Doubt it, if that was the plan then this person would have taken the other few BTC also to get it under 100. No it was done in two big 1.5 Mio sales one yesterday and one now.
pretty fishy...
What complicates things is the big solominer that auto sells a couple 100000 NLG a day...

Last week continuous sells at lower bid-price, instead of setting an ask price. There is someone or more persons who want the coin down or so. Huh

Will not work. Grin

Is it a solominer, how do you know? And why sell, if it can be worth much more? Should be very stupid to do that. I think there is/are some who don't want NLG to succeed. Or it is a whale who wants to buy up cheap.

Does anyone know if NLG has been added to one of those scummy POS coin multipools which just use POW coins to dump out?

You can derive this from the orders. They are always 1000 or multiple of 1000 and sometime the transactions fee of .1 NLG added. Second thing is the pools together did not have 350 Mhs the last days.

But the solominers are included in the total hashrate, isn't it? If so, the solominer can't get that much a day or he must have 100 Mh/s+ of the network or so.

Lets put things into perspective.

There is currently over 80 Billion DogeCoins and trading price is currently 84 on Mintpal, was around a 100 a week ago.

There is 52 million NLG and price is 50% more then Doges.

So if NLG delivers you can see the upside potential this coin can have!

576 000 coins get produced daily regardless of the MH/s, so the question is whether there will be enough buyers to support that many coins being produced daily and I am sure half the miners are also holding to use or wait for better prices.

At a price of 100, only .576 btc a day is needed if everyone dumps out like someone else mentioned before. The current price is stupidly low considering what this coin has going for it already.

Yep, the solo guy is not the dumping guy. It's not logical to autosell 1000 - 5000 NLG every 10 - 20 mins and keep 1.6 Mio to dump the other day. No the one who dumps this amounts is even making no profit, no way he bought al this below 130 and if he mined it he was better of selling it in portions of 100.000. No, this is a guy who desprately needs money or wants the price down even if it costs a BTC or so.

I agree, could be someone or group that is seeing the coin as a threat or pissed off, alternatively they needed the funds back for something that occurred in real life.

The coin has been range bound for a month at this level, something had to give and it ended up being the sellers being impatient. The buyers are standing on the sidelines, remember that 1 btc sell wall that got eaten up a week ago at about 153-154, the buyers waited until it was low enough before taking it out.

There is a lot of btc and NLG that is waiting and ready to snipe out good deals.

looks like tech part is dead with this coin

no tech support or update that make it special

we need something that make it different from other coins from tech. side

where are devs

we need a unique and totally different coin
not just simple POW coin
you got enough time for development but nothing special come out

I disagree.  What makes a coin special is when it has a real world purpose.  You can be the most basic coin if you have lots of businesses accepting it.  Think about cash... it can't do anything special and can't even be transmitted across the internet.  Yet, 100% of people have used it.

I would far rather see time spent on having the coin accepted at more and more locations.  That will make it viable far sooner than whatever flavor of the day seems sexy in the crypto world.

People need to stop saying things like "change this coin to this" or "implement that instead".  It's getting old.  Almost every new coin has been bombarded with this gibberish.  Let the coin be the way it was designed to be.  If there is some catastrophic anomaly, deal with it.  If not... let the coin mine the way it's mining.  You don't change horses midstream.

NLG is on a solid path.  It's holding a pretty steady value.  Sure it took a small hit in price because someone sold a ton.  That happens.  You wouldn't want to see what would happen if my team sold all of what we have mined.  Not saying that we're going to crash the market, as we are much smarter than to just dump bitcoins worth of NLG in one shot, but some people have that kind of coin.

Let NLG do it's thing.  The devs have a good head on their shoulders, and have done more in a month than I've seen most altcoins do in their current lifetime.  There's no need for algorithm changes, reward changes, proof changes, or underwear changes.  At this time the coin is working perfectly, IMO.

Kudos again to the dev team.  If there's anything that the CripToe team can help with, let me know.

Last thing is true. But I remember someone who used to be a big supporter of 'the other Dutch coin' who was mining at some 450 Mh and collecting some 1.3 million a day. Holding a few million NLG and maybe a grudge, I don't know, all is possible..

I actually PM'd the person you talking about and from his response he is in the business of making money so I doubt he would sell for a 30% loss most likely unless like you say he wanted to offload his NLG that he mined to get into another coin. The other dutch coin is dead so imo and it was shown that the premine was being used to sell on bittrex.

Anyways the current price is a steal, I am just waiting to see if the Dev team delivers on the updates they talked about earlier before I buy more. I have been burnt on other alts with good starts and fizzle out, but like ny2cafuse says this coin has had so much done for it already in such a short space of time.

@supercrypt , POS multipool coins are just the latest gimmick... the only advantage is that exchanges love them because of the volume and speculation it generates. X11 is already not a viable option and n-scrypt is really taxing on your gfx cards, if you look at the profitability now between scrypt , n-scrypt and X11 the difference is negligible in terms of mining profit.

Virtual Currencies have matured to a stage where miners have to be investors themselves because you can't mine for current profit, you have to mine for future profit on a coin you think will make it.

BTW, people in around 3 months from now will see the big disadvantage of POS coins. 90% end up in a few hands and all they good for is trading.

I have a feeling we about to experience our first PnD phase for the coin.
