The SP20 can be under-clocked to ~0.5 J/GH, depending on cooling ambient temperature and specific ASIC batch.

Cooling? Ambient temperature. any specifics? it has to be hot (>25C), cold (<18C) or in a specific range?

Cooling? Ambient temperature. any specifics? it has to be hot (>25C), cold (<18C) or in a specific range? Measurements were done with Emerson 1600. It offers (according to spec) minimal efficiency of 92% in our tested working points @25C ambient.

I plan on under clocking and am interested in reducing noise.

I think you could run 2 units on that psu well, it's like this.. once i'm done doing what i'm doing with it at home, it's going into a unit i have millions of miles from the earth where it will mine eternally on free electric.. so i'll be cranking it up to 11, and reckoned i'll need good headroom in the PSU... then again, you have me thinking, it may be worthwhile trying that PSU with 2 units... hmmm, indecision.

I don't run the coolest cold aisles in the world and I'm suprised at this last order of SP 20's hitting 1650 gh stable. Very content customer on this last round. The first batch I cannot get past 1545 GH. Watts fan everything at max. I even swapped placment with the new one to see if I have a bigger airflow problem then I already know is brewing up. But same results, just better Asics I suppose.

Even better you could just change the PHP file so that you don't have to keep manually editing the mg_custom_mode_sp20 file... Old code <select name="FAN" id="fan_speed_select"> <?php for($i = 40; $i < 101; $i += 10){ printf('<option value="%d" %s>%d</option>' } ?> </select>
New code <select name="FAN" id="fan_speed_select"> <?php for($i = 30; $i < 101; $i += 10){ printf('<option value="%d" %s>%d</option>' } ?> </select>
You can find this in /var/www/SP2x/settings.php around line 312 in Sp20 firmware version 2.5.27.. or you could probably just search the file for fan_speed_select.
