1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v3.0 on: November 09, 2016, 04:49:42 PM
my problem is not your a thief and steal someone's code , i hope your not my problem is the FEE I wish you would  give us a some way to pay to unlock it instead you say if i don't like it don't use it ,my repose back is  I have to if I  want to mine and use windows sense i don't write code and not to good at it. or I would write my own and wouldn't use your miner and as it stands once there is a working version of silent army for windows, i won't use it , right now i have to . I don't hate you, we all have to make a living some way or another . i hope you understand why i feel like i do and why . I'm sure you will ignore this because you don't care .

thanks top .

1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: speed decrease when Mining in parallel mode(ZEC) (3x R9 280x) on: November 09, 2016, 10:27:52 AM
Don't know if this helps but if you use after burner see if boost is on in after burner . not sure if 280x have that my 280 not X does and having it on lower speeds on mine but it's only one card  and  280 not the X and disable ULPS

my 280 not X

one card with boost off and disabled ULPS . no over clocking.

ZEC - Total Speed: 47.000 H/s, Total Shares: 3174, Rejected: 17, Time: 09:31

1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best 480 brand and model to mine? on: November 08, 2016, 07:36:08 PM
LIke Cryptozillah  said buy the cheapest one and mode, i did and it works just as good as the one that cost 20 bucks more only diffidence I saw was two or 3 fans over one and one bios not two that's with any 470 or 480 card till the 490 comes out then it changes some.
1027  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: November 08, 2016, 06:00:52 PM
Is this a stand-alone miner, or does it need a Pi / PC with BFGMiner?

How are these miners controlled?

Even with Bitmain's release of the latest S9 batches, I am severely thinking of buying some Avalons,

if it follows how all the other Avalon's work , one PI can control 6 or more, from what they are saying you may be able to chain a lot more to gather. tip there is a  internal controller so be very care full with updates you can brick one .

and it works on orange PI's now unless they dropped that , me and Avalon had a little falling out over gear i didn't buy direct they pretty much told go me f off unless i had bought it direct or pay very high price to replace some thing that should only cost 30 bucks and they give no support to non direct buys . so i stop keeping up on the Avalon 7 . and CGMMINER only works unless you are willing to send a miner to Luke the DEV of BFG hell make it work or convince Avalon to do it . Avalon did support BFG at one point not sure what happen .

1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SILENTARMY v3: now a full miner! multi-GPU, Stratum support (Linux only) on: November 08, 2016, 05:23:41 AM
Took yalls advice and I am now on a fresh install of 14.02.  I installed the drivers using sudo apt-get install fglrx I got to the point of "make" and get:

mine@mine:~/silentarmy$ make
gcc  -std=gnu99 -pedantic -Wextra -Wall -ggdb -Wno-deprecated-declarations -Wno-overlength-strings -I"/opt/AMDAPPSDK-3.0/include"  -c -o main.o main.c
main.c:15:19: fatal error: CL/cl.h: No such file or directory
 #include <CL/cl.h>
                   ^
compilation terminated.
make: *** [main.o] Error 1
mine@mine:~/silentarmy$

did you install AMD-APP-SDKInstaller-v3.0.130.136-GA-linux64 then link some thing like this

even may  or may not need to edit this file
Code:
CD / root

sudo nano .bashrc

 put at the bottom

Code:
#AMD APP SDK
export AMDAPPSDKROOT=/opt/AMDAPPSD-3.0
export AMDAPPSDKSAMPLESROOT=/opt/AMDAPPSDK3.0/
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${AMDAPPSDKROOT}lib/x86_64:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}
export ATISTREAMSDKROOT=$AMDAPPSDKROOT

 then use

Code:
 sudo ln -sf /opt/AMDAPPSDK-3.0/include/CL /usr/include
 sudo ln -sf /opt/AMDAPPSDK-3.0/lib/x86_64/* /usr/lib

then after reboot
Code:
make
there may be another problem with the
Code:
sa-solver
i couldn't figure out in 14 so i tired 15 it works greats .

I think that's what they meant by
Quote
You may need to specify the paths to the locations of your OpenCL C headers and libOpenCL.so if the Makefile does not find them:

$ make OPENCL_HEADERS=/path/here LIBOPENCL=/path/
there  is a better way but that worked for me .

