1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anything to worry about if you use mixers and not doing anything illegal? on: December 20, 2023, 06:31:01 AM
Centralized exchanges are far more likely to question you about your funds if your coins are mixed. So if you already mixed your coins, probably do a couple of hops from multiple wallet addresses to hopefully bypass their automated flagging software if it doesn't dig deep enough.
Thanks for this tip but wouldn't they still see where it came from and how long it got there towards another address? The scary thing about mixers is that your clean coins will inevitably be tainted by the bad ones which makes it difficult for you to hide that it's gone through that right?

I don't think it's a problem to use a mixer if you're not doing anything illegal though and I want that we have that right to use that services, the only problem with that is you're going to need some explaining to do with why you're using that service and it's a hassle in my opinion.
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin ok in Viet Nam? on: December 20, 2023, 04:46:45 AM
The answers already provided to you OP, now what it means when they say it's illegal as a medium of exchange is that you can't use it to exchange for goods and services, Binance is probably a good place to do trading of bitcoin, P2P in Binance is a good way to buy and sell bitcoin or you can convert to USDT then swap that USDT to Vietnamese dong.
1003  Other / Meta / Re: Ruissian mod? on: December 20, 2023, 03:52:42 AM
Judging by this recent post, he lives in Europe and sympathizes with Ukraine. So it's okay, my little fucking Nazi. Grin
Yes my guy, everyone who hates Russia and sympathizes with Ukraine is a Nazi.
the forum does not care what country you are from, as long you or they follow the forum rules, you'll be fine. if your only reason for someone to be banned or be barred from moderating on a forum is because of them being from a certain country, then I am sad to say that you won't get what you want.
Exactly, even if you support the most depraved and evil people out there like R. Kelly or Hitler, as long as you don't force that support on other people's throats and you're not vocal about them then you're all good here. We all just want a pretend wholesome community here, no politics unless you're in the P&S discussion.
1004  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk mixer ban, Altcointalk is active in that scope. on: December 20, 2023, 02:14:38 AM
Now if this BitcoinTalk forum is not allowed to conduct any kind of signature campaign, will everyone be active in this forum as it is now? No one posts here without profit, everyone has a signature code on their account, there are only a handful of people left.
Casinos are still doing signature campaigns here and I would say that there's a possibility that this can happen but given how active the forum is, it's unlikely that it's going to lose a lot of members, maybe lose some people active on different boards but definitely not going to be in any kind of total disappearance, maybe you're too focused on signature campaigns that you think it's mostly the only reason why people are active here.
Well am I just here to gain knowledge in this bitcointalk forum? Are you also just here to gain knowledge? I won't say, no one comes to this forum to gain knowledge, signature is the only goal besides gaining knowledge. I also have a goal in the future to grow my account and try to join signature campaigns.
No you're not, if the opportunity presented to you to join a campaign here, you would've get into it, don't lie about that. At the least you're honest about that one yourself so yeah. But there's definitely some people here that don't care about signature campaigns, they're only a few so you don't see them a lot and so you think that no one like that exists.

Well now if all types of signatures are stopped from this forum then there will be no people to post here. I'm not saying that absolutely no one will post, there will be many who don't have any kind of signature. Am I right or wrong about this? What is the benefit of closing the mixer campaign? altcointalk are allowed. Has it been justified to stop the mixer campaign at all? Discontinuing the mixer campaign on the BitcoinTalk forum has had one benefit, that is, the activation of the altcointalk forum.
That won't be the case I think, exchanges and crypto casinos are still doing some campaigns here and there's probably projects out there in the future that will use the forum as a platform to promote their services or whatever.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Passionate gambler keeps the gambling boards rolling even after retirements on: December 18, 2023, 06:53:35 AM
~
It is commonly said here in my country that when you put a sugar inside the mouth of a child, he or she does not spit it out, this I believe is exactly the case here, I read the op and I myself too look forward to the day I wil become like that man being discussed, but another thing here is that, we all know it's easy for people to see a rich and wealthy man and want to become like him, but we usually care not to know what they did go through before he arrived at that enviable position.

