Block time is 4 minutes. However, the last couple of hours there have been fewer than expected blocks. It happens.

The number of coins don't matter, although the size of the transaction in bytes can make a difference (bigger txs are harder to fit in a block).

Block explorers that I know of

minergate.com
chainradar.com

Thanks ... all of my transactions have shown up.   Probably it did take a lot of block space since my wallet is filled with 0.5 transactions from mining.

Yup that is exactly what causes problems like this. I had the same issue on other coins.
Is there a good solution for the large number of transactions from mining?

I've considered periodically consolidating my miner earnings into a separate wallet.

Not really. Consolidate periodically. Solo mine. Start your own pool with higher payout threshold.

With the simple wallet I found that transaction of 30 coins went quickly.  Probably larger than that would would too, but 100 was very slow.   You can use the up arrow then return to quickly repeat the transfer.   It wasn't that big of a deal once I knew what was going on.

Thanks guys. At this point I will plan to consolidate at about 50 coins, or roughly ~100 transactions near 0.5 AEON.

If you've transferred your AEON to Bittrex, you can sell it for BTC within Bittrex.

If you want USD, there are several ways to convert your BTC to $$. For example, Coinbase allows you to have PayPal account linked, so you can instantly sell BTC for $$, transfer it to PayPal, and then deposit to your bank account.

Coinbase and the other "legit" services operate with "Know Your Customer" rules. You'll probably have to provide identity documents to reduce their risk of fraud. So it might be much more difficult if you are outside of the United States, plus you lose your anonymity.

Better to save your BTC, or find a more anonymous method to get $$ from AEON.

Hi, Devs.

I've sent AEON coins from my wallet using simplewallet to my bittrex acc, as usual. Wallet shows me transaction ID, but coins just disappeared from balance, and lost somewhere on the way. Since that moment passed 10 hours, but transaction doesn't even appear in blockchain. How could it be?

Usually this happens if your node is not connected to any peers when you send the transfer.

You can recover the coins by:

1. Shut down your node
2. Delete poolstate.bin
3. Restart node
4. Renaming the wallet data file (then one that does not end in .keys or .address)
5. Start wallet. Since it won't find the data file, it will rescan; when done your coins should be recovered and you can try sending again. Check print_cn in the node to make sure it is connected first.

Thanks for your reply,
I'm sure, that node was connected at moment of coin transfer. I've tried to restart it, but it doesn't help, at least immediately.
Anyway, coins successfully arrived to it destination, but with long delay.

I will start the Aeon mining
How to make a wallet
Which pool do you recommend
thank you

I'm using https://aeon.kryptopool.com/.   I'm earning twice what I was a minersgate.com.

Daemon and Wallet are at: https://github.com/aeonix/aeon

First you run the daemon aeond, when it is synced up you run the simplewallet.

I'd probably put that useful info as sticky for newsbies.

Linux x64
aeond build from this repository - https://github.com/aeonix/aeon.git
now i've deleted everything in .aeon and start from begining

Did you have any power outages or unexpected shutdown or you killed aeond with 9s or anything when you were trying to sync the first time?
