well before the fight Oliveira said in the press conference that he will knockout Makhachev in the 1st round, so he went forward straight to Makhachev like a psycho and thrown all of his fight IQ in the garbage, Were Makhachev respected Oliveira and keep his calm and focus towards the fight, while many don't want to engage Oliveira on the ground Islam Makhachev is different he likes Oliveira being in the ground and that choke was pretty much tight for Oliveira so he tap out and lost the fight,
Charles Olivera won against Tony Ferguson, Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje by walking towards the opponent like a psycho and were able to take their punishment while dishing out punishment of his own but the difference here in this fight was that Islam Makhachev knew exactly what he will do and he will not back down from the ground game while others were afraid of his ground game Islam Makhachev jumped into his guard and submitted him  Cheesy.

The event turned out to be a banger of a card.  There were 11 matched and just two went the distance.

Results here:   https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/91921-ufc-fight-night

And wow, didn't expect Lemos to turn up the heat vs Rodriguez but it's Rodriguez's own fault.  She wasn't giving enough pressure at R1 to make Lemos slow down around R2 as she has bad cardio.

But yeah...  That's that.  Here's the countdown vid for 281!  Weeeee!

I really think Charles Oliveira has a different approach toward those guys but with Islam Makhachev, the Approach was really different, but surely his plan toward Makhachev isn't different from the rest, he surely thinks that he can take Makhachev on the ground, and this fight really turn into a Bazilian Jui-Jitsu VS Dagestan Wrestling at it's finest and we can surely see the most dominant wrestling in the UFC,

This is the result of my pick from UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs. Lemos

Marina Rodriguez VS Amanda Lemos ROUND 3 - KO/TKO LOST

Lemos was really tough for Rodriguez, we can see that she dominated Marina Rodriguez in the stand-up, and we can see the power of Lemos throwing and taking down Marina Rodriguez to the ground despite their incredible size difference, is really overwhelming, that is why I lose my pick and Amanda Lemos win this,

Neil Magny VS Daniel Rodriguez ROUND 3 - SUBMISSION - WIN

Just like I thought Daniel Rodriguez will likely do not have a chance of winning against Magny, I think it was a poor decision on Daniel Rodriguez's part, in those standing and Rodriguez's ground game defense was really poor against Magny,

Jinh Yu Frey VS Polyana Viana ROUND 1 - KO/TKO - WIN

It was a fast KO for Polyana Viana, if you would see those fast combination from Viana was really fast for Jinh Yu Frey, and in under a minute, just like that, Jinh Yu Frey just got nothing over the beautiful Polyana Viana,

This UFC 281 event I think I will only make bet for 2 fights, Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira and Carla Esparza vs Zhang Weili.

I'm convinced enough with the history of Pereira can beat Adesanya two times in kick boxing, so he has a chance to pull an upset. The odds for Pereira is @2.41 which is worth to bet him.

While Carla Esparza vs Zhang Weili, I'm surprised to see Esparza is become huge underdog with the odds @3.70 while Weili odds is @1.24. It's true Weili has more strength, but he lose two times against Rose Namajunas, while Esparza dominating the fight against Namajunas. I would bet Esparza since the odds is juicy.

I was late in checking on the fights but I had my bet on different fighters with the main event and I kinda like how Amanda Lemos back then even though she doesn't have the reach advantage and doesn't have the height as well, she has really shown her strength when she slammed Marina Rodriguez to the ground that was one epic takedown from her, and I think that she will be a bigger threat to the Women's Strawweight Division for sure and I really think she needs to get her revenge on Jessica Andrade, from their recent fight lost,

While in the Co-main, I went with Neil Magny aswell I really think he's got the height reach, and experience to inking Daniel Rodriguez a defeat, and lastly I went to Jinh Yu Frey that I regretted which I think Jinh Yu Frey will be faster than Viana, which is not the thing that happen,

Anything can really happen inside the Octagon, and seeing how wild Alex Pereira can be he has the solid power punch that could end up the reign of Israel Adesanya, for sure, but I am staying with Israel Adesanya, he has been 3 years since he won the Middleweight belt against Kelvin Gastelum, and this is MMA, not kickboxing there are different rules that was set here and in kickboxing, that for me Israel Adesanya will surely win this against Alex Pereira for sure,

While for Carla Esparza VS Zhang Weili, I really think Weili outgrew Rose Namajunas to seal a rematch again but for Carla Esparza, I think she will have a problem with her, but we will see if she is really beyond what she has achieved, because I think she will likely be having a problem when it comes to Carla Esparza,

