Nice one.
Just looked at the stats on Kano's = 450TH and a 50TH found the two today as well Wink

You can never tell with the hashing power this is what makes it fun.

One guy who I introduced to the rental hit his first block on another solo.pool (I dont trust it though hence I never use it) but they state taht someone with 1.5TH found a block as well on the 15th Feb.

All fun fun fun.

got to get me renting again, people are getting close to my 4block find Smiley

The issue might have something to do with the offending "Ghash" part.

Looks like he's asking for help to get GHash.io to work for him.  Just not clear as to what he's asking.

I'm really not understanding the concept of a solo pooled mining. Seems an oxymoron. Can someone explain? How is this different than mining a block on my own?

It's not Wink except for the fact that you don't have to run your own bitcoind which makes it a whole lot easier.

It is costly to mine solo on your own.  You spend power to run a blockchain in a server pc.

So now if you have a big farm with 50th you now add the power to run a server to do true solo mining. It may pay to do it.

But if you run 2x machines at 2th. Running a server adds money to the cost.

Congrats on the recently block! I've enjoyed reading through this thread and seeing all the solved blocks.

So I am a new user here trying to get my first of two pieces of mining gear going and not having much luck with either.  I have a question with one of them in particular that I'm curious if it is a problem from the pool, or hardware.  I have a Cryptorig Hitchhiker usb stick (Bitfury ASIC, same chip used in red fury, blue fury).  I downloaded the latest BFGminer, plugged in my usb stick, and then launched BFGminer using the following: bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u myBTCaddress.HH -p x -S all --set-device NFY:osc6_bits=50

The light on the ubs stick comes on briefly, the screen displays:
"Started bfgminer 5.1.0"

Then the light goes out, nothing happens on the screen, then it quits with:
"No server could be used! Exiting."

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?  Does the pool not like me, or is this a hardware issue.  Thank you.

EDIT

Figured out if I use zadig to change the driver I can use cgminer, launch using cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u myBTCaddress.U3 -p x --suggest-diff 6 and I get the following:

Started cgminer 4.9.1
Probing for an alive pool
Waiting for work to be available from pools.

Then is just quits back to the command line after sitting there a minute.  Any idea what I'm not doing right?
