Thats true, Thakur giving 18 runs for the final over is really big. This has made him have more confidence on the last over. The first ball run out could've made him go for an Yorker on the next ball. New batsman gave strike to Sam Curran taking a run. Here Natarajan played good cricket with his Yorker and made two balls without runs. Fifth ball went for a four and the last ball without a run. Finally he took India win the match.

Big respect to Sam Curran and his fighting spirit until the end. Why has Indian fielding suddenly gone so abysmal out of the blue? We have so many youngsters in the line up and everyone expects the to be very athletic and have safe pair of hands..seems to be the opposite at the moment.

How they managed to do that is inconsequential. I would say that it was another close match, which England failed to finish properly. The target was not that far for England. With 3 overs remaining, they needed 27 runs. But two tight overs from Hardik and Bhuvneshwar changed the course of the match, before Natarajan finished it.

Eventually Indian bowlers held their nerve during the last three overs and managed to win the match (and thereby the series). What is the point in putting up such a tough fight, if he can't finish it? The 9th wicket partnership between Mark Wood and Sam Curran was worth 60 runs. If they had scored another 20 runs, then England could have won the match. Also, let's not forget the fact that Mark Wood was run out, after Sam Curran slipped and fell down in his attempt to return to strike.

They could have given an opportunity for Curran to bat higher up the order. Anyway, now the tour is finished and he will be concentrating on the IPL. Its not work like that and not easy at all when your batting line up is filled up with the quality gun batters. If anyone creating team roaster then i'm sure 100% they would put Buttler-Morgan above Sam Curran on the batting order in every single scenario. Only thing English team is concern about Ben Stokes batting order.

He's right, their first choice would be Gaikwad-Faf combination. Gaikwad was pretty good buy for them last year and he also scored fair amount of runs with the average of 50 plus. Guess they bought Moeen Ali recently at very high price so i think he would get first chance over anyone else.

Moeen Ali is a good spinner, but he's not performing with the bat for some time. And I really don't know how effective will be his off-spin in the IPL. The Indian batsmen are very comfortable against the off-spinners and the pitches are likely to be very flat. IMO, Tahir would be a better option as a spinner, but his batting skills are not very good. Also I hope they will include at least one among Hazlewood/Viljoen/Ngidi to strengthen their pace bowling attack.

As a bowler, I think Imran Tahir would have been a better choice than Moin Ali. But if you say that Imran Tahir is not very good at batting, it is true. I think Moin Ali will be included in the squad as an all-rounder. It's not that England is just bowling badly. They are batted very badly too. At the moment there is no option to take spinner all-round in the squad now. I think Moin Ali is a good choice. Ngidi can be kept in the team to increase the strength in the pace bowling lineup.

Gaikwod is pretty young and talented batsman, he also showed what he is capable in the last few matches so he is an long term investment for sure. And for the 4 overseas player I guess Faf,Curran, Bravo and Moeen Ali will be getting more chances because they already have Deepak chahar , Shardul Takur and Bravo combo even Sam curran can bowl so as far as I observed Dhoni will take more All rounders who are effective in Indian pitches but the drawback is this team is perfect for Chennai but now there is no home ground for any team.

If we go by evidence then one of the major reason CSK bought him at high price because of his explosive inning in the 2nd test against India where he was about to became the fastest batter to score 50 in the test format so i think his batting department is pretty much covered for at least 2-3 games.
