Definitively YES! I am in the middle of month long comparison of Kano to Slush, which I began on March 1 with a S9 on Slush and a fully ramped S9 on Kano. So far the results are, since 12:00 a.m. march 1st. Kano reward = .01779069 and Slush reward = .01336124. That puts Kano ahead by .004422945. I do not think either pool has had particularly great or poor luck this month so I would have to put Kano as the pool to mine. That said, February was not the greatest month on Kano and being a smaller pool you are apt to be impacted worse by bad luck it seems, however when you have good luck it is similarly impacted more for the better. I will be adding 3 more S9's to KanoPool next week! I have read good reviews of this pool. Do the members recommend it for smaller miners? 114th/s?
Thanks
YES 100% Every little bit of hash pointed here isn't pointed elsewhere...that can help get us up over the hump. All it would really take is a couple of really really lucky blocks and you'll see the pool hoppers come out in force.

I was only partially joking when I quipped about cracking a block with a U2. I'm not running my U2 any more, but I have almost 500 Gh/s just in USB miners. Even little guys count when you throw luck into the equation.

Thank you all very much for your replies. I'm unfamiliar with "ramping" so I will study up on that. It sounds like I should bring the miners over 1 or 2 at a time to get rolling, or just "all at once"? Sounds like transitioning in steps leaves less downtime overall.

The sooner you point it to Kano Pool, the sooner you are ramped up. Doing it a little at a time just delays full ramp-up.

the more power you bring the faster you will ramp up

Each specific miner has it's own ramp time...more you bring over earlier, the quicker it brings down that overall ramp for you and everyone (assuming pool hash rate stays the same or slightly increases).

In general, I decided, and all the same I started my S9 miner on the cano ... I understand that I did not have time to block, well, I did not have time, I hurried and removed it from the pool ... (please do not throw stones at me), now I hope that for a long time I'll sit here)))

At the risk of blowing up the ebay prices, there is a seller (ecpar411) that has 10 auctions for soon to be delivered S9's [snip]
from my research this is a hash board swap situation (just a guess) but alot of ebay people by new swap out the hash boards on there old ones then resell the new "shell" with old hash boards. since they dont accept returns ebay is genealy in my opinion a bad place to buy. after all why would someone buy a SKID of s9's jst to turn around and sell them at half price ? Speaking of eBay, the sold Avalon6 prices are approaching an average of $300 each! Due to the age of those miners, recent difficulty increases, new miners coming out, and eBay risks, is it worth it to consider these anymore, or should I just wait until I have enough for a 741?

All depends on your power outlay. If you can afford a bunch of them, vs 741's or s9's (821)...that's where you have to decide how much buying those are vs buying something newer.

You should be mining here now with all of your machines! Bring them all now is my opinion.. You will have some ramp up time (which is explained in numerous threads on here).. That is a nice bit of TH to add and if you look at the Pool stats you would be in the top 1/3 based on amount of TH.. Anyone mining long term need to be mining with KanoPool... BUT You must have patience during the ramp up period... (You will get paid but only a portion till you are fully ramped up) Last I knew they were saying approx 13 days to be fully ramped up Pecker! Mine on Kano!

I would say it depends on how much they cost and your cost and availability of electricity. If you are running them 24 hours a day on electricity purchased from the power company - you will be better off with a 741. If you are running 6 hours a day on surplus or free electricity of some sort, they could be a better choice. You have to do the math based on your individual situation - but for most full time miners you will be better off with the 741.
