Nigeria is really a collection of big names but no team work. Even though the in the game of football, anything is possible, I think it will be funny for anyone to have high hopes in Nigeria winning the host tomorrow. This is just a simple matter of being realistic.

It’s popular opinion that the Super Eagles manager, José Peseiro is unable to make the best of this team. Ivory Coast is not a star studded team, they no longer have big names like Didier Drogba, Yaya Touré and Kolo Touré. Still it is not going to be easy for the super Eagles. My mind is telling me Nigeria will lose but my heart is telling me we will win.

Now, in a situation like this, should we believe your mind or your heart? 
I watched the Zambia verses Congo Dr game yesterday, and though the game ended in a 1:1 draw, Congo Dr played a very good game even though Zambia had the most ball possession, Congo Dr were always in the goal post of zambia and did miss a couple of opportunities they would have converted to a goal.

After watching that match yesterday, I hope for Nigeria winning their game against ivory coast today was raised high, though I am not betting a dime on this game, but I am crossing my fingers for the super eagles and hoping they make us proud this time.

Good around the penalty box shouldn't have just scored a single goal, they should ha e doubled that goal up, that's what we mean by good at goal. Anyways props to em as they gotta point out if the game.
Y'all still have hopes about Nigeria? Funny how the  Nigerian Football Federation goes about dictating what the coach should do and not do in this game. Don't forget too many cooks spoil the soup.

We just have few food players who play as a team in that squad,the rest are complete gamblers. What's a player like Iwobi doing on the pitch for 90minutes if not straight up bribe to the NFF. I can't see them games unless they improve.

1. Somehow, I am happy that I didn't bet on this game. I would have lost. I underrated Mauritania. They played very fine football beyond my expectation. I am vex with the defender who was the caused of the penalty. And that is how that mistake caused them to concede a goal. I intend to bring up a conversation with this statement. The find the use of VAR in the matched to be too much. Is there anyone who have noticed this?

2. Again if I had bet on the second game, my predictions would have been absolutely wrong. Congratulations to Namibia a very much underrated team in this tournament. Tunisia would have been so pained. The goal keeper and the entire team gave them a run for their money.

3. The South-African match would also been a wrong prediction. I am amazed and wowed by these results. South-Africa has a good team but lacked team work. They have the potentials to progress and if they are not in the semi-finals it would be a big blow to them. 

In conclusion, corruption and godfatherism is eliminated from most African country football teams we would have teams that would be as good as team in countries in Europe, the Americas and other continents.

Well it’s no longer news the AFCON has kicked off and the best and safest bet for AFCON is under 3.5 goals. Mauritania are a good side and could match Burkina Faso who were a good side some years back but can’t say for now. So the result from that game which was a result of penalty is quite fair and alright. Namibia have their win and we must congratulate them for this whilst they move onto the next.

 A mind blowing result was that of South Africa, I think the team is pretty good but they don’t work as a team rather they show individual talents and this is a setback to the team. Well in General, I’ll say African Football is quite improving but there’s still much work to be done especially to the leaders because corruption is still the main problem and if that’s eradicated then I think African Teams will be sure better teams.

The super eagles squad is just a shadow of ridicule. I have lost total confidence in them. I do not know if I am to blame the players or the coach or the NFF, but it seems that all of them are contributing to the poor performance of the country. The players are not patrotic enough, just like Sadiq who dropped because of injury has been named in the Real Sociedad squad. The coach is not very confident of his decisions and the masses are seeing him as inexperienced. While NFF is known for her chronic corruption.

I wonder how Nigeria will face the host today and survive when the Ivorians are already seated comfortably with 3 points.

You don't need to watch that match before knowing that Nigeria play poorly after seeing the result. I'm very sure you're shocked when you see the result or probably heard of it and you imagined how comes super eagle draw against Guinea Equatorial. I don't know the last time you watched super eagle playing but I will tell you to less your expectations and ready to accept any outcome. I'm a Nigerian and I'm proud of it but to be honest, I don't have confidence in super eagle again as I always had before.