This is why i usually tell people to work hard to create their kind of wealth and riches, instead of wanting to become another person.
Can you explain what does that saying meant because I find it hard to correlate that to the story. Of course that should be the case, you aspire to be like that man that you're looking up to not to be like them exactly, that's a stupid way to live because you're betraying yourself if you're going to be someone and not yourself. Hard work is definitely a good thing to have but you have to understand that hard work alone isn't going to bring you success because if it did, a lot of our parents who've worked hard should already be rich and successful, you also need to find the right ways to make money, connecting with the right people.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prove me wrong: Gambling is both more relaxing and entertaining than trading! on: December 18, 2023, 05:18:19 AM
I don't know about relaxing but I do agree that gabling is more entertaining than trading because you don't need to take gambling seriously unlike with trading where you need to put your game face on because you're playing with your money and a slight change is an opportunity for you to earn a profit so you can't afford to be dilly dally. Also, it's really hard to compare these two because gambling and trading is so different from one another and even if they say it's just like gambling, it's still isn't the same to me.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm a gambling site for ufc betting that accepts bitcoin on: December 18, 2023, 04:52:22 AM
Anyone using Bitcoin to gamble right now are Boss Cheesy the transaction fee is way too high and using it to gamble where you don't even know that you will win or not, lol its crazy.
Definitely a boss and I assume that they've got some sort of insider information on who's going to win in a specific match so they're doing this that they don't mind the high transaction fees in the network because the return is going to be bigger.
I'll say what you want to hear and it's a yes. There are casinos that will reason out that you've done something wrong when you've been winning too much but the mere cause of that is you're just on a winning streak and they don't want you to bet in that position. That's why if you're going to choose with any that's been suggested to you, choose wisely and the one that you'll have no problem at all proven by many people here.
It's frustrating that they can't be stopped from doing this specific action because it's such a sore loser mindset for the casino, but then again they're a casino and no one enters that business without being a crook so that's how things are I guess, they need to keep the business afloat so they have to do this kind of stuff, maybe we'll sympathize with these crooks if we're on their shoes.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 18, 2023, 03:20:08 AM
1) Do not gamble in work area : It is not ethical to do so. Your employer is paying you to work for him for certain hours. If you waste these hours for gambling, it is a bad habit.
As much as agree that you should follow this, I don't think that you owe your employer especially a bad one all your working hours to just working for the company, if you have the opportunity to have fun or do other stuff in your company, it's a good idea to grab that opportunity, maybe if that employer is one of the best and that person is a leader and not a boss and the pay and the benefits is really good then I would gladly devote that hours to only just work but otherwise, I don't think so. Y'all are a slave to your companies if you don't do this or other stuff when you have the opportunity, that's my take on this prohibition.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shorter the time you spend the better on: December 18, 2023, 02:37:25 AM
I agree with limiting our money to be used for gambling, of course once we get used to it it will be a good habit for a gambler or player in a casino. Once you run out of money in the games, there is nothing you can do but stop and come back another day to make up for the money you have again.

That's actually what I'm doing and I'm used to it, with that kind of habit it's impossible to lead to addiction eventually. because you control the money you will lose and you also implement the discipline and you become one of the responsible gamblers when your habit becomes like this.
If you're still playing daily, wouldn't it be still a causing you to become addicted even if you limit your gambling habit to a minimum daily? Sure limiting might help but the consistency would be a factor to becoming an addict right? Regards to shortening your time playing, would that be enough? Because whenever I play, I make sure that I'm getting the most out of my games and I cancel all my plans that day so there's no worry for time so I either lose the funds or I get bored.
1010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 17, 2023, 09:48:34 AM
To me, it's betting with fun and I think that I'm the same as the majority here I mean where's the fun if you don't have stakes on the game and it's like you're a part of it when you do bet on the games that you're also watching. That's how gambling should be right? You do it because it's for your enjoyment and entertainment and it's not like you're going to be betting too big on the games so where's the harm in betting right? Maybe my answer would change if the money at stake is a little higher than the usual that someone bets but for now, I stand on that it's fun to watch sports when you've got a bet in place.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: December 17, 2023, 09:21:16 AM

