Well, I had a opportunity to cash out for £500, but didn't take it as I thought the Karolina Kowalkiewicz would go to a decision. I didn't bet on either of them, just for the fight to go the distance. Definitely wasn't expecting Karolina Kowalkiewicz to come out like she did. Anyway, I actually had a pretty good night in terms of betting if it wasn't for that fight I could've been looking at £5k.

That last minute switch to Volkov again nearly paid off. Again, wasn't expecting him to finish Rozenstruik like that. Some might argue that Herb called the fight too early, but honestly if you look at it from his point of view I thought it was a decent stoppage. Rozenstruik didn't look good, stumbled several times during that combo, and was turtling up.

 

I had a bet that I think I could have won and can get a ton of money once but I suddenly stop from betting on it, then a decision I surely regret it, but as I am thinking about it now I think it is still OK that I have stopped from betting because my money was still there but I haven't won a ton either, anyway, the women's division could be a bummer sometimes and you can not make any prediction regarding their fight because It sometimes not consistent and can have a different outcome from the one you have to think of,

It is a good thing that you switch your bet to Volkov, I am seeing a different route to the Heavyweight division, there are now guys that are very technical in the heavyweight division and Jairzinho Rozenstruik will not have a chance anymore, he was taken easily by Volkov, and yes it was really a good stoppage that everyone didn't notice, Rozenstruik was not in condition and is wobbly Dean Herb call was to initially lessen his damage,

I see some people in the internet complain about early stoppage in the fight between Volkov and Rozensturik. As if Rozensturik could have recovered, he was protecting himself and could continue. As well as the Herb Dean stopped this fight, fighters were confused that this is over. I think Herb Dead did exactly what he should do, saved Rozensturik from receiving unnecessary punches.

And Unnecessary damage, he could receive a way ton of expenses in healing himself not from bruises and stretches but with brain damage if the fight still continues, many people really didn't see the importance of an early stoppage Volkov will not hesitate to punch even further if Herb Dean doesn't call it, and most fighters would not notice that his opponent is not in any condition to fight because of the heat of the battle so kudos to Herb Dean, for doing that there will be a lot of criticism but Dean is just doing his job and an excellent one for saving fighters lives,

With the cancellation of Whitaker and vetorri for this up coming Saturday not the most exciting ppv you are right. In recent months fights that have headlined women have been a bit of a disappointment. This is nothing against women or the fighters themselves, just not really living up the hype, think Dana must have noticed this and with the return of his favorite shevshenko she is sure to put some oomf back into women's MMA. I expect a new champion with the Czech monster showing dominance of the old Brazilian.

Before UFC PPV Volkov vs. Rozenstruik last week, there were some main card battles in the women dominance for the title, I also like watching some of the women fighters but only for the women fighters, but overall I like the main card matches for the men to fight for the title. So I think even though Whitaker and Vetorri are canceled in the next PPV fight but I hope to replace the main card match instead of the female fighter.

That was quick KO win for Volkov against Rozenstruik and I expected to see to see fight ending early but not that early.
Rozenstruik later complained that stoppage was early and that he could stay in fight longer, but I doubt he would last much longer.
In co-main event Movsar Evloev was very dominant and I see him as one of the next big contenders for championship title in this category.

I think I will just stick to these 4 fights and nothing more, in giving my thoughts on the main fight Glover Teixeira seems kind of slow when it comes to striking but that Rear naked choke to Jan Błachowicz was really technical that he set up Blachowicz in that position I think he can do it to Jiri Prochazka aswell, but Prochazka's advantage was his speed and not very unusual kind of striking that is why I like him, but for now, I will be sticking this feeling in I would further make my analysis soon,

There will be unnecessary calls that Herb Dean may give, but he is not perfect and often makes mistakes, but still, that call really saves Jairzinho Rozenstruik from further brain damage, or unable to fight anymore, you can also see that Volkov hesitates for a second and checked Rozenstruik because that is the plan, then when he sees that Rozenstruik is wobbly then a barrage of punches will surely going to get him, I really think Alexander Volkov, and I think he can even be further up the ranking to Derrick Lewis of Curtis Blaydes, but he can not go up further than that, I think he would rather get focus to those money fights more than engaging on to the belt.

I though that Herb Dean is the best ref in UFC. UFC always use him in major fights. Or maybe I am under a vision UFC created around him. Without googling, I cant remember any bad decision he has taken. He is always protecting fighters against extra damage. Maybe he sometimes did not notice fighters holding fence, but that is not the worse what they can do.

Did you guys notice that this weeks UFC event is going to be in Singapore? This is only fourth time UFC is there. Glad that UFC is moving out from US and spreading roots everywhere. I only wish they had more European events.