Regarding our today's match with Ivory coast, the final whistle will decide but I don't expect something different because historically even when super eagles are still themselves playing for the nation with dedication, Ivory Coast has been the dominant side in a major games. Things are subject to change of course but I don't see super eagle ready to make it happen. Losing or drawing this game will make things worse and our chance to advance to round of 16 will be threaten.

The Nigerian team was the better side but they were just wasteful. They had many clear opportunities to score but they failed to take advantage of them. Victor Osimhen lost two clear chances and I also saw some signs of selfishness among the players. However, I expect the team to do better against the host. This is because the players have begun to blend and hopefully they will get at least a draw from this game because the Ivorian team is not a cheap side to subdue. A draw will give them two points and a win in their last game will make them qualify for the next round.

The Super Eagles will be pleased that Victor will be featuring in the game. But the report that Alhassan Yusuf, a player who had a spectacular game against  Equatorial Guinea will miss the game against Ivory Coast is a piece of bad news to the team. It will be a big blow for Nigeria not to qualify for the second round with all the stars that the team can boast of. They will receive enough backlash from the fans and it will do a lot of harm to their global rating.

Ivory Coast have been on fire lately all international matches. They have maintained good record of no loss in their last six matches and drawing strong teams like Mali and Morocco, two teams that won their last AFCON matches. However, this is football, the Ivorians are afraid of the Nigerian teams as much as Nigerians are afraid of them. Nigeria has quality players that can match them player to player, just the teamwork is what is missing. Tonight will really show how prepared Nigeria is for this tournament.

Your statement can't be argue at all, this group is tough to me since am involved, I am a Nigerian which I want us to escape the group stage, during our match with Equitoria Guinea I thought Super Eagle are playing mess but right now am convinced that they really try their best in that game, Equitoria Guinea have just secured three points against Guinea-Bissau which the match is still on, but I am much confidence that Guinea-Bissau can't make it out again because even the goal that Guinea-Bissau scored was own goal by Orozco at 37 minutes. Equitoria Guinea take the lead in the table with four points, let see if the Equitoria Guinea will maintain the top, the out come of the Ivory Coast v Nigeria will determine that.

Super Eagle are at high risk because Ivory Coast had already won the first match which I believe in their consistent but since they had the first match against Guinea-Bissau and I think Guinea-Bissau are the weak team in this group because they have lost two consecutive games which make them become last in the table.

The performance of super eagles became very poor because they couldn't make proper use of them chances to score goals, like how can they  waste three beautiful chances which should have been converted to goals and you say their performance was not bad? I beg to disagree with you the super eagles had a very poor performance, their ball control was poor, communication was full or error and I expected the coach to have made the right selection before the game but seeing Iwobi losing balls in the mid field shows how poor the selection was made because by now the Nigerian team should have a better replacement for Iwobi.

The game against the host nation today is going to be against the super eagles because the host nation would want to be the first team to qualify since they will have 6 points from this group and I doubt if the super eagles can grab a point in this game because their first match against Equitoria Guinea I didn't see a team ready to be in the next round of this competition. Equitoria Guinea is leading 4:1 already in their game so Nigerian team is going to be in big trouble if they fail to get a win in this game today.

That’s just from your point of view. Nigeria played poorly in the match, they had lots of opportunities but wasted them. Equitoria Guinea is not a team that’s supposed to give Nigeria a difficult moment in the match, they didn’t play anything special in the match, but I was just surprised that the only goal that Nigeria could score in the match was just a goal. Let’s be honest, Nigerian players should just be ashamed of themselves. I don’t really know the cause of their poor performance in the match.

Nigeria will be playing against Ivory Coast today. I don’t know if Nigeria will be able to beat Ivory Coast because I wasn’t satisfied with their performance in their last match, but I am sure they will do everything possible to win the match. The first half of the game between Ivory Coast and Nigeria is over and I can categorically say that I'm more impressed with the performance of the Nigeria Super Eagles in this game than how they played in their first game of the tournament against Equatorial Guinea. The host nation are also playing well and is currently better in terms of possession but I'm optimistic that the Super Eagles are gonna win this particular game.
