Just hypothetically, do you mind if I buy 20-30 million ORA in the AE exchange ?

Do what you want.  Initial distribution fair, rest is up to market.  The dumpers seem to have stopped at the current price, so YMMV.

20-30 million might be tough, currently 49 asks in total of 4'824'160 ORA for 598'036.26 NXT
(source: http://nxtreporting.com/?as=16194910134118257692)

Well Mac Red could sell me in bulk. I saw him having 50 million sitting there.

I agree with Jack Needles, initial distribution was fair, and so will the remaining distribution!

Lots of FREE small stakes initially from an open transparent process, with the rest held in trust to reward people WHO DO THINGS!

Mac Red WORKED for his stake, from designing, building, and managing a highly efficient & effective registration process. That's fair!

I'm very glad someone like Mac Red has a big stake! He worked for it, and he's also earnt community respect for his conduct also! Anyone who follows  Mac's example can (potentially) EARN a big stake too, if they get the respect of the ORA community for what they do, and how they do it!

Someone is touchy. I am just saying he could sell me in bulk if he wants. I am going to offer the market price for 25 million which Mac Reed of course cannot unload anywhere else.

Oh sorry!! I didn't mean to sound 'touchy', but I can see how you might have got that impression. Sorry Smiley

I was really trying to seize an opportunity to have a 'dialogue' on my distribution scheme, rather than another monologue. I saw you mentioning Mac's 50 Million stake and seized the moment to make a 'stump speech' on the ORA distribution I devised. I'm honestly not 'touchy', maybe just 'reverse trolling' you as a previous critic into helping me get my message across.  lol Monologues are less memorable than dialogues, and my roll is to win the hearts & minds of crypto people to get them involved with ORA! I'm the salesman lol

A successful coin distribution needs a mix of stakeholders - lots of little guys, a good number of middle sized guys, and a few big whales. If you have an IPO the whales are the guys with the deep pockets, but there's no guarantee that they'll  have the desire to pitch in and help bootstrap the community or the tech /network/marketing etc.

My plan with ORA is to encourage 'merit whales', and that's the point of having 'power bounties', and that's why Mac & nio get 5% each, which is a pretty BIG stake. How much their stake is worth in the future will depend heavily on themselves. It's 100% performance based pay for their respective dev efforts.

I've made ~275 posts on (K)ORA now, and to date only one person has questioned publicly the size of Mac & nio's 5% stakes (a few have privately), and as it's an integral part of the original 'plan', I couldn't resist seizing your reference to Mac's 50 Million ORA to press the point.

ORA distribution is heavily based on merit & effort, and if you contribute and earn community respect for what you do you can become an ORA whale, and maybe you'll make lots of money!

The key point I'm making is a merit based whale like Mac Red can be more beneficial for ORA, than a similar sized NXT whale who might have been some random guy who sent in 1 bitcoin to the NXT IPO. Same goes for Qora too.

ORA needs engaged people, and with 250,000,000 ORA available for 'power bounties', the community can afford to pay a lot of people! In comparison, NXT has under 10 million NXT community funds, and while 10M NXT is a lot more in fiat than 250M ORA, from the perspective of performance based compensation, 1NXT=1ORA for someone in long term HODL mode. None of us know how much ORA & NXT will be worth in 5 years.

Lets work on the options for the next round of stake distribution. How about posting here the previous poll to start this.

@Kora,

Lets work on the options for the next round of stake distribution. How about posting here the previous poll to start this.

Great Idea!

Here is the previous poll thread if anyone is interested to get some background information:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=673587.msg7629545#msg7629545

The Poll results were as follows:

What should we do with any left over stakes if we don't reach ~3000 stakeholders

Distribute to existing stakeholders   - 120 (72.7%)
Use to pay for bounties & developers   - 26 (15.8%)
Keep in trust for later distribution   - 19 (11.5%)

Total Voters: 165

The main feedback I got from the original Poll was we need to offer 'voters'  combination options (e.g. 50% to existing stakeholders, 50% for a round 2 distribution etc)

Some NXT'ers have been busy adding NXT assets to the rating site https://coinist.co
https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/nxt-asset-ratings-on-coinist-first-look/

Here are the nxt assets, https://coinist.co/nxt/nxt-assets (ORA is ranked '8' by no. of trades, so we're on the first page)

And here is ORA, https://coinist.co/nxt/nxt-assets/ORA-nxt7fpb3k2sm9flarp4g

The listing is quite useful, this is the current state of affairs with ORA on the NXT AE!

Market Cap               $55,934 *estimate only
Asset Price                0.006 NXT
Asset Supply             1,000,000,000 ORA
Asset ID                   16194910134118257692
Nxt Account              NXT-7FPB-3K2S-M9FL-ARP4G
Last Trade Date         2014-08-04 17:13:47
# of Trades               466

I think in the future many potential ORA investors will discover us from listings on rating sites like coinist.co, and eventually people will be able to buy ORA assets directly from sites like https://trade.secureae.com/#16194910134118257692 without having to use the NXT software, and as far as I know on secureae.com they'll be able to buy NXT assets with fiat!

When I look at our listings on those two sites I'm glad that I took a little time to work on the asset description, as that's the first impression many future investors will get, and most future ORA holders will probably never visit this forum ever. Thanks again to Darkhorse (and others) for helping with very useful feedback on the asset description.

A pretty good first week for our ORA asset Smiley

This is the information must be on the website our guys are working on. Perhaps this should be on the top of website with information on how to buy the asset via secureae.com and via nxt. Perhaps with a screenshot on step by step on how to do this. This will be a great information imo. I would suggest to incorporate this with fragout's wiki web that also should incorporate the timeline update of current development. What do you think?
