Just wondering what equipment you guys using ? R u all big players with s9s? My 741 should be here mon or tue but also managed to get some antminer u3’s Obv they r gonna be used were i get free elec and got them real cheap so thats another 3x 63gh’s that i will add online Now for me its all fun adding the small units like the u3’s but will they help the pool out in any way? Or r they a waste of space 😂 Obv i can resell then and make money so im happy to run then on kano or sell them for profit lol
Not a big player at all. 1 S9 8 Avalon 741 3 Avalon 741 in route. I use an old container that used to grow things. Expanding with profits so it’s going slow. Compared to me u r a big player 😂😂😂 Having that much mining power (cba to add it up) have u broke even? Like with miner cost and electric ? Not even close. LOL. I have spent quite a bit on knowing I am going to expand. I only have 300 amps of 240 power available and have wired it up so each circuit takes 2-3 miners. I also bought a lot of the gear used at Jan 2018 prices and now am buying the 741s at half that cost. I am long term with this endeavor so breaking even is not really what I am after on this build. I am having fun and trying to figure out expansion. I run 2 other businesses out of where I mine so its not as important.

Kano, would it be too much to ask for the year in the "block utc" column on the rewards page? Started logging data, helps with the sorting...
Done. Haha! I did a test and wouldn't you know it, the new date format is not recognized as a date now when pasted into a spreadsheet. Works fine in LibreOffice Calc If you're stuck on windows, LibreOffice also runs on windows ... and it's free ... and yes it's very good ... been around for 18 years but it used to be called OpenOffice https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LibreOffice

Already been tried, read over the last 20 or so pages. Kano tried buying 1Ph himself.
At time of writing I can load a cart with the MOQ of 3x lots of 20x 821s and start the checkout process. Now maybe that's as far as I would get, but assuming they validated the order then it appears that one buyer could purchase 60x 821s (66 to be exact since each lot includes 2x "free" units) for $120,825, including shipping. That works out to about $1830/miner. Not exactly a steal, but better than the prices from Canaan's approved resellers. Then you have to add shipping (and then shipping to get everything from point B to points C, D, E, F, G......).

However, you are correct that re-shipping to everyone would add some cost. That could add $50-100 depending on location. Considering that their resellers are selling 821s for $2899/unit we'd still be money ahead even with the double shipping.

I know the feeling... I have one more S9 waiting for a power plug ... It's that time again too, it's highly probable to get a block today!

Hi to all! Tell me please, where else can you attach the S9 miner? I understand that on your pool I have nothing to do with it, luck will be zero ... Please do not laugh very much, and I apologize for my Google-English))))

Hi to all! Tell me please, where else can you attach the S9 miner? I understand that on your pool I have nothing to do with it, luck will be zero ... Please do not laugh very much, and I apologize for my Google-English)))) Attach the S9 to Kano of course - change Kano.worker to your own Username.worker: On your miner setup page, use something like this: +--------------------+-------------------------------------+ + Pool1: | stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 | +--------------------+-------------------------------------+ + Worker: | Kano.worker | +--------------------+-------------------------------------+ + Password: | x + +--------------------+-------------------------------------+
Of course replace 'Kano.worker' with your pool username.worker If you have network issues using port 3333, you can also try: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:80You can also try any of: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:81 stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:443 stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:8080There are other nodes located around the world that you may be closer to: stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333 (NewYork) stratum+tcp://nl.kano.is:3333 (Netherlands) stratum+tcp://de.kano.is:3333 (Germany) stratum+tcp://jp.kano.is:3333 (Japan)

Im new to this type of forum thus i dont know how to post images, image should be good for the non-english speaker i suppose, but i try my best to show you. In your miner settings: Pool 1 = URL = stratum+tcp://jp.kano.is:3333 Worker = yourworkername password = x Pool 2 = stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:81 Worker = yourworkername password = x Make sure you have registered to kano website.

So glad you made efforts to make the images on them and im glad to retweet and like them for KANO community! Having the image with CHINESE characters i believe would help a lot as i believe, there are also lot of chinese miners out there that are not too technical and need guidance on setting up their equipment. Ill try my best to join some Chinese mining forums and spread the love of KANO so our hash could grow...!

At the risk of blowing up the ebay prices, there is a seller (ecpar411) that has 10 auctions for soon to be delivered S9's with power supply and he wants $1,000 each including shipping (and the auctions may go for less). I have a feeling it is a scam but it could be that he knows about an upcoming bitmain announcement that will crash the prices. I am working with him to get proof that they are in transit to him and that he owns them. If it turns out to be legit, I will probably add 30 of them here and sell the rest to anyone with a continental United States address. Since I will have to wire the money and take the risk, I will sell them with 10% added to the final price ($1,100 per unit) if paid in crypto or 15% ($1,150) if paid by credit card. Since the address would be changed to mine, I will likely be required to pay duties which would get added to the base price. In any case, likely way less than $1,830 per miner if it is legit. Payment plan (if it happens) would be to get your credit card information and Authorize the amount (but not charge). That may reduce your credit limit for about 2 days till it automatically drops off. As you know, credit card charges are easily contested (and it taints my merchant account), so you will NEVER see an unauthorized charge from me. Once I get the units, you will decide if you want me to ship it tested (not more than an hour) or unopened. I will need your contact information and we will set a crypto price at the time of shipment based on the minergain.com prices and you will get a unique payment address. I will ship it fedex ground with a signature required (usually around $20 for one, less per unit for more). When I see that the shipment has arrived, you have 24 hours to pay me in crypto or ACH bank transfer. If you do not pay within 24 hours, then I would charge your card (which hopefully still works). So please share your thoughts on 1) if anyone has insights on whether this is a scam and 2) thoughts on payment plan if it were to proceed.