1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SILENTARMY v3: now a full miner! multi-GPU, Stratum support (Linux only) on: November 08, 2016, 03:12:35 AM
if that doesn't work try ubuntu 15.10 i had to use 15 i don't get the speeds they get with ubuntu 16, im guessing its the driver and something about sa-solver is only available in 14 so I'm guessing the same for 15.10 more a driver issue then any thing, if, AMD would give those cards support, those cards can use 16 unless some one figured out  a way .

yup it runs the same on  15 as 14 i just tested it with ethOS i think there fglrx  version is Ubuntu 14 , same speeds as i get in 15 on my PC using it direct it should being interesting once this is ported to windows to see what speeds they can get with older cards or even 470 and 480 . sense it has the drivers we need to do it in Ubuntu 14 .
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD announces the Radeon Pro WX Series of graphics cards on: November 07, 2016, 11:48:11 PM
I know that i just had to post it for fun , but I'll bet some will try and waste cash and not because of this post .

I would like to see what it does but I'm not wasting 300 bucks to find out.

I bet some try them for mining.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Genoil's ZEC miner: AMD ZCash miner for Windows - 0.6 on: November 06, 2016, 06:20:05 PM
Hey, would anyone here happen to know why the silent  army version of this miner always crashes on my RX 480? The normal version works just fine, but a little slower. I'm using the default settings if that helps. I appreciate any help I can get. Smiley

bugs does for every one till either a more stable update is released or SA v5 for windows, comes out then we may not need this updated but it would be cool to see but do understand if not,
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 565-570Mhs ETH Farm on: November 06, 2016, 06:12:26 PM
i hope it stays that way so what if the price drops what counts is will it last after the smoke clears im buying a few more AMD card at the end of the month, so i hope it works i really don't want to go back to ETH unless a miner is made that dual mines both with the power usage of Zec , which might not be possible but who know some amazing things are done .

1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ZEC on: November 06, 2016, 05:34:34 PM
Chinese made the first PC . before him  it was a that board thing with beads on it, i forget what they called it back then . most of the stuff we have these day the Chinese invented we cloned it in the western world and made most of it better . i read some place they even invented crypto currencies. to some extent . but china being china like it is now didn't let kind of stuff into the world till years after it was made or invented.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash Miner use mrb code on: November 06, 2016, 05:02:52 PM
oh no! now we got the win-realease of SA3-kernel fast gpu miner for everyone, not only for linux-miner
what a pity  Cheesy
adaseb asked for win-build instruction (see the SA-topic 09/29/2016) and nobody helped - you got what you got  Tongue

and that's bad because some of  us are lazy windows user and called that from time to time . we can't have it ? . and never saw were adaseb asked Sad.
I`m not lazy and can compile with the help of MinGV, but who cares
Linux only  Huh why so? ask mrb

I don't like using  Linux but will use if needed, it's not that i'm lazy like others put it I just agree it's a matter of what you like and don't like, i did test Silent army with Ubuntu 16 they did make it super easy to install  you can  monitor temps fan speed adjust it in Ubuntu 16 now it is much easy to do and there are lots of apps that do it and it is by far faster then Claymore's ZCash Miner and it is funny how Claymore's ZCash Miner came out with in mins after V3 was released or seemed that way . windows 10 made it even easy to use Ubuntu with Ubuntu on windows 10 you don't need MinGV, unless you use other version  of windows then go for it  and  it works well but is only version 14 they are looking into upgrading that to 16 and make moving around between file systems a lot better then it is now . i  saw some one in the SA post actually did it with Ubuntu on 10 .

Linux only  Huh why so? ask mrb  who knows maybe that all he uses and use to, like I am with windows  and who cares true

were getting windows soon I just hope it's not to late .
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: USB pci-e 1x to 16x riser users .. Any performance decrase ? on: November 06, 2016, 04:34:41 PM
1x to 16x riser no difference other then how safe each version is i think the highest version out is V6 at the moment and how well built they are and there are  some cheap version of V3 which is the most used Version it looks like, V6 if there isn't a higher one is the best built safest one from what ive seen, and cost the same as any of them, i use three of version 6  over V3 and there is no deceases in hash.