Being a card counter is a double-edged weapon because when they stick to counting only, they have to have and comply with certain conditions, that is, that they only play with 1 maso, and that Maso, when the card spread is completed, must say that he will be a new one, this ensures that the falls and the account are not lost, because otherwise they will make a salad of accounts and everything will go wrong, this is difficult, because you have to have a good memory and nothing more, but the stupid are not stupid, They put 2 or 3 masses and so it is very easy for the accounts or the card counters to be invalidated, so even if you have a prodigious memory you cannot do anything, because the accounts will not find what it is, therefore when one You can see it in a casino, you have to do that, otherwise nothing to do with it, what I can say is that when it comes to doing something bio in card counting everything can be taken into consideration, therefore , we are people who must obey certain criteria.
Maybe what you're saying can work in an online casino but to in a real casino, I don't think that it's going to work so I got to disagree with you that card counting is a double-edged sword because there's no clear negatives that you can get out of card counting because it's close to accurate so it's not really that bad to use when you know how to do it, saying something is a double-edged sword implies a negative to the positive that's mostly seen in something. It's boring to obey, no fun at all and it's not like those rules are going to kill you if you don't follow them.
~
People who count cards in black jack do not cheat. I do not consider that they are cheating, because using intelligence is allowed in all aspects, this means that some do not go straight for the tenth of cards, because they know that things are very different, so sometimes players play just for the sake of it.
Totally agree, there's no rule in any casino that says that you can't card count but at the same time you got to consider that the casinos are running a business and we all know that blackjack has one of the lowest house edge in casino and as a business owner, you got to keep an eye out on the games that's going to make money for the players more than you so you don't get any losses out of what they're doing and so they ban people who do this because they win too much.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 17, 2023, 07:43:11 AM
No one in their right mind has said that there's no way that someone can win in gambling, you're creating an enemy and an argument that doesn't exist. What they mean to say is that it's difficult to win in gambling so they just try to simplify it into something which unfortunately makes you and others who agree with your claim get the idea misunderstood. Also, that bet is a parlay and not everyone can get the right bets when you're parlaying because there are multiple conditions that you need to predict correctly.
1013  Economy / Gambling / Re: Welcome to 8ombard.com on: December 17, 2023, 03:00:56 AM
We're open to any ideas on marketing and beginning a signature campaign, if you have any recommendations on the various ways to do it I would love to talk about it.
Signature campaign has been suggested already which is highly recommend but you're going to need some funds for it, you might also want to hire a designer for your ANN thread so it's more appealing to the eyes of the people that's going to check out your casino. Another one that seems to look good for your casino is hosting giveaways or games in the Games and Rounds board of the Gambling board, that's definitely going to appeal to many forum members as it's a giveaway or you can do some sign-up bonus for your casino or something like that, pretty cool that you've started from scratch and I hope you find success and players here in the forum.
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger seem compromised again on: December 16, 2023, 07:05:41 AM
Whoever was the weakest link in the backend of Ledger is going to have his ass handed to him, this isn't just some minor issue because a lot of people have trusted Ledger for a really long time and this happening to them is definitely a damage to their reputation. Hopefully the problem is going to be addressed and that they will find some way to compensate the people that was a victim of the hack and that the authorities are on the case because this is the type of cyber criminal that needs to be punished, no way that there's no malice involved in doing this unlike most hackers that do it for the challenge or the thrill.
1015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Celebrates One Year of Ordinal Inscriptions With 48 Million Mark Hit on: December 16, 2023, 04:40:17 AM
Now that they've hit the anniversary, can they stop doing it now? I'm sure that they've had their fun with the inscriptions already but for the happiness of a lot of people, please stop the inscriptions because it's clogging the network and the people who are doing daily transactions are getting the burden out of their fun.
I don't see anything to celebrate. If someone insists me to find a positive point to the matter, I would say that it is the demand that has the blockchaing of Bitcoin, even for things for which it was not intended but little else,
Exactly, the only group that's celebrating these are the miners because they're getting a lot out of this. I do hope that the developers finally implement the solution that they've got with regards to this stuff, a lot of people that could've made use of that 50 USD tx fee but instead they're paying it because crazy techies are inscribing stupid and redundant messages in the network.
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $40k Price Target Achieved on: December 16, 2023, 03:27:37 AM
On 7th June, 2023 I posted on my TradingView and even here on Bitcointalk that Bitcoin is ready for the next move i.e. to reach $40k.
And it finally happened this week. Bitcoin price is clearly at $41k and it took 168 Days or 24 weeks for the target to be achieved.

