I think Volkanovski will win this fight, again by decision. They are both strikers and both eat and throw lots of strikes. And in the end, if you havent knocked down a champ, judges often give victory to a current champ. I do not deny a lucky punch, but both of them can land it. Imho, a top fighter with base wrestling or bjj is able to give Volkanovski maximum troubles. Sort of a small version of Oliveira

Dunno man...  After seeing Volk do Brian Ortega then finish TKZ, I think he improved a tad more than Holloway did and he prolly has the higher ceiling.  It's gonna be close but kinda confident Volk takes it.  Then again, my picks have been terribad so you're prolly going to be proven right.

What are your thoughts about Cannonier vs Adesanya fight? In the recent video on his youtube channel, Adesanya has told that Cannonier is a dark horse of their division and he is really interested in fighting him. It is unusually, but Cannonier has started trash talking first Excited to see if he can prove his words, or get punished.

What is your opinion on Adesanya pearl beads? Look expensive, but arent pearls for girls ?

Yes, I think Volcanovski will win again. Maybe easily if he fights smart and wrestle a bit. I just took the ml 1.52 here. I am not sure about Volcanovski moving down to bantamweight and of course he is too small to try at lightweight too.    

I also think Alexander Volkanovski is a smart and learning fighter, in every fight he takes, he will surely offer new moves and techniques, that he has acquired in his previous fights and that is what I like about him, and in my opinion in his previews match against Max Holloway he already downloaded his moves and pretty much will surely look out for every mistake he did,

I also do not agree with UFC rankings. There are divisions that are getting boring and it is hard for a new prospect to reach the top ranking for a title shot. Many were given title shots when they're already around 30. Of course there is no accurate system in calculating their rankings. They probably have a panel with marketing/financial analysts included.

This is all with the performance of a fighter, if he or she wasn't ready then there is no title shot for him, and I know the Rankings are just there but it not really accurate, but to be on the top you surely need hard work to do it, it can not be given to a fighter, if he doesn't have the quality of being a champion, for example, Khamzat Chimaev have given a break and has given a higher ranking match because he has shown total dominance to a fight and Dana White has acknowledged that and he surely wants to pursue getting to the top that fast and asking for a fight, that is hard work and dedication, that is why Chimaev have skyrocketed to the rank 3

I like how Jiri Prochazka was given real fights right away when he joined UFC and a title shot in his 3rd fight. Although he probably get a pass because he is pretty exciting to watch and very marketable. The UFC should do more fights like Chimaev fighting the second ranked contender. It is more exciting and lively.    

It will be given to a low-ranked fighter if he has shown the potential that he can likely gonna do that, I think Khamzat Chimaev and Jiri Prochazka were the lucky ones to have given such privilege but it will not be given if you are not worthy of earning it, and I think not all can really do something like that,

I can't wait for this UFC event to start in few days and I am going to tune in early to watch prelims with Cowboy Cerrone, Uriah Hall and Maycee Barber.
Main and co-main events are just cherries on top, and I think we can find some great betting opportunities.
I am confident Israel Adesanya will win in main event but odds are very low on him, but Cannonier is great fighter and I believe fight will go all five rounds.

Volk definitely has looked brilliant in his recent fights, but I think he's beatable, and Max has the skill set to beat him. The thing is Ortega was outclassed on the night, which honestly I was pretty shocked by Volk. However, I'm kind of just wanting him to lose because it's getting a bit stale, and honestly judging by how Korean Zombie got beat, Max is probably the only one currently in the position to challenge him.

Volkanovski gave me hope and fascinated me over time. But his performance in this fight was poor. Also the two fighters had a great match. Holloway was great in this fight, he approached wisely and strategically. I thought these adjustments were made faster because Volkanovski was more experienced and knew exactly what Holloway had to offer. That's what happened.

I haven't decided yet, but for the main event, while I'm obviously a Izzy fan, I actually think Cannonier gets the win. If I was Cannonier I'd be looking to secure a takedown, despite his knockout power. We saw how he smashed up Brunson with his elbows, and I think if he can get on top of Izzy, he ends the fight with them.