That was great for you in getting the main event but surely it was a fight that could go a different way Lemos was pretty much in a dominant position she successfully got the jabs, and the takedowns, and surely it will not account for much for Marina Rodriguez to retaliate, because Amanda Lemos was all over her, but that was it, I was just upset on the results that are all,

Poirier vs Chandler would be exciting and some articles said that it could be the 'fight' of this year. Both has advantages over another but I'd probably go with Dustin. Well, I cannot clearly vision his edge over iron mike but I have a good feeling on this one for him. Both has 'heat' at the present to win this fight but I',d bias experience. Also poirier is a cleaner fighter (just in my pov). But if ever iron mike would win this one, I'd still be happy as a fan but not as a gambler LOL. My basis on my bias with this fight is hunger. Dustin's name became more popular when he settled the score between him and McGregor. Given that his recent fight was a lost, it might give him a bigger drive to "reclaim" the throne. But as I've said, whoever wins would be fine. Bith are great fighters in the first place, I'm gonna surely enjoy this one.

Honestly at those odds, there's no point on betting Izzy. He's most likely to win via a decision I would think, if you want to bolster it, but Alex definitely has a chance. I do think Izzy is a better fighter now though, and he'll be more familiar with MMA, and might even try to mix in a few takedowns just to put Alex off his game. That could potentially be risky though.

Izzy will most likely keep his distance, and not stand in front of Alex like Strickland did. It'll honestly probably be a rather boring fight with Izzy point fighting, and Alex looking for the knockout. I wish Izzy would just put on a show, and try to knock him out because of their history, but I just can't see it. There's too much for Izzy to lose, and he's almost got into a pattern now where he just does enough to win, whatever way that might be.

I'm a fan of Izzy obviously, and while I still respect the way he fights, because he's nothing short of brilliant. However, from a entertainment perspective he's lost a lot of his pull. He used to be one of the most exciting fighters on the roster, but with defending the belt, that's changed somewhat.

^  I'm kinda hopeful Adesanya would show us something new...  Like a new shade in his overall game plan like going for TD's?  As I said before, I feel like Adesanya has to incorporate some wrestling against Pereira and get his arms fatigued and take away some of that powerrr.  And if he has to do it, he has to do it early.  Like the first couple of rounds.  Dunno...  Just my humble opinion.

If Adesanya does do it again like he did Cannonier, k.  But it's gonna be risky.

Some vids.  Enjoy!

Probably you are right Israel Adesanya needs to have a new game plan for Alex Pereira, we can say the demons are bugging Israel Adesanya to clear out his mind, but the sight of Pereira could be a fright for him or big perseverance to stay focused, for me I like seeing an Israel Adesanya evolving his style takedowns could surely be a master plan and a weakness to Pereira, it will surely disrupt his fight patterns but does Israel Adesanya wants to risk it if his mindset is just like Francis Ngannou to do the unbelievable like Ngannou in order to win he would likely do something he never has done before just to surprise not only Pereira but also the fans that are doubting him,

Well, we will surely see in the fight if he will do it or not, or if he got another ace on his sleeve, but for him to pull that off he needs to risk it for Pereira which is not like Israel Adesanya to do, but like you, I am really hopeful, at least make a clear statement to Alex Pereira that this is his turf and with him getting in is like entering a house uninvited, for me Knockout or submission win will surely give Alex Pereira the impression that it is still too early for him to try out the Champion that he needs to crawl down the from below first,

Poirier vs Chandler would be exciting and some articles said that it could be the 'fight' of this year.

That does not look like a fight of the year to me. I think it is easy to predict a winner here - Poirier. Because Chandler is overrated. Chandler, a master of wrestling, wont use that advantage over a pure striker like Poirier, and will be knocked out. Chandler should have stayed in Bellator. He was a champ there, but now is 2-2 in UFC, lost to every good opponent. Who has he beaten? Old Ferguson? Hooker, who has lost 4 out of 5 last fights. And Poirier, who has only lost by subs to a submission master like Khabib and Oliveira (if we take last 5-8 years).

