Noobie normie here. Just got a couple of old S3's figured id set em up to mine. Been looking around and seems like this is the only way id be able to make money with a combined hash rate of 950 GH/s...

Anyway, I have them pointed at the address and they are both working, i can go to the status on the website and see that they are both hashing away.

How can I be sure it will go to that address if i ever hit a block?

Secondarily, are there any other mining options out there for someone with older equipment? If not im just gonna let these guys have at the lotto system! Wink
.

if thats your correct address and your stats are showing, if you hit a block it will get sent to that address,
secondly, around 950Gh on a pool will get you roughly $1 a day.   you're looking at $30 a month or $360 a year  Grin   but considering the difficulty rise, that will drop

so your best option is to leave it up to lady luck

The name of that site is a misnomer, it actually monitors Kano's public group pool, which is an implementation of the "ckpool" software (not ckpool.org).

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Well not really - ckdb is part of ckpool (and the largest part of the ckpool git) - I wrote ckdb.
Zach's web site talks to the web site (I wrote) in front of ckdb. That's all there in the public git.
It just happens that I was kicked out of ckpool, he has yet to delete the software from the git Smiley

the pools status is jason output wich can easely beeing processed by
any language used for building apps.
So if someone want to write it for Android, it will be easy.
For Apple there are no free tools nor can you do it on a pc.

Is there a setting you can put in the password field to define a higher difficulty for a specific worker? This is for solo.ckpool.org

I have tried various common syntaxes but none seem to do anything

I have tried:
d=20000
diff_20000
20000

No.
But you can use --suggest-diff 20000 if you're using cgminer.

You can't mine this pool with CPU or GPU, they don't have enough power.  You may want to find a CPU only shitcoin to test mining on.

It sure is.  I picked up one of those off ebay awhile back and have been pointing it here ever since the block reward halved.  It probably won't hit a block but it's still cheaper than playing the lotto.
