I have noticed after using this majority of the day that it doesn't appear that my profit switching is working properly. I only have 3 items checked: NiceHash, ZPool and HashRefinery) and I set the switching interval to 25, just to be different. I have been checking my HashRefinery account all day and it hasn't increased at all. Actually went down some. The other 2 are doing great.

Am I missing something that I need to do?

I think there is a bug in the latest version 4.2.9 . It was reported by myself and another person in the forum. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

Running into an issue with profit switching with MPH. It is randomly switching to Skein algorithm, which calculates to $3-4 per day, from other algos that are around $30-50 per day. I've currently got the profit switching set at 60 minutes / 5% profit difference.

Has anyone seen similar issues? Is this a problem with MPH or AwesomeMiner, maybe it's how I have profit switching configured? For now, I just turned off Skein in my profit switching profile until I can troubleshoot further. When it was switching to Skein at such a low profitability I would compare to WhatToMine and still see other coins that MPH supports at higher profitability so I'm at a loss why it would switch to Skein...

Having the same issue.

After disabling Skein completely, I had it happen with $13 Neoscrypt switched from $30 Equihash according to current to WTM. I know our benchmarks and the MPH profit stuff all feeds into the switching algorithm but it seems like something is clearly buggy? If I manually factor in my benchmarks and WTM and look at what MPH shows for the current coin of a specific algorithm it still doesn't add up to it only mining a $13 coin.

Same profit switching issue as well. I noticed under the View Details tab the profitable coin that it's not mining has disappeared yet under the same Profit Profile/Online Services the algo/coin that is most profitable still appears.

Re-adding and restarting seems to fix it temporarily but after a few minutes it disappears and switches to a less profitable option.

Hopefully this helps in debugging the issue.

Hello Patrike,
On zpool online service, i have added Blakecoin algorithm. It seems there's a problem as it display a very high revenue, like there was a mistake regarding MH/GH.
Could you check this please ?

I recently started to use Awesome Miner, and indeed... it is Awesome!!!
Searching the net I could not find a clear answer for my (probably noob) question:
I have 6 AMD card running for Mining Pool, now I want to add a NVIDIA card, is it possible?
Searching in Awesome Miner I cannot find anything , it looks like you have one choose, AMD or NVIDIA and you cannot combine, but I might be overlooking something....

you create another profit miner using the nVidia profile rather than the AMD.

keep in mind, if you're CPU mining, you won't be able to make an nVidia miner since the free version is only good for two licenses/miners.

hey everyone, I just installed some 1080 Ti's in my rig and would like to know how I can set them up as a separate profit miner from my 1070's?

I have 3x GTX 1070's and 2x GTX 1080 Ti's now and I cannot benchmark them separately and save individual performance profiles. the cards have two seriously different performance capabilities, so this is an issue.

is there a way to accomplish this with the free version or do I need to buy it to unlock this function?

thank you very much Smiley

Bumping this, some of my miners have a couple GB worth of logs (6GB on one) in them in the AM service local directory. This isn't a big deal if you have a big HD, but a lot of my miners don't.

There needs to be a way to limit the amount of logs or the total size of logs the AM service creates. I've had certain miners with GB worth of logs that I have to manually delete. Please add this ASAP.
You can disable logging in the Remote Agent configuration tool. The Remote Service Configuration tool is found in the folder where Remote Agent is installed.

So you have to disable logging individually for each miner? That seems like kinda a pita for a managed miner piece of software. This should be available from the management console.

On a different note please add the ability to add notes to each miner with a exclamation or something so you can keep track of what's wrong with troublesome miners.
The next release will do a better cleanup of older log files to reduce the disk space usage.

@patrike

Can you explain the "profit switch threshold %"

I'm assuming it is the minimum % for AM to switch.

So if you are mining something @ $100 and it updated so the highest is no $105 and if you had a 10% threshold it would not switch, but if you had a 3% threshold it would.

I looked at http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx but it appears to be old.
Your understanding of the Threshold value is correct. The idea is to not switch too frequenly if it's only a few percent of profit increase to do the switch.

I will update the profit switching documentation for this (and more) tomorrow.

Id Like to volunteer my time to research the needed data to add more coins and pools to AM. i am also willing to host wallets to get realtime Difficulty and block rewards data.

also im not a programmer but i wonder if its possible to run a server that crawls various pools for current hashrate info? maybe python?
Today Awesome Miner uses the following sources for profit information, where WhatToMine is the most popular source for coin profit information:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/coinstats.aspx

Once a coin is supported on WhatToMine, it will show up with statistics and profit information in Awesome Miner right away.

If another service is providing information about more or other coins, Awesome Miner could connect to this service API as well.

