Zimbabwe performed well at their venue. Zimbabwe was the favorite to me throughout the tournament. But after losing their first match, I was a bit hesitant. But they performed well in the next two matches. Especially the last match of the series was really appreciable for them. Every player had a good partnership Wessly Madhevere collected 49, Craig Ervine 44, Gary Ballance 64 and Sean Williams 43 all are relatively big scores and they got an easy win.

The first two matches were really competitive and Netherlands was chasing those matches where they won the first match and they came close to victory in the second match and Zimbabwe somehow managed to win that match and the third match was one sided as Netherlands were not able to put a competitive score on board and Zimbabwe chased them without much struggle.

Zimbabwe proved themselves in last two ODIs they played really good and specially in last one their batsman performed exceptionally good.
In second ODI they won by just 1 run which is total luck for them but today they nailed it thoroughly.

Though this was a losing series, Netherlands could've learnt something from this series to avoid mistakes that put them to loss matches. Now its time for Netherlands to prepare for the upcoming two ODI matches against South Africa.

In today's match Netherlands could've reached atleast 280+ runs. Performance from Zimbabwe team is completely unexpected, they reached the 231 runs target in 41.4 overs. They're in a situation to chase 300 or 300+ runs based on the performance. Also they had 7 wickets in hand. Finally series won by Zimbabwe and Netherlands missed it and seems unlucky.

Netherlands were scoring freely till the 10th over and it looked like they will go on to score a huge total and then Zimbabwe started to put pressure on them and once they were able to pick the first wicket then Netherlands started to accumulate more dot balls and in the mean time loosing wickets as well and Zimbabwe was able to put that pressure throughout unlike the first two matches and then chased them easily.

Terrible performance by Sri Lanka, was expecting it to be a fair encounter and eventually loosing the match as the target is not that huge but they failed to score 100 runs.
Netherlands and Zimbabwe are playing and hopefully it will be another thriller and the winner takes the series, for the first time Netherlands are batting first and got to a great start.

Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh.... these are some of the dying teams in international cricket. With each passing year, the gap between them and the rest of the test playing nations get wider and wider. South Africa was also moving in that direction, but Brexit and the termination of Kolpak system which resulted from that made their lives easier. Today was a black day for Sri Lanka. They lost by close to 200 runs. Even associate nations such as Scotland and Namibia perform better than this when they face against New Zealand.

Criticism is fine but in recent times there are some achievements too as far as SL and Bangladesh are concerned.

In red-ball cricket, Sri Lanka drew the series against Pakistan, Australia and almost won the first test match against the Kiwis. They are also defending champions of the Asia cup.

Bangladesh whitewashed  England in ODI and in ODI won against India 2-1. They were about to win the 2nd test but Shreyas and Ashwin ruined their plan with the bat.

The massive defeat against New Zealand yesterday meant that Sri Lanka is now out of contention for finishing in the top-8. Even of they win their remaining two matches, they would need South Africa to lose against Netherlands. Ireland need to win all 3 of their matches against Bangladesh to qualify. It may not be impossible, but probability is low. So IMO, South Africa may qualify directly, and the following teams may need to play the qualifier tournament - West Indies, Sri Lanka and Ireland.

A clean win indeed! Zimbabwe has registered a clean win in the last and final ODI against Netherlands. Although the first two ODIs were very close, Zimbabwe managed a comfortable victory in the last ODIs. Sean Williams was the standout performer, delivering excellent performances with both bat and ball, ultimately leading his team to victory. Zimbabwe has won the three-match ODI series against Netherlands by a margin of 2-1.

Though this was a losing series, Netherlands could've learnt something from this series to avoid mistakes that put them to loss matches. Now its time for Netherlands to prepare for the upcoming two ODI matches against South Africa.

It was an intense and thrilling series indeed! But, Netherlands put up an impressive fight throughout the series. They should take this as a learning opportunity and come back stronger in their upcoming matches.

With such an equation in front of the target of 275 runs, Sri Lanka got out for just 75 runs. With this defeat, Sri Lanka set a precedent for the second time in a row under 100 runs in ODIs. Sri Lanka trailed by 1-0 in this defeat. Chasing the target of 275 runs, Sri Lanka lost wickets early on. Sri Lanka lost two openers in the team's 14 runs. After that, when Kushal Mendis was out for 20 runs, Sri Lanka suffered a batting disaster. From here, Sri Lanka could not stand still.

I don't think the pitch is conducive to batting. The bowlers were getting enough advantage on this pitch. So if the bowlers of New Zealand are able to bowl controlled then it will be easy for New Zealand to win this match. Moreover, the performance of Sri Lankan batsmen is not regular.

If the performance of Sri Lankan team was good so here is the New Zealand. As I said the New Zealand team is looking strong. Now Sri Lankan team is near to match loss. They made only 56 runs in 16 overs at the Run Rate of 3.5.
And surprisingly lost 7 wickets. So match is giving full favor to New Zealand team. And soon we will see that the New Zealand has won the match.

Finally Sri Lanka have ended the innings at 79 runs. Sri Lanka should've chosen to bat first after winning the toss, because they could play without pressure. While chasing target there'll be more pressure. Henry Shipley bowled well with the five wicket haul. This was close to his best bowling figure. His best in ODI 5/30 and today he had taken 5/31. New Zealand is strong in bowling as well as batting. Runs came from top order to the middle order players that made New Zealand team reach 274 runs.

The New Zealand team performed very well as per my expectations. But I did not expect to see such a batting disaster in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka's performance has deteriorated dramatically. The pitch helped the bowlers. However, if the Sri Lankan batsmen were able to bat responsibly, the match would have been very competitive. Henry Shipley bowled brilliantly. He bowled only 7 overs. Henry Shipley managed to take 5 wickets with 31 runs in 7 overs. Daryl Mitchell also picked up two wickets in just 3 overs. The Sri Lankan team could not bat even 20 overs. If the performance of the batsmen does not improve, the Sri Lankan team will lose every match of the series.

Netherlands batting needs to be more experienced.  Because it is never possible to win a match by such few runs in an ODI match. No matter how weak a team is in ODI matches if they are careful with wickets then they can definitely win. To win an ODI match, you must score 300 plus runs. Meanwhile, Netherlands ended the over with only 235 runs and was the last wicket in terms of wickets.  As this is the longest game of fifty overs, every player must be careful not to keep pressure on the wicket. The team won by just three wickets and Zimbabwe is very strong in terms of bowlers.

This is the terrible performance of the Sri Lanka Cricket teams. Only three batters were able to score double-figure runs. Sri Lankan Captain Dasun Shanaka scored a golden duck, while Kushal Medis scored zero runs. Henry Shipley from the New Zealand side took five wickets in seven overs only. Daryl Mitchell and Blair Tickner both took two wickets each. Overall an excellent performance from New Zealand bowlers.

Meanwhile, losing by such a margin that he will have to work hard to make up for it in the next match.  Kushal Mendes couldn't field players like them that day as New Zealanders attacked them with the fast bowlers.  Meanwhile, Sri Lanka showed a good performance in the field of bowling but could not show such a good performance in the field of batting. So if they want to win in the next match, they must give a strong reply.

But they had a good score in the first test match but they had to lose. After the first test match I haven't seen any good performance from them.