Well, we all have different kinds of like and I think he just like the fact that this fight could be the fight of the year, but for the majority here that this fight could be down below tier being great, but there might be a reason behind him for saying things like this because for me the Main-event will be the one that most fans are quite looking forward in seeing, and I know many wants to see Israel Adesanya getting beaten by Alex Pereira for sure, for the many that are posting here that saying the style of Izzy is boring then this is a chance for them to see a knockout but this time they like Israel Adesanya to be beaten down by Pereira,

But as for me, this is still going according to Israel Adesanya's plan and I want this fight to get dicey for sure, and for Israel Adesanya to pull some exciting moves maybe a takedown (please)

In Some news right now Joanna Jędrzejczyk almost ended his retirement when she almost calls Dana White that she wants to compete again, but yeah she maybe just missed the octagon and fought so badly that she almost did it, pretty much not a great thing to say to announce your retirement but your heart still doesn't want to let go, here the Article

Yeah, he prolly won't.  Lol.  But it's just me...  I feel like he could and should.  It's up to him if he does or doesn't use that ace up his sleeve if he has it.

Overall I think we'll see the same of what Adesanya did with Cannonier.  Cannonier has massive powerrr in his hands too but he wasn't able to use it as Adesanya is really pretty good at evading and in fighting from the outside.  One difference between Cannonier and Pereira tho is Pereira doesn't need a lot of wind up to generate power.  So it's less telegraphed and more dangerous.  It could come out of nowhere.

Here's the Multi Master.  Enjoy...  Wink

Izzy seems to be very vocal on knocking Alex out. While Alex is relatively quiet in comparison. I just can't see Izzy risking it. Izzy knows he's probably the better technical fighter, and even when he did get knocked out in the past, he was winning that fight. So, risking it all to basically knock out Alex, which he's perfectly capable of doing, don't get me wrong. Just seems like he's playing into the hands of Alex a little bit.

I'm seeing 1.50 odds for a Izzy win, and the decision would be around 2.30 which honestly the latter probably isn't worth the risk, because if Izzy does decide to come out guns blazing, he has every chance of getting a knockout, whether that's on Alex or himself.

I do think Izzy will win. I'll be hoping for that outcome, but I'll be honest this is probably the most excited I've been for a Izzy fight since Costa, and we know how that turned out Cheesy.

If I am making predictions in UFC Multi Master Challenge than I am going to pick Adesanya to win this fight, but you are right that betting on him to win outright is not worth it.
Maybe some special bet could work better, like winning method or will fight go to distance or not, but there is big value betting on Pereira.
I first want to see their pre fight interviews and faceoffs before I make my final decision about the main event.

I'm kinda hopeful Adesanya would show us something new...
Entry performance with music and light effects will certainly be new.
He likes to spend time creating this himself, all this reminds me little on Undertaker and WWE, but in MMA we have real fighting Smiley

Yeah, real fights with money rewards lower than in WWE Cheesy I am not against such entry performances. I might even say that I like it, because it is entertaining. Much better than walk to octagon with dull and serious faces. Faces like someone died or is going to die. With such attitude from your team, it is mentally hard to fight. I think it was Ali who asked his team to smile always, as this calms him down and helps to fight with the stress. Like the fight is just a training and no big deal.

Israel  Adesanya is a great fighter and he is very confident about beating his opponent. And I am not going to say that he is going to win but he is a person who seems to be someone who knows what he is doing and what he is talking about. So, I think ok he actually has a plan about how he is going to approach things.

I know we all got excited about Israel vs Paulo Costa, and that did not turn out to be even competitive. But I don't think that will be the case this time.

Alex has already beaten him. If I am not mistaken, that was in kickboxing. I think that is another reason for Israel Adesanya to be very motivated to win this fight.

See?  Here we go again...  Adesanya likes to talk big during the build up before the event and then come fight day, it's just more of the same we saw in his last three matches.  I think the match ends up exactly like Adesanya vs Cannonier unless it's Pereira who surpises us.  Lolol.  I got Adesanya to win but rooting for violence.

Lmao.  Yeah I think that's prolly the only thing new he could bring tbh.

Anyway Stake has new prop markets!  Check it out..

https://stake.com/sports/mma/ufc/ufc-281-adesanya-vs-pereira/42882957-adesanya-israel-pereira-alex

I kinda like Adesanya double chance (KO or decision) at 1.60.  That looks like a safe bet.

 Grin

according to mmafighting.com alex beat Adesanya twice in kickboxing, but today Adesanya will want revenge, but if Adesanya loses today in the UFC it will be very sad and humiliating for him, I see a lot of people laughing when talking about the possibility of Adesanya losing and looking at what Adesanya said in the interview it seems to me that he is not very confident that he will win, the guy said a lot that I didn't understand at all

bookmakers are putting him as a favorite and there is a big difference in odds:

alex = @2.70
Adesanya = @1.47

but i still believe that alex managed to win
