How do I unlock my funds with the simple wallet? I was testing it by sending funds and at the beginning my balance was fully unlocked however after 1 tx sent the wallet locked around 90% of the funds. Thanks

Just have to wait a little bit, maybe twenty minutes I think, a few blocks maybe.

Correct. What is going on is change being sent back to the original sender. Just like any transaction it has to confirm to be fully received.

Awesome, thanks
it has been 3 days and nothing my funds still blocked, any idea what can I do? thanks

edit: nvm after sync it got unlocked

Trading AEON on Bittrex is currently down for maintenance. I have a few stuck there and have put in a ticket since it has been hours.

Cryptopia AEON trading seems okay...but limited in supply/demand.

UPDATE: Bittrex has responded to my ticket. Said they are moving AEON to a new server. Hope it's a big one!

@smooth what is your opinion about Bitcoin-NG protocol. There's no reason for this to be incompatible with Monero-CN right?

@smooth what is your opinion about Bitcoin-NG protocol. There's no reason for this to be incompatible with Monero-CN right?

My recollection of it from when I looked last year was that it would work with CN, but I think it requires miners to identify themselves, which is kind of controversial even for Bitcoin and would probably be even more so on a privacy-oriented coin.

I think there are at least two better ways to do something similar.

Are you referring to the public key that the Key Block has to publish in order to sign his microblocks?

I think there are at least two better ways to do something similar.

Cool. Are you planning to  (eventually) add something like this to Aeon?

Note: Bittrex still having issues with AEON. No deposits/withdrawals, just internal trading.

Cryptopia isn't as troubled. Trades go smoothly and deposits/withdrawals are reasonably quick.

AEON Bittrex trades appear to be fully functional again -- after several days.

Their prices are higher than Cryptopia's, but demand is better.

I obtained and transferred some AEON to my simplewallet about 12 hours ago, from Cryptopia, to check speed. It took a few minutes, but all went well.

Hello everyone, I am new to AEON and I recently mined it with ccminer and connected it with two different wallets (one from aeongui-0.2.3 and simplewallet I created) and I want to know why neither of the two show any aeon coins in the wallets. Is there something wrong with my wallets, I mined from http://52.8.47.33:8080/# and it shows that they paid me but there's nothing on either of my wallets and its been two days already. What is wrong or does it take a long time to receive them?

AEON, and other cryptonote coins, use separate binaries for daemon and wallet.

You will have to sync your daemon first (aeond) and then you run simplewallet and let it refresh.

abandoned ?

No. Working fine, so no bug fixes required since the last one. If more fixes are required, they will be provided.

Future development plans are under consideration. As I stated (maybe it was the Speculation thread?), I will make an announcement in approximately two weeks.

Does it requires lots of RAM like Monero in the beginning? If yes I would consider it a bug.

It's not nearly as bad because of the 4 minute block time compared to 1 min for most of monero's life, and much lighter usage meaning much less txs so smaller blocks. It will need db implementation someday, but today is not that day (maybe 2 GB RAM usage or so atm).

Is that with the bcmreduce build?

I think bcmreduce produced several builds. To minimize memory usage (as much as possible at the moment at least), you want the pruning branch.

The community should not sit idle and wait for more developments. Websites can be built and exchanges and small merchants can be asked to accept Aeon

Trimming allows syncing without transferring the old (pruned) signatures. The current pruned node still transfers them but then throws them away instead of storing them. This would also allow syncing from one pruned node to another. Currently only full unpruned/archive nodes can sync to another node.
