awaiting for wolf's binaries, i copied his recent work (from xmr miner) into my repo https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner (branch: substantial_performance_increase)
Code:
git clone https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner your_local_folder
cd your_local_folder
git branch substantial_performance_increase
make

hashing at ~1080h/s (vs ~800 before).  feel free to use it, windows64 build available at https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner/releases

Thanks Arux. My little Pitcairn HD7850 went from 420 to 630h/s.
Unfortunately, it still cuts 100h/s out of 850h/s from my 8core FX processor because of high CPU usage.
Its a great improvement anyway.

I saw some discussion about reducing the CPU usage of the miner, so hopefully that will happen.

Nice stats. I may need to start mining some Aeon soon.

Having issues with this last binary Arux put out for Wolfs updated AMD miner. I was already using the previous binary Arux put out with increased performance but with the new one it keeps crashing my display driver. Im updating the catalyst driver now. Hopefully this is the issue.

I have decided to help both you and Boolberry because your communities have been supportive of Monero and have helped to advance CryptoNote innovation. If Shapeshift decides to add more CryptoNote coins I believe AEON and BBR should be next

https://twitter.com/XMRpromotions/status/689328498893144064

I will also send Shapeshift a follow up email

Don't buy Monero: https://twitter.com/MoneroPromotion/status/746006420508729344

I was assuming that you and 'aeoncurrency' were the same person.

Confirm?

Tell him to pull again, CPU usage issue should be fixed.
And of course, the first thanks goes to you, legendary Wolf0   Smiley

Have dependencies on the miner changed since the last iteration? I cloned from Arux's substantial_performance_increase branch, copied relevant include and lib directories for the SDK stuff, as I've done before, but when trying make I get this:

Code:
main.c:1104:25: error: ‘QueueMutex’ undeclared (first use in this function)
     pthread_mutex_lock(&QueueMutex);

Any help appreciated.

Sorry , i make a mistake on one of the last six commit. I'm afk until this evening (perhaps tomorrow).
The last commit tested successfully is the c456fa3828.
Use it until i found the error:
Code:
git checkout c456fa3828
must rollback at non buggy code.

May i suggest that in the future instead of posting all the revision directly to github you do some kind of regression tests so such errors can't pop up to who always update to the last commit but happens in a test enviroment? Is just a tip not some kind of offense anyway

you're right. i should have tested but I was interrupted then time was lacking...
next time, i'll push into a distinct branch if untested.

be aware of: my repo is only a unofficial temporary (and dirty) solution in waiting of official wolf's update. (if any)

Thanks Arux. Still no go here though. I'm now getting this:

Code:
main.c: In function ‘SetupXMRTest’:
main.c:502:8: error: unknown type name ‘cl_queue_properties’
