This GW is a disaster for me. Went down from 2nd place to 10th right now.

Heh - you can get "average" points for the past 2 game weeks and still fall places because people are playing with 3 15-pointers in their squad.

Particularly the defenders have a consistency problem. I went from within 10 points to top 2 GWs ago to 30 points last GW to 60 today. I haven't even played bad by FPL standards, I was just terribly unlucky with Newcastle.

You are right @Trofo, my bad for forgetting the 90min rule (which I really hate sometimes).. Just sucks that I was going to throw Saka in anyways as you can just get benched players if your starter don't play but it ended up like this on my bench:



So I'm fucked either way. Gvardiol did not play today and he's starting for me which means I'll only get the 1pt from Romero

Yesterday's disallowed LFC goal (that is clearly onside) cost me 11 points, I'll probably lose the freebet because of it.
Shame for Salah - when Haaland does nothing Salah has to perform for me - but yesterday's game was such a shitshow.

Same for me. The combo of Rashford and B. Fernandes costs me points every GW. Very disappointed so far - but as usual it will change as soon as I transferred em!

United is really bad this season but we all know if United starts to play that will mean plenty of points for both Rashford & Fernandes and that is the reason they are so expansive. I had the same feeling that they will start scoring as soon as I ditch them but it did not happen this week. I removed them for Son and Diaby and so far so good. Long term, who knows. Don't like that Diaby went out limping in that last game. In the same game Gordon got fifth yellow so I could be a bit short on qoulity options next week.

This season for the first time the most transferred player hasn't disappointed managers. Trippier managed to collect 12 points this week as well. I'm happy for transferring him in the right time. Even though I'm lucky about the Trippier topic I'm not doing well at all as for the other topics. I used my Wild Card a week ago, and it's my biggest regret because I feel like I need at least 5 transfers right now, and for the fact that I would have had a better point from my prior squad compared to after using my wildcard made it rather more painful, but the game is the game, you really never just can tell, it's a make hays while the sun shines situation, Mbeumo time on most team is coming to an end as we gradually approach the return of Ivan Toney.

Welcome to the Club! I might take the hit and take the -8 points for my transfers aswell. I took my wildcard a few weeks ago because I wanted to make some changes.
Atleast I saved two transfers from the last weeks but I think I need 2-3 more.

The Rashford-Bruno combination is the worst to have at this point because they are not only pricey but also useless; I just got go of Rashford for Son a few minutes ago.And that's something I could have done long ago. I won't be returning to any Manutd midfield anytime soon.

I agree with you on that, I don’t have Bruno but I sure do have Rashford and he has proven to be one of my worst choice in this season of the FPL. I would surely see him out either in the next game or perhaps have my WC revamp my team and off Rashford along with a few others.
The love on Son seems like a good one. His been up and about filling in for the absences of Kane and has so far been great at his job. You could find Spurs putting up good performances and Son seems to have his eyes on goal as it is.

I decided to use my wildcard this week. However my budget is in hot water quite much because of making so many mistakes. For example after selling Maddison for 7.7 I had to buy him back for 7.9. I assume that I haven't still been able to learn the game enough.

I think that I need to get rid of Mbeumo from now on. However I'm really having difficulties in finding a player who I can transfer for his place.

I was thinking of using mine because I have to replace some of my players but I ended up just using the free transfers to downgrade my squad.

The game is a marathon, slow and steady but don't be too far from the top.

Alexander - Arnold costs $7.9 million, which is a reasonable price for a capable offensive option. Instead of spending on someone whose side cannot keep a clean sheet, and whose form this season has been inconsistent.

You are absolutely right about it. I did what I shouldn't have done. I wanted to get rid of Sterling, Chilwell and Mbeumo. And I wanted to transfer Salah.There is nothing I can do as I can't get my move back from now on. After completing August as the leader it is really a big disappointment to drop back to 11th place.

Wouldn't be a problem if Gordon didn't get his 5th yellow this week as well. I counted on that and was prepared to take him anyways but would be much better for me if it did not happen at the same week.

Anyway, nothing one transfer can't take care off, problem is, I want both Botman and Gordon in my team and don't really want to upgrade Kabore.

I'm not very sad for using wildcard. However first selling Maddison and later buying him more expensively created a big problem for me.

I have finally decided to sell Sterling. I made the unfortunate decision to get him on my team after a fine performance against Luton town in gw 3 and some inspiration from @igebotz. Consistently churned out a max of 2 points per game week after that and today, he didn't make the starting line up only to come in as a sub and get a yellow card 3 minutes after.

To think I was expecting Mbeumo and Sterling to credit some points to my team after a terrible weekend.

I mean, you're potentially going to take a hit for the next GW just a week after hitting your WC, and the fact that we both have a similar midfield and attack is the another reason I won't activate mine because there is no better option than what I have currently + I still have 2FT (using one to get Sterling out).

Take sterling out! Our attack looks better without him anyways. I'm considering getting Palmer at a cheaper price ( earned his starting position)

There isn't right or wrong time to use wildcard. I planned it for somewhere between GW8 and GW10 and then decided to pull the trigger in 7, to save some money and get rid of United mids.

I just made sure to cover Liverpool, Villa and West ham a bit earlier then their actual fixture swings happened.

Rule of thumb, wildcard is worth about 16 negative points, if you can sort your team with -8 don't use it. If you use it make sure to catch all early price rises and falls.

I tried, but looking at their fixtures list, Rashford simply has to do something soon. In their next 6 games they have City and 5 bottom of the league clubs.
I hate myself for even selecting him, but he already dropped 0.2 points in price. Hopefully he does something, rises a bit and then I sell him after the Everton game.

I had Botman in my team, intentionally, because I was not sure if he is going to play, but now there is no change for him from my bench (where I have two midfielders, and defender that is also suspended)

and with a mid from the bench, it will be 3-4-3 formation, since I had 4-3-3

Game week is still going on! Substitutions will take place after tonight's game between Luton Town and Burnley. The substitution rules are convoluted, but I've never had a case where a midfielder came in for a defender and the formation changed..
