In a year I expect that we will be well into running the new rebased version with the Monero development progress from the past two years (LMDB, GUI, etc.) along with our own enhancements (lightweight crypto, offchain secure private messages, etc.). Hopefully the AEON community will have grown and begun to offer some signature services that are unique to AEON.
These things of course don't happen overnight, but is there any news at all to report? Great job you've done here too

did anybody manage to withdraw leftover aeon coins from poloniex? the transaction says pending for quite a few hours..
(withdraw option was available always for us who left the coins on the exchange...)
I only just saw this post. Yes I managed to withdraw coins and Smooth helped me and BoscoMurray helped me and dnaleor did too IIRC

Smooth has done an awesome job with this coin. I think it is a real contender if the community supports it going forward.
No brainer in the long run, dev here is solid and the marketcap is a tiny fraction of Monero (also a must have), and that appears to be winning the anon race.

I only just saw this post. Yes I managed to withdraw coins and Smooth helped me and BoscoMurray helped me and dnaleor did too IIRC As I understand it, they only process AEON transactions occasionally (like once a week or something) to avoid having to run the wallet all the time. That means a long wait time, but so far everyone has eventually gotten their coins. If you have trouble you can probably get help by opening a ticket with them.

"We already work pretty well with Tor though" I can't wait until the Firefox/tor release in Jan/Feb! The sandbox is brilliant - kind of like 2fa

I only just saw this post. Yes I managed to withdraw coins and Smooth helped me and BoscoMurray helped me and dnaleor did too IIRC And International Integrated Reporting Council helped u? Oh turns out, AEON is hugely popular in this regard, having a council on board is a winwin.

Specifications: PoW algorithm: CryptoNight-Lite[1] Max supply: ~18.4 million[2] Block reward: Smoothly varying using the formula (M−A) / (218) / (1012) where M = 264 −1 and A = supply mined to date.[3] Block time: 240 seconds[3] Difficulty: Retargets at every block RPC-bind-port: 11180 P2P-bind-port: 11181What does this mean? Can you tell me how many Aeon are being mined each day? Thank you

Just look on a pool website or block explorer to see what current block reward is.

So if my math are correct 20.40 AEON per block and we get a new block every 240 seconds. A day haves 86400 seconds so 360 blocks per day so 7344 AEON per day at the current reward? is that correct? 20.401047037057 exactly right now.

Roughly, yes. There are some variances, you can check with a block explorer. on saturday 10, first block was #768647 (00:00:00) and last #769076 (23:53:05) so 429 blocks were mined. the average reward was ~20.4, something like 8750 new aeon were born on saturday

I will keep following AEON, volume shows that something good is happening here

How can it be? The number of coins increases every year, and the block reward always decreases. The yearly inflation must decrease accordingly because the ratio of old coins to the number of new coins increases
