One thing to keep an eye on is bitcoin's bull market.

Altcoins tend to suffer in the beginning of bitcoin's bull runs. You can see Litecoin (https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/btce/ltcbtc) , Peercoin (https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/btce/ppcbtc), and (Namecoin (https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/btce/nmcbtc) all crashing hard in October 2013. Litecoin also suffered in May 2014 as bitcoin began its bull run to 680. XMR/DRK did well at that time, but only because anonymous coins were new and hot. Other alts suffered.

So if bitcoin breaks 300 with strength today or in the next few days, then we should prepare for some pain.

They suffer crossed against bitcoin but they almost always do well in terms of fiat in these situations.

It bodes well for the recent support that we are getting both.

LOL. Also the wall pic is quite impressive. Lack of sellers is starting to hurt the rise...  Cool

So, obviously you need not answer this...  But how much of this recent action is connected to you and your investors percentage wise would you say?

Of course figuring for price the XMR side of the volume might be at an all time high.

It seems reasonably safe to get in under .003 for now.

The most startling thing I'm seeing is the lack of sell orders. There are a lot more HODLers than I would've thought.

You're actually late in buying i bought a few at 0.001. Tongue
Anyways It's a huge and long term project so anything under 0.004 is a good buy in my opinion. Wink

it looks like darkcoin will be rebranded to dash  Grin

sometimes things come better as expected - the only real advantage darkcoin had over monero was that it was here earlier. with the rebranding they even manage to destroy this advantage Smiley
This is great. The first core member (vertoe) already left.

From my POV Dark only real advantage over Monero was/is, that is was RPC-compatible with Bitcoin from the Bitcoin. (Obvious at it was based on the same codebase.)

observation / context:

current 24 hours volume: 291595 XMR

Whats the emission right now? Lets just call it 15k a day.

So about 20 days worth of coin has been exchanged in the past 24 hours. If we make the crazy assumption that the sell wall disappears - that is, nobody is willing to part with their coin at any price, and the bids keep on creeping up, in approximately 20 days their would be enough newly mined coin to be sold and move the market ...

and 3 days since my pool found a block!!!!

Investing a reasonable amount at 0.00265 can make you rich but buying a few at 0.001 will certainly not make you rich.

From the perspective of a larger holder, it was extremely difficult to buy any larger quantity at 0.001.

If you are buying, you do well if you can buy 10% of the daily volume, on average 1% above the vwap = daily average (try it, it is not easy).

The all-time-low vwap is 0.00099, so if you picked that day (out of the 300) with your timing skills, and accumulated 10% of all the volume that day, you would end up with a position of 8,000 XMR at 0.00100.

I agree, that is commendable.  Wink

My lowest buy was somewhere 0.00095 range... Did not manage to get many coins though (if I remember correct I got a few dozens only sub 0.001 levels).

The trend will most likely last but there might be points when the trend is not this aggressive.

If you don't give a rat's ass about Monero, I would do the following:

- Put a stop loss at 0.00165, which is at the low after the first attempt at 0.00194 (high was 0.00192192).
- If it hits, you make 10%
- If it doesn't, you are rich. Sell when you need a house or something.

If you believe in Monero, the advice is:

- Buy from the stop-lossed sucker if ever it hits 0.00165
- If it doesn't, you are rich. Sell when you need a house or something.

Always happy to help Smiley

You need to look at this. We are a long way a way from the all time high of this coin. Even at current pump price it is still undervalued.