Patrike,

I ran across this service the other day that is also interesting:  https://www.crypto-coinz.net

It's similar to whattomine, and it has a lot of the more "oddball" coins.  They also have a calculation to look at the "miners leaving opportunity"... which is an interesting metric to consider, where the network hashrate is falling on the coin, so you have the opportunity to generate more coins if you go after one.

I don't know if they have an API or JSON to interface with, but you might be able to reach out to the creators to see if they have one.
Thanks - that one looks interesting. No API's yet, but the entire service is quite new so I suppose it will develop a lot during next year. Let's keep an eye on this one!

Hi Patrik,

I'm trying to add the X17 and Phi algorithms for my ahashpool.com profit managed miner.

After I add the algorithms, update managed software (ccminer) and user defined online services, they aren't showing up in the "Online Services" tab of my profit managed mining profile.

I tested the AM included ccminer.exe with proper x17 and phi args, and it mines as expected, so the AM version of ccminer.exe does mine X17 and phi.

I thought since x17 and phi are already included in the normal ahashpool.com api query (http://www.ahashpool.com/api/status), AM should be able to get the new algorithm profit details as it already does for other predefined AHashPool serviece algorithms (i.e. blake2s, nist5, etc...)?

Am I missing something?

I have been mining for a while and noticed that miners are restarting roughly every 2 minutes. I am running GPU mining on Nvidia 980, and it doesn't matter which miner program is running, ccminer/ewbf/excavator, after 2 minutes of mining, the process would stop and restart immediately. I even tried CPU mining, it would run through the same stop/restart cycle.

This is what I found in the logs, showing only when the stop restart happens (the time it takes for each stop/restart cycle is exactly 02min 24sec):

I do not have any rules setup, in fact I have disabled any rules from the settings. Profit switching interval is set to 30 minutes

How can I get the miners to keep mining without the stop/restart every 2 minutes?

Thanks for your help.
"process not running. Restarting..." is typically an indication that the mining software has crashed and Awesome Miner detects that the process is no longer running and initiates a restart of it. What is a bit strange here is that it happens so frequently and always 2 - 3 minutes in between. Is this with only Awesome Miner itself or is a Remote Agent involved as well? Could you click the Diagnostics button in the toolbar just to verify that the output from the mining software is OK?

Hello everyone, currently having another issue.

For the past few days whenever the miner would open it would fail and try again until it just stops. This is the message it gives:

Code:

I also get a windows popup message saying "ccminer has stopped working" and prompts me to close the program. Normally after I close the program and reopen it it will start working again.

I have been miner for about a week now with no issues and haven't changed anything. Any ideas??

If a specific algorithm is failing - try to disable it from the profit switcher as it may simply not be stable in your setup. Right click on the miner and select Edit Profit Profile. In the Profit Profile Properties, uncheck this algorithm to exclude from the profit switcher.

I'm currently on the v4.2.4 which is somewhat old. The AM detects the new version and when I try to update it, after the installation procedure, it still says I'm on v4.2.4. I tried downloading the latest v4.2.9 from the website and installed that. Afterwards, it still says I'm on v4.2.4.

Is the latest version misreporting the version number, or is my app not getting updated? I have setup the exclusion in the Windows defender already - no warnings during the installation.

Thanks.
It was not updated correctly. Can you please send me the log files in "%ProgramData%\IntelliBreeze\" via mail (info at awesomeminer.com)?

Lost all 17 of my miners configurations after reboot. Running Premium Edition 4.2.7  and now AM boots to defaults with no miners or any configuration (just like a clean install). How can I recover my miners configurations?
Awesome Miner keeps 3 copies of the configuration file to reduce the risk of any file getting corrupt and resulting in lost settings. I have received maybe 2-3 reports in the past where all configuration files have been replaced by NULL characters, due to file system issues. The most common scenario is however if someone uninstall Awesome Miner and install an older version that is unable to read a newer configuration file. I'm not saying that's the case here - but it's good to know.

If you send me your log file (via the toolbar: Tools -> Log File) I will probably be able to recover the configuration for you - and also see why it was failing. Thanks!

I've posted before, but can someone please help me figure out why my benchmarks will not save?

I can edit configurations just fine under options, however whenever I run the benchmark with the proper profile selected and algorithms checked... I click "Save to Profile", the configured hashrate column changes, but no changes are made when I go back into options and look at the profile.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, ran as admin, etc. and I cannot figure out why my benchmarks will not save.  Is there a log somewhere I can submit to have further troubleshooting assistance?
I've made some correctons to the profit profile in v4.3 that soon will be made available. Can you please try to upgrade once availale and reproduce again? If you run into any issues, please send the exact steps to me via mail (info at awesomeminer.com)
