Burst price is more than below electricity bill not to mention ROI.
How and why is this possible?
I cannot make 0,18 BTC on this price per month in BURST, while need 150$ for electricity.

Yes burst has become incredibly undervalued.  People should be turning off some (not all) miners and using the money saved in electricity costs to buy burst on exchanges instead, which will help the price.

Sounds like a great idea....that way you can mine more burst due to the lower net diff, and get more per burst you sell! Stopping mining is a terrible idea. The whole goal of mining is to secure the network, so do it! Use burst's asset exchange, create assets, link them to real world things. Buy and trade assets. That's how you can help burst. Oh, and spread the word and buy burst, also not bad ideas.

Use:
1. Assets exchange
2. Create assets
3. Create services / sell products for Bursts
4. Use Burst Crowdfunding
5. Use Lotteries
6. Use / sponsor Faucets
7. Use / promote subscriptions

We need to buy more Burst and increase trading activity to help its price go up all the way to the moon. If we manage to advertise and promote Burst's excellent features, more people would become interested in it, and thus there will be more demand. So for now instead of mining for profit, just buy Burst until price goes up and then go back to mine them. Just my opinion.  Grin

I agree with you.  May not be getting more people involved.  It may just be getting or finding a way to use burst.

I know there are many coins out there with less features that are worth more.  Would be nice to see a mas burst shopping spree and everyone buys burst to drive the price up.

Someone should sell some HDDs or something for burst.  Emmm.   Lol.

Is there an active block explorer besides block.burstcoin.info.  One that I can actually see the blocks that were generated.  The ones I found arent working and the last block shown was almost 2 months ago.

What happens when all of the coins are mined? Over half of all coins have been mined currently, right? How will the network stay secure when people will not run nodes since there are no more coins to mine? Transaction fees alone will not be enough incentive.

I am just trying to understand the long-term issues related to the coin supply.

There is no reason people will want to hold Burst, what can you do with it besides buy a handful of assets or maybe gamble. Sure it is a great alternative to traditional BTC mining being energy efficient.  The technical details of the coin in my opinion prevent it from being a currency or anything to compete with other solutions.

In the long run people will not want to waste hard drive space instead of power for the sole act of "mining". Other solutions that make use of hard drive space like Siacoin (already on production network, can earn by providing file storage space), Storj, maidsafe, ETH. There is no way Burst will be able to compete with those solutions.

I have been mining and holding Burst since the start like many here. I have enjoyed mining Burst but have a realistic outlook about it and not live in dreamland like people will prefer it over other solutions. You ask......why don't I do something to help it become a success. The answer is simple. I do not believe it can be a success due to the above reasons and other up an coming competition. Frankly, it is not worth saving.

Anyone following this thread should see a good reason to continue holding Burst.  Sure, committing resources to mining it is still a bit of a gamble, but holding what you've already got is basically a no brainer with the potential gains that could be realised.  Beats selling at these prices, anyway, heh.

These features look great. Can't wait for Playground's launch. I have a doubt though, I have invested lately into Playground Phase 1 (but didn't noticed it was already sold officially, just bought them from other user) and now there are other phases...The question is will I get paid dividends even if it's Phase 1 or 2 or 3? Sorry for asking, but I quite don't understand how Phases work.  Smiley

Yes investors from all 3 phases receive dividends from all phases.  If you purchased into phase 1 but not phase 3.  You will receive interest and such from phase1, 2, and 3 as well as if you purchased into phase 3 you would receive from 1 , 2 ,and 3.

No matter what phase you purchased into you will collect on.   Just the different phases are paid into different things.  Such as described previously.  There are 2 Playground assets issued as well as a PGround3 and there will be a PGround4 shortly after 3 sells out.

But once all 4 phases sell everyone will get a boost in there burst uptake.

I will be issuing a return here in a day or so to all investors already in.   Not sure on how much it will be but it was a throwing and get a return as I dint expect phase 1 to sell so fast.  So I figured I would get everyone a return right around launch.

Anyways, I have a little more work to do and then Ill post up the URL might be a few hours yet.  few things I want to check.

Will let you all know as soon as it is ready to be announced.

Also I haven't forgot about RESERVEBNK  asset either, I will start soon a trading operation from which the profits will go directly there.

Until then, follow the updates in it's ANN thread:

Vector Asset

Here are the payouts for Dec. I haven't payed yet, but will do asap.
I wasn't online yesterday, so i haven't sold the last asset i just bought. So we have some float assets left. So we enter 2016 with a positive balance.

We will be selling 25000 new asset at 30 Bursts. This is a fallback from 36. We are still above 17 Burst that would be the issue price at the moment.
I will change some of the things about how the asset works. I will focus on improving the asset for the current holders and not the people that want to invest in the future.

i won't invest in Playground before i see a valid payout from the asset or Lenore invest directly in Vector for Playground.
Any questions? Feel free to ask.
Edit: I made a error. It's not a ton of money, but can BURST-YZJ6-LYBY-WAC6-BQYGC Send 856.64 burst back to the sender? If not, i'm gonna pay that myself. Grin
