Shakib Al Hasan is an experienced and talented player and he has proven himself alot of times when Bangladesh is in trouble,  and whenever needed he has fulfilled the duty to serve his team. 
But Bangladesh team has one issue they don't have diversity in their team which is required for building a strong team.

Bangladesh had already qualified for the ODIWC. I am not sure why there is so much fuss about them losing the ODI series at home. They are currently ranked above Pakistan on the qualification points table after winning the last match against England because of NRR.
In comparison they are far better than Australia & Pakistan. Bilateral series doesn't make a big difference. In the end what matters the most is how well you can play in an ICC tournament. I am pretty much confident that this Bangladesh team will play much better than many big teams in the ODIWC.

If you are talking about the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, then I agree. Bangladesh has already qualified, by being in the top-8. They still have 3 matches remaining, and are having 130 points. No matter how much they try, the bottom ranking teams (West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Ireland) will be able to overtake Bangladesh. And let's remember that the remaining three matches for Bangladesh are scheduled to be against one of the weakest teams in the league (Ireland, May 2023).

We have the series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka starting in two weeks from now. Now this is extremely crucial. In order to have a chance to qualify for the ODI World Cup, Sri Lanka needs to win at least 2 out of the 3 matches (and hope that South Africa lose most of their remaining matches). But then, South Africa has two matches remaining against Netherlands.

Shakib Al Hasan is a very experienced and established player. I like his game very much. He is working hard enough for the Bangladesh team. However, one of the reasons for the Bangladesh Cricket Board's backwardness is the country's political situation. The game of cricket is very much on the verge of destruction to introduce political crisis into the game. And of course yes there is no diversity in the Bangladesh team due to which they are not able to form a strong team. If Bangladesh can establish diversity in the team then surely they will be able to form a strong team and once again create a good position in the world.

Beyond this what you're expecting from Bangladesh team. According to me, the second match is the one that had the big difference. The first match is a close call and it is the best match according to me, because Bangladesh scored 209 runs and with the bowling they've took 8 wickets and England won the match in the 49^th over. In my view Bangladesh is performing good and little improvement will help the team perform even well. Tomorrow the T20 matches between England and Bangladesh gonna start. We'll find better performance there.

As far as I know 10 teams have directly qualified for the main round of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. These teams are Australia, India, England, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lnaka, South Africa, Bangladesh and Afghanistan included in the list of ten. One team will come from playing the qualifiers match. This year the 13th ODI World Cup will be held with the participation of total 11 teams.

West Indies is not paying the players as much as they should. Actually, they cannot pay those players as much as the players are getting paid from different T20 franchises. Moreover, when they ask for more salary from the West Indies cricket board, they suddenly have issues with the cricket board.

So it is better for the players to play in different T20 leagues instead of hoping for things to get better in West Indies with the West Indies cricket board.

Yes, that is not good for West Indies. But the players are having good pay. But if this continues, eventually there will not be good enough players being produced from West Indies to play in T20 leagues all across the world.

The last tri-series in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 will start today. Nepal will be playing against Papua New Guinea at Kirtipur. All the participating teams have 4 matches remaining now (2 against each other). PNG is already out of contention for the top-3 position, so the matches are not crucial for them. But in case either Nepal or the United Arab Emirates are able to win all the remaining 4 matches, then they will be able to overtake Namibia for the 3rd position. And that will allow them to participate in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier. Remaining teams need to first participate in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off.