If you all are not sure about my Final Bitcoin Bull Run price target, it's $173,566 Before November, 2025. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5463885.msg62722173#msg62722173)
Time to buy as much Bitcoin you can buy and just HODL.

 Wink
That is such a specific number and I can't help but hope that you're going to be right but I do have a feeling that when bitcoin touches the 100k mark, a lot of people are going to be taking profit immediately and I don't think that people are going to just sit there and let 100k pass by, I'm sure of it. It don't matter to me if it hits 100k, if my goal price isn't in there, I'm not going to sell.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in your country. on: December 16, 2023, 02:55:17 AM
A good idea, of course, but the problem is that some members prefer to maintain their privacy and not to declare their country, so I do not know whether this will succeed or not.
Not that big of a problem because there are local boards that can easily identify what country you're from plus it's a good thing that users from different countries are interacting from in boards that are English-only. Given that it's already 7 pages long already and most of the replies comes from members of the forum that have been active here for a really long time, I say that it's a success, not sure what's your measure for success, I sure consider this as a success. In my country, there's not a lot of stuff that's happening besides the SEC setting a deadline for the availability of Binance which is the widely used CEX in the country and so a lot of people that are using them are probably migrating their bitcoins and tokens somewhere already to prepare for the ban just in case.
1018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be enough to buy 100 dollars worth of Bitcoin every month? on: December 16, 2023, 02:02:04 AM
Considering that it's about 1.2k USD for a year, I think that it's enough especially if this is going to continue when the bearish season happens, bitcoin will definitely enter that season after about months of climbing up in prices so I say that you're doing just fine. I feel like you're overthinking things and it seems to me that you can afford to not worry about it since it comes from your father anyways. You're better off finding other ways to make money to supplement or increase the amount of bitcoin that you're going to put monthly in your wallet.
1019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Young student teaching his classmates about Bitcoin on: December 15, 2023, 09:24:03 AM
He was just 9 years old, yet he was able to tell his classmates about Bitcoin and had prepared for it so that his peers would not be confused. I know that many of his classmates will not comprehend the concept of Bitcoin and how we might benefit from it in the future, but I know that with time, they will learn and get interested.

It was a smack in the face to those who understand Bitcoin but can't even tell their friends about it because of their fear and shame. I hope it serves as an inspiration for us to share Bitcoin to our friends who are unfamiliar with it so that we may contribute to the adoption.
How are you so sure that the presentation was made sure not too confusing for other kids? From the picture, I can tell that the presentation is somewhat using a format not conducive to a child's brain so I don't think that it's a child friendly presentation, maybe how the kid explained it is a bit different. Totally agree that some might not comprehend it but if the kid that presented this knows how to communicate it with the other children then there's probably more of them that will be able to comprehend what bitcoin is.

I don't agree with the last one though, what if those people don't have the prowess to talk to other people about crypto or that they don't know how to articulate what they want to say and have you considered that they might not like the idea that the introduction of bitcoin came from them? We all know that newbies are likely to get into investment in such a stupid way that they might blame the person that introduced when they experience the volatility of bitcoin.
1020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quickest way to earn merit? on: December 15, 2023, 08:24:56 AM
If you're asking for the quickest way to earn merit, besides posting quality replies and topics, I hope that your Local board where your other paisanos are located are an active board because they're generous when it comes to people that can speak their language, I'm saying that because I've seen a lot of Russian members that are gathering merits left and right in their local boards since they've got an active community there so there's that, that's probably the only way that I know that can get you a quick merits.