Oooh right!  That match up would've been more exciting than the main event imho.  But I think it's too early for Whitaker to take on another high level fighter after taking on Adesnya just a couple of months or so ago.  And he took on good fighters before the rematch before Adesanya too.  Till, Cannonier and a depleted Gastelum.  That's an impressive run.  And I guess who's going for it again by going thru Vettori, Costa and maybe Brunson?

Anyway, who do you guys got for the main event?  I'm thinking Prochazka for my mulit master and Teixeira in the low tier of my lottery ticket for value.

So, I'm in full support of stopping it, and I wish fighters just acknowledged that. Every fighter always says they can continue, even when they clearly can't.

I say he may have been able to continue because we don't know, but in all likelihood the way he was shying away from it, and not really defending himself effectively he probably would have been knocked out.

I would probably stop the fight if I was in place of Herb Dean, but it's not easy to make decisions when you have two giants like this octagon and they don't fall so easy.

It's time to move on to next events and something new from Singapore is called Road to UFC, so we have three days full of fights with fighters that could sign a new contract with UFC.
There are five fights every day with mix of fighters from Asia, Europe and other parts of the world, and I never heard about them but this is the right time to shine.

Lets take a look on next main events odds. Duelbits give 1.47 for Prochazka and 2.65 on a champ Teixeira. We have experience vs youth. Prochazka has 28 wins and 25 by KO, but only 2 of them  were gained in UFC. Prochazka has fought top9 and top7. Teixeira has been in UFC since 2012 and had victories over Blachowicz, Evans, Bader. Lost by decision to "Bones" (maybe even thanks to Jones dirty tricks with Glovers elbow). Should odds really be like that, in favour for contender? Is Teixeira really a temporary champ?

If he were to win this, I don't see him holding onto the belt much longer. His age has to catch up with him at some point, and there has definitely been signs of it doing so, even in the fights he has won.

That would be some surprise. I know we've already seen an upset in recent months in WMMA, but damn for Shev to lose this would probably be a bigger surprise.

Going up against a old experienced fighter has its drawbacks, but Teixeira definitely isn't at his best, and for a younger fighter you'll want to exploit that. Might be worth Jiri looking to exhaust Teixeira in the first few rounds, before turning the heat up late into the fight.

Not sure we'll see a finish, might be worth looking at the decision lines.

Glover Teixeira is one of the best grapplers in the UFC, with 10 submission wins I think this is solidifying how good he is in Grappling but on his first fight he is pretty confident in his boxing but after his losses to Anthony Johnson and Alexander Gustafsson he changes his style and returns to his roots so right now Glover Teixeira is pretty much dominant with Grappling, meanwhile, Jiri Prochazka can be very dominant with his height and wing span, Jiri Prochazka is taller than Teixeira and pretty much being tall in the  light heavyweight division, and I am noting here his elbow spinning move is the most devastating attack Jiri can give to Glover, in my opinion even if Glover Teixeira has a dominant form with Grappling, Juri Prochazka has a pretty much dominant striking and can pressure Teixeira with his distance advantage and men I don't really think Glover Teixeira has a chin to withstand those combos,

I think it is also a good choice to go to Glover Teixeira, I mean pretty much Teixeira has a dominant form with Grappling and there are times that Juri Prochazka sometimes has given his back to a match where his opponent will give him rear-naked choke so a possibility that Teixeira will win this is possible, but like you, I really like Jiri Prochazka, and I am not going to take his side because I like the guy, but because I think he can take the win and the belt because I think if one of those uppercuts or punches could hit Teixeira it is over because Teixeira doesn't have a good chin anymore, but yeah anything can surely happen on the fight so I am really excited.

Teixeira has 10 times more fight in UFC than Prochazka. That is something worth estimating. Prochazka has fought only two top opponents, while Teixeira faced almost every top or decent lightweight fighter during last 5-10 years. Did you know that Teixeira was Chuck Liddells main training partner. He has gained a lot of experience from those camps. And remember how few people believed in him before fight against Błachowicz? At this age Teixeira can still survive lot of punches. Good example fight against Smith. Almost 20min of face smashing

Absolutely the best chance for Jiri though. I can bet with anyone that fight won't last all five rounds, and I think this could be best safe bet we can make on this fight card.
Main event is interesting, but I think we are underestimating other great fights between ladies,  Weili Zhang needs a win after two defeats from Rose Namajunas, and Joanna needs payback for last defeat from Zhang.
Valentina Shevchenko is always fun to watch and Taila Santos has only one defeat in her MMA carrier but winning here would be sensational.
One thing I am missing in this fight card is some heavyweight fight, but we do have light heavyweights.
