There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

What do you think? Am I wrong about this? At the very least Coinmarketcap have it wrong that 100,000,000 is total supply and probably should be told.

Is gemz as safe as threema? And what´s the diference between normal chat and secret chat? Does the normal chat save any informations (and secret not?) or is the possibility of self deleting messages the only difference?
edit: And/or what does "leave no trace on our servers" mean?

next:
When do i get my 25gems for inviting a friend (via "store" - "earn gems" link)?

Thanks and keep up the good work.

While all messages are always securely encrypted, messages in Secret Chats use client-client encryption, while regular chats use client-server/server-client encryption and are stored securely encrypted in the cloud. This enables your regular messages to be both secure and immediately accessible from any of your devices, you can also easily find them using server search — which is very useful at times.

Secret chats are meant for people who want more secrecy than the average fella. All messages in secret chats use end-to-end encryption. This means only you and the recipient can read those messages — nobody else can decipher them. Messages cannot be forwarded from secret chats. And when you delete messages on your side of the conversation, the app on the other side of the secret chat will be ordered to delete them as well.

You can order your messages, photos, videos and files to self-destruct in a set amount of time after they have been read or opened by the recipient. The message will then disappear from both your and your friend's devices.

All secret chats are device-specific. This means, you can only access messages in a secret chat from their device of origin.

Thanks and well done so far!

You get rewarded 25 gems every time someone downloads getgems using your unique referral link.

That's weird. There must be a way to use the wallet seed to create the key pair so you can read your secret chat messages on any device. Apple does this with iMessage which are end-to-end encrypted.

How are they self-destructed? With just a delete, or are the associated bytes zeroed out or hashed into unrecoverability?

Look how dirt cheap Gemz are in reality if the proper valuation variables are accurate. Some might think its good to be high on coinmarketcap but persinally ive always found reality to be the best option. It also make gemz look overpriced. Gonna use these guys from now on personally.

Thanks for the suggestion, coinmarketcap doesn't have the math down right for coin valuations. The place you suggested looks more well put together.

It really does. I was genuinely shocked cause i depend on coinmartcap so much, i know they have had a few dodgy coins promoted but this really chages my view on valuations across the board. Ripple never made sense to me and also i felt something was wrong that we were below the ipo price for gems but still quite high on yhe charts. This  shows yhe truth. For goodness sake we are only a handful of places above Jumbucks!   Grin

Never gonna use it again...

Worldcoin index is based on volume thats why its just above jumbucks, if the supply is half, than the price would double by now and we would be pretty much on the same spot we are now, but nobody knows this worldcoin index, people check coinmarketcap mainly. Right now i only care about more users.

I know this was mentioned before, but I will mention it again....

I know that Gemz is a phone based currency, however it would be nice to at least have the option of being able to transfer coins to a desktop wallet. When Gemz goes to $1+ per coin, anyone with several tens of thousands of coins or more will want a super secure way to store them and I'm not sure people with that many coins will want to trust Bittrex or their phone.

Other than that, this project is super exciting! Just joined yesterday and it seems I found this coin at the PERFECT time!  Grin

As mrvegad said, tap on contacts and type in Cyb3rpunk or VicVegas, tap on the username and a messaging window will open, there you can send a message and that user will automatically get added to you chats.

I think your question was misunderstood. There is a desktop wallet already! Gemz can be stored in a counterparty wallet, go to counterparty open a wallet and send to them. You can even make an armoury wallet in counterparty.

What people meant was there is going to be a desktop version of the app later.
