Looks like it's both.

@Income asset, I havent posted that much updates lately, because we had a little bit of loss

It looks like SD has been having some kind of error lately (dont worry our funds are safe), however other gamblers were a little bit discouraged, so our profits dropped. It seems like it's resolved now, so everything should go back to normal this week.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77870.3400

I`ve added some BTC to help recover faster. We should break even by the end of the week and then it will go back to normal Smiley

Hi,

My Local Wallet (Burst Windows Client v0.1.9.2) has only recent blocks till 173630 of 10/12/2015.
It keeps saying, 'Downloading Blockchain', but nothing happens.

1) How do I add some nodes?

and
2) Can I switch to online mode without losing my burst-coins?

and
I have a laptop with powered-usb with 13 ex-HDD.
When I try to connect another ex-HDD, it's say 'out of resources'.
3) Anyone got a solution for this?

THX,
Wieme

Perhaps you can use the online wallet:

https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/index.html

If you know the password, you can use your wallet with no problem.

Hello, can you buyback my BdeBank and BdePool shares? I have sent you PM some days ago.

both assets was discontinued and this was as written in terms, announced here. also as written in terms all shareholdes have to cash out within 7 days after this post. this time window is over, see last posts of me....

I think 7 days are too short to be in time to see your post and place shares for buyback.
What I should to do with these shares?

OK, still no answer. I think it is not good business to open assets, after some time close it in short period and say - who did not place their shares on the stock in 7 day will get no money. I think it's unfair.

Which plotter are you using? The message basically translates to "The library could not be loaded". Probably missing a runtime DLL library.

I got it, I'll tell you when it's fixed.

Edit: It's fixed now. You have to install the new version...

https://github.com/dawallet/burstwindowswallet
https://sourceforge.net/projects/burstwindowswallet/

Some people still get a java exception. It happend to me with a new Win10 installation and newest Java. With the latest update you can plot and mine again even without Java. Only the local wallet doesn't work for them for now...

Simple games that payout instantly to games that takes days or even seasons depending on your betting style and conform level.

Dividends will also be paid out monthly or once the payout threshold has been met. Payout threshold will be displayed on the forum in the news section as the rate may change from time to time depending on the flow of Burst and investments. Payouts from player loses to the house will be pooled at 25% of all Burst taken in. This will get divided and distributed to all asset holders.

The asset once purchased will be put up as house total Burst. When the house loses this will be the guaranteed funds for payouts. As advantages change on certain games. If you have an questions or concerns please feel free to ask.
If anyone is curious and want to check on who I may be. Please refer to the user name on Bitcointalk.org: Lenore.
Have fun and hope to see you at the Playground at launch.

Our Theory
Burst needs movement to increase its price.  It needs a way to move from user to user.  We believe that HDD mining is going to change the way coins are mined.  It already has in some ways.  BTC and other coins could only be mined efficiently using ASICs or high end GPUs.  Most people can not afford to purchase let alone run these mining rigs because of the cost of electricity.  Anyone can mine using there HDD.  It doesn’t matter of its only 1GB or 10,000 GBs of storage.  Anyone can mine using POC Proof of Capacity with something you already own.  As long as you computer is turned on and the miner is running.  Your gaining coins.  Lets get this coin moving.  Lets stimulate the BURST community.  Gain more followers.

Movement = Burst Excitement = Price Increase = More Excitement = Movement
Rinse and repeat.

BURST Playground Asset Owners and BURST Coin Flow.

Each asset holder will receive 25% of all weekly earnings passed threw the Playground.
Another 50% of all weekly earnings will be put into investments for the asset holders.  These investments will pay out all investment returns to the investors.  House takes no return on investments.
Investments will consist of lending with return interest, swings in market value on BTC, ETH, and XMR. And various other investments.
The other 25% will be issued to the house to be distributed to Admins, Mods, Bankroll for future wining payouts, and special winnings.

Additionally, Burst and Burst Credits will be able to be puchased threw the forum using BTC, XMR, and ETH.  As this gives people without BURST the opprotunity to buy into BURST and stimulate BURST using other currencies.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

The Playground will launch January 1st 2016.

ROI would take forever, but with the present development of the size of SSDs, I guess some portions of SSDs will be used for plots in the near future. Have anyone checked what would be the bottle-neck mining on such discs?

And, yes, this is partly an add  Tongue I've got a thread selling up to 2TB Samsung SSDs in Computer Hardware. Wish I could afford one myself just to do some benchmarking  Smiley

Should be the same.   Just the cost of the drives would be what is different.

The cheaper the drive more profit you make.

After ROI its all profit especially if your pc is on all the time anyways.

Oh just my 2 cents here but if your going to use any SSD for mining BURST make sure they are around the price point of an HDD.

$525 for 3TB is roughly around 17 cents a gig.  You can get drives for almost half that.

Unless you have another use for these drives I wouldnt spend the money for just mining BURST.  would take you much longer to hit the ROI.

Thats just me.  You can pick up anywhere between 4-6 TB of space for that much on Amazon HHD.  Just for mining burst they arent worth it.  Price per GB anyways for the job it has to do.

I dont understand what you are saying.

I do beleieve that burst could be mined POC style without the large amount of storage being used.  But thay gives us our difficulty.

I am curious as to how a coin would do if it was POC style like BURST but only need say 1GB of space and have a set difficulty up until there are a certain amount of miners and then the difficulty would be dependant on the user support instead of hdd space used or hashrate.  The blocks would be issued by a single miner and confirmed by all miners mining on that blockchain.  Say a block was issued every 30 seconds by a random miner and all miners mining receive transaction fees and have the same chance as everyone else.  As users increase have a variable block generation time dependant on how many miners there are on the network.  Would really be POC would it but more of POU proof of user or POM proof of miner.

Sorry random thought.  Sorry took a breack from working on the Playground.

Anyways, burst is awesome and im in for life.  May still dabble with other coins but im in burst permanately.

Edited because: I cant spell

Thanks for the answers, simply i think that we should better ways to use hard drivers than simply writing unnusable data, for example a hd cloud space rental or something similar

I agree.  I do like HDD mining love it acually.  But I do have to say I could find better uses for the space.

I was thinking of only plotting chunks at a time.   Like 50GB chunks.  So as i need space just delete a chunk of the plot.

If your just a typical home user.  Even 2TB is more then on needs.  Unless you rip tons of movies and or download hundred and hundreds of mp3s.

But the typical user really wont ever utilize anything over 2TB.   Atleast i never have.
