1. Somehow, I am happy that I didn't bet on this game. I would have lost. I underrated Mauritania. They played very fine football beyond my expectation. I am vex with the defender who was the caused of the penalty. And that is how that mistake caused them to concede a goal. I intend to bring up a conversation with this statement. The find the use of VAR in the matched to be too much. Is there anyone who have noticed this?

2. Again if I had bet on the second game, my predictions would have been absolutely wrong. Congratulations to Namibia a very much underrated team in this tournament. Tunisia would have been so pained. The goal keeper and the entire team gave them a run for their money.

3. The South-African match would also been a wrong prediction. I am amazed and wowed by these results. South-Africa has a good team but lacked team work. They have the potentials to progress and if they are not in the semi-finals it would be a big blow to them. 

In conclusion, corruption and godfatherism is eliminated from most African country football teams we would have teams that would be as good as team in countries in Europe, the Americas and other continents.

Another proof that this tournament is loaded with surprises. I raised this concern the other day that the way the competition was going is pointing to the fact that an unexpected team will lift the trophy. It is becoming clearer with this match. Namibia humiliating powerful Tunisia is just too much to take in one day.

I'd still maintain that since this is the opening match for each of them, we'd be seeing such performance. It's as if they are using this starting game to reacquaint themselves with football hence their lackadaisical approach else I felt that this is a game Tunisia of before should have comfortably won.

Indeed it was a fantastic match with lots of captivating display from both sides. Lloyd Junior Kazapua, the Namibia keeper is definitely the man of the match, he saved the day else Tunisia would have cruised to victory tonight. The 89th minutes header from Hotto was beyond saving and well deserving of a winning goal. Namibia really surprised me when I expected them to be terrified by the mere thought of facing a strong side like Tunisia.

From what I noticed in this competition that major and favourite African teams are getting upsetting results in the first matchday apart from the hosting country Ivory Coast in addition to Mali, Senegal and Burkina Faso.
Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, Cameroon, Algeria and Tunisia whether got a draw or an unexpected defeat against what supposed to be weaker results.
Morocco didn't find yet a good rhythm nor a way to to score against Tanzania.. This is supposed to be one of the best countries in this competition.

The South African national team were just in a hurry to prove a point, They could not settle down and play well but were just running around the pitch in my opinion, every one of them in a hurry to take a shot. Percy sent a penalty opportunity to the sky, and from there on, the Malians played tactically, not trying to match the speed of the South Africans because they knew that they do not have that speed, and the ability to maintain it. If Percy had scored that penalty, the the game would have proceeded differently.

I didn't watch the whole match but just checked the highlights and yeah both teams played well and were impressive, Namibia is lucky enough to have a responsive goalkeeper because he managed to secure some dangerous shots. Tunisia is also in the same situation the save from the goalkeeper really helped them it's just that in this match Namibia was lucky to score a goal in the 88th minute there was no way to anticipate such a header.

This is the first match and Tunisia still has many chances, in the next match Tunisia will face Mali clearly this will be a challenge for Tunisia because Mali is not a weak team and Mali have not lost in the last 8 matches in all competitions/friendly match, a draw can help Tunisia to be in a safer position at least they should be able to collect one point then get 3 points from another match yeah at least 2nd place can be secured.

Forget about topping the group now and let be hopeful we qualify from the group stage. Super eagle performance in the last match has nothing to write home about and it's embarrassing to the country known as the giant of Africa. The record will be too bad from not qualified to participate in the last world cup to being eliminated in the group stage of AFCON, a group that involves Guinea Bissau, Cote Divour and Equatorial Guinea.

The super Eagle team are lucky to find their selves in a group where the teams aren't that tough except for Ivory Coast, and Nigeria team itself, unlike bellow groups where they have stronger teams, group E Tunisia and Mali group, Group C Senegal and Cameroon, and that of group B Egypt and Ghana, so their chances of qualifying from the group stage game is on the high side, and badly for them, they will come out second as Ivory already topping the group with 3 points and most likely will win their second round game against Nigeria come 18th of January, judging from the current performance of both teams and head to head meetings.

The Super Eagle finds themselves in a group less tough and they find it hard to win against Equatorial Guinea, playing a draw with them. We don't know if they will win, draw, or lose their match against Ivory Coast (host of the AFCON) when they play against them tomorrow. It's better for them to win than to have another draw, as it would be a poor outcome.

This tournament is getting more interesting, it is not business as usual for these Nations you have mentioned that have experienced a difficult start to the campaign. The score is now 1-0 and the match is on 75 minutes But the Tanzania team had to play 10 players because one of their players got a second yellow card in the 70th minute.

I think football is no longer a thing of mouth just like as we fondly talk about it and we need to understand that African cup of nation football isn't an easy competition like club side football. Most of the players in the Nigerian team are all foreign based players playing in different countries and clubs so them coming together to play for their country will be a bit difficult since they don't Play together as a team. Everyone expected Nigeria to win against Equatorial Guinea because of the number of stars in the Nigerian team but the result didn't come as predicted even though Nigerian team had more winning chances which they failed to utilize to take all three points. The draw is not totally bad score but they need to win against the host country Ivory Coast which is going to be possible if they play well and if they win they will have 4 points and possibly increase their chances of qualification feom the group stage. A draw against Ivory Coast  give them 2 points and will see Ivory Coast topping the group then Nigeria will hope that Equatorial Guinea don't get a win in their next game.

It's not something surprising if Morocco win, both teams are at a different level like the sky and water I even confidently bet on Morocco won since the first half and second half and work according to predictions, easy money right. What a funny goal from Zambia, a goal that leaves one confused on who to blame. The DRC goalkeeper rushed to clear the ball that would have resulted in Zambia pressuring the defense. Morocco have good players that is why there were able to defeat Tanzania but I thought from the initial that tanzanians football team can be able to at least equalize, I believe that what causes their defeat today is because of their player and their coach they are not organized assuming that they are organized they would have score at least one go for the beginning of the match but you all the locks up and they defeated them 3:0 I think that Morocco have the highest goal right now because no team I've seen so far that score at least three goals I am not following the match properly cross check le the people that have highest goal scorer for now

I watched the Zambia verses Congo Dr game yesterday, and though the game ended in a 1:1 draw, Congo Dr played a very good game even though Zambia had the most ball possession, Congo Dr were always in the goal post of zambia and did miss a couple of opportunities they would have converted to a goal.

After watching that match yesterday, I hope for Nigeria winning their game against ivory coast today was raised high, though I am not betting a dime on this game, but I am crossing my fingers for the super eagles and hoping they make us proud this time.

The Nigerian teams we have had in recent years reminds me of the PSG team that featured Messi, Mbappe and Neymar. At first, we thought it'd be an instant hit. An attack that would give defenses plenty of painful memories but our expectations were cut short. It's the same with this Nigerian team. We have some of the best players in the tournament this season but have (so far) struggled to play entertaining football like I have seen teams like Morocco and Senegal display.

In hindsight, it's one thing to have a star-packed team. It's another thing to get all the stars to work together as a team and promote team spirit because football is a team sport.

Btw, I still have my fingers crossed for Nigeria to win the host. Might as well take a bet at BcGame since the odds for Nigeria to win is around 4+.
