This will give you the average expected time to find a current block:
http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php
Just can enter your hash rate as the pool.
So ... if your average expected time to find a block is 100hrs and you mine for 10hrs then ... you do the math Cheesy

also pool must have restarted yesterday
Pool stats reported here:
http://solo.ckpool.org/pool/

Recent snapshot:
Code:
{"runtime": 2023818, "lastupdate": 1425386722, "Users": 167, "Workers": 389, "Idle": 146, "Disconnected": 17}
i.e. it's been up for over 3 weeks based on that runtime continuously so no restart. Next scheduled downtime is in 5 days as mentioned earlier for VPS provider security upgrades.

FYI

While streaming Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) I had CGMiner 4.9.1 close & exit twice while mining at solo.ckpool.org, I switched pools to bitcoind running locally and it's been going without exiting for about 30 mins now. I'm running the Windows build of CGMiner and it had been running for about 24 hours and only started crashing while watching the movie.

I haven't seen this behavior before, I just upgraded the miner to CGMiner from BFGMiner yesterday.

You've clearly run into that rare incompatibility between CGMiner, Windows and the streaming of a bad horror video on the same wifi network.  Such unwelcome bandwidth harmonics only affects CGMiner 4.7 and higher.  It is recommended that you downgrade CGMiner or switch back to BFGMiner immediately, or upgrade to Linux.

And count yourself lucky it wasn't a good horror movie.  I bricked a whole stack of S4's binge-watching the Saw movies that way!

I streamed one of the Superman animated movies (low res off YouTube) last night and all the eruptors lit up again. I alt-tabbed out of full-screen to find the system had ground to halt, I even had no mouse action for a few seconds and CGMiner complained about lack of work but it didn't crash like while mining at solo.ckpool.org.

Hi I know the odds are not with my side that is why I dont rent for longer periods
I runned solo for a week with my equipment 22ths nothing happened
so after some days I runned again with rented hash just to try it.
As said in the earlier pages you either need balls of steel and I add or steal electricity...
dont and cant have both selections so mine as usual under a pool.

Maybe kano can help here, but I think that you are better off overall with running the 22th on a regular pool and just renting a lot of hashpower for a short period of time.

Well, he's going to suggest that you try kano.is obviously as its one of the best pools going and you can always have solo.ckpool as your back up, hell, maybe even a load balance even. That's rollin' the dice now!

Have tried this using Kano I mined there for nearly a 3 weeks when hash rate was low guess about 1.2 phs ...and again when giving a Spondoolies SP-20.
After a block that lasted 6 days I confess I changed pool...

Congrats!  First-time block solver on the pool, I wonder if it was rented hashpower.

Ok, my turn now.

Hi all, just a reminder about the vps provider scheduled downtime for this pool which is due ~36 hours from now. Please have failover pools set up as the actual duration of downtime won't be known in advance and may be many minutes.

best share remained the same as in the previous post so I thing I needed at least the double as
best share to find a block...
hopefully next week now...
good luck to all

Silly question within the same difficulty period does it have any difference that
you rent for instance 200 ths for one hour or 400ths for 30mins