However, we also saw that Brunson was able to rock Cannonier, and Izzy will pretty much have all the opportunities in the world to knock him out, if he fights in a similar way. You have to think though, that his coaches have told him not to go in there looking to beat him in the stand up. Distract him with the stand up, by maybe throwing some shots with intent, but ultimately looking to secure a takedown, and build from there.

I'm going to be nervous whatever way I bet. Just feel the odds are worth it on Cannonier's side, and if I don't win the bet, I'll still be pleased with the result.

^  Just from a perspective of choosing a winner and a loser, I'd say don't fade Adesanya.  The guy is obv a level above everybody else rn at 185.  But from a betting perspective, you could use Cannonier as a hedge if you got Adesanya in a parlay that's winning more than 3x.  

And dunno...  Adesanya has been asking for Cannonier for a couple of years now.  So he prolly knows he can beat him easy.  But then again he asked for Blachowicz too.    That was a different weight class tho.

Izzy is smartest fighter I know and I can't say the same thing for Cannonier, that has advantage in power and strength.
Reach advantage with long arms of Izzy will decide this fight and I predict face of Cannonier will look a lot different after the fight  

In co-main event I really like odds on Max Holloway, but Volkanovski is damn hard to beat so I expect very interesting bloody fight.
If I had to pick one win with great odds that would be Uriah Hall win against André Muniz, just because odds on him are great

I am for Izzy all the way. This is middleweight class he had been winning more than he could handle in this division, he's going  to punish cannon if he tries to take down for Izzy will just counter him with his knees. He's going to see where the attack come from.  For instance Cannon wins, it may just be the hardest fight of his life.

Have you seen Adesanya vs Cannonoier odds? 1.21 for Izzy and 4.3 Cannonier. Bookies give Cannonier little chances to win, and he is top2 in weight division I think this is going to Adesanyas usual fight. He is not rushing anywhere. Maybe fight would even go full distance. Izzy will fence with his jab, throw lots of calf kicks, change stances frequently. Stances and reach advantage is Adesanyas best weapon. Did you notice that he always fight in mirror stance, that allow both fighters to land more damaging strikes, but due to reach advantage he always win that duel?

Sugar is one of my favorite strikers, he uses both guards very effectively and always makes high numbered combos when he starts punching. All of these hits are explosively accurate. All the fights on this card are exciting, I can't wait to watch. I haven't made a full decision for now, but I'm planning to place a bet for a game or two, one of these matches will definitely be Sugar's match.

That Cherries on Top is what I am really waiting for the Main and Co-main for me is a mindblowing fight to watch and definitely the Main event will go the distance that is for sure if you are watching Israel Adesanya and how he fights, this dude is literally making his opponent think on what is next in technicality he can not underestimate Jared Cannonier, but when it comes to speeds Izzy is your guy I'd say Cannonier, can have the power, but with the Smarts of Israel Adesanya, I think he can still manage this fight,

Max Holloway is a crucial guy to fight and because if you fight him error is not an option that is why Alexander Volkanovski needs to be cautious when he fights, we can never know how far Holloway have got, but still, Volkanovski has an upgrade of his sleeves when he fights the Korean Zombie, Jung Chan-sung pretty much have proven he evolve his style from a careless Zombie and tanking all the hits, from a calculating zombie that pretty much has a technical approach in his strike, because in overtime his durability also withers, but Volkanovski have proven he is more smart than the Korean Zombie that is why I think the fight with Holloway can still be the same result,

True, always feel weird betting against my favourites, hence why it feels a little weird to not go with Izzy. Although, I'm not much of a fan of O'Malley, and I do think he's very beatable. At times I think there's been questions about his heart when the going gets tough. Plus, he has a tough opponent ahead of him.

Whatever the outcome I'll be interested to see how he does. Probably one of his hardest opponents to date? I actually think he'll look to sit behind the jab, keep the distance, and therefore keep the power shots, and take downs to a minium, and just look to out score his opponent. However, I'm not willing to bet money on that.

Did anybody watch the pre fight press conference?  Watch it if you haven't and wait for Sean Strickland and Adesanya have a little back and forth at each other.  It is hilaaarious.  Strickland owned Adesanya's ass and it was sooo funny.  Omg, I hope those two get to face each other in a couple of years.

Strickland was just being funny and was keeping it real.  And you guys know how Adesanya gets cringey sometimes...    He had nothing on Strickland.
