I was reading this topic and I thought higher diff would be better to reduce the network load and be better for the pool?

The pool is choosing the diff. That config only affects local mining to the proxy.

I setup a full node and bitcoind I will look into setting up a small private pool at a later date once I learn what I have now.

What has that got to do with the solo pool which this thread is for?

It's closer yes, but a very very long way away. That is indeed how you find a block, but you need a shitload more zeroes and it's possible though unlikely. Hashrate first and luck second is how you find one.

Up above in the stats, what exactly is the "lastshare" value?  I've noticed that it does not change much.  Thanks!

Question: I run my 6 x S9s for 1 week straight on NiceHash after which I check their miner status page 2 report 0 FoundBlocks found, 2 report 1 FoundBlock found, 1 reports 2 FoundBlocks found, and the last 1 reported 4 FoundBlocks found the highest BestShare on any of them was 4,410,709,657

So I figure I'm good to go and try solo.ckpool.org!!! I moved all 6 x S9s over to give it a honest effort and ran them for steady for 1 month their status pages all reported 0 FoundBlocks found after 1 month. The configs were good and solo.ckpool.org registered a steady +80TH/S for all 6 x S9 miners.

So, I flipped back to a shared pool and boom after 1 week miners reported a few blocks found here and there.

I understand its luck and difficulty is astronomical but, why do the miners report found blocks individually when on a shared pool but not when solo-ing???

If I missing something I would truly be grateful for some extended knowledge with this scenario.

What you let users mine on nh could be anything from ACOIN to Bitcoin to Zetcoin and the "found blocks" could be any one of those; it's only something to value if you know what your rigs are mining (the likelihood that 6 S9s found 3 Bitcoin blocks in 1 week is infinitesimal).
