I finally found a schedule for the tune-up games but it's just for the USA team.
Here it is.
Quote
Monday, Aug. 7: USA 117, Puerto Rico 74
Saturday, Aug. 12: Slovenia (3:30 p.m. ET, FS1)
Sunday, Aug. 13: Spain (3:30 p.m. ET, Fox)
Friday, Aug. 18: Greece (12 p.m. ET, FS1)
Sunday, Aug. 20: Germany (12 p.m. ET, Fox)
https://www.nba.com/news/2023-usab-exhibition-schedule

The first one was done and they blew out the Puerto Rico basketball team. Well, that's obvious given how strong and young the players of the USA are.
Tremont Waters will badly need a lot of help from his teammates if they want to advance. Sure, this is just an exhibition but it can already show how much of a mismatch they are to other teams if no other player can score especially against Serbia in their Group.

Spain is also not to be messed with Santi Aldama making his debut. They may not have the Gasol brothers anymore but I won't underestimate the power of this guy combined with the Hernangomez brothers.

17 more days. Let's just enjoy the exhibition matches.
won't.

The US squad looks great.  I like the squad Kerr put out there with my guy jalen brunson running the floor.  Mikael bridges (his college running mate), jaren Jackson, etc.  They are young and these guys look ready to ball.  I kind of like not having the senior ayers on the floor for this tournament.  Looking forward to watching competitive ball.

Checking in for the season I could say that Lakers are not as bad as people think they are, they are just injured a lot. Now I know that's not the story of the season so far, but they are my wildcard for the ring and let me explain why.

They have Reaves that is getting better every season, Russel that is looking to take the PG spot and be good, Rui that is a great bench guy who defends very well, Vanderbilt as a great defensive guy as well, Lebron and AD is still there and being an all-star level amazing people, those names alone looks like they are actually pretty good team. I know that it sounds like they are not going to be all that great to some people, but I feel like they could actually be pretty good team for sure.

That's just it, the whole team rely on Bron and AD being on the floor for the majority of the time/games.  Time nor injury history is not on theor side.  Those guys you mention are fine players on their own but as a starting crew without Bron and AD they are one of the worst squads assembled.  Hope to see the older fellas stay on the court but history says they wont.

Joe Burrow is higher than Josh Allen,

No.  But Justin Herbert might be better than both of them this year.

I would be shocked if that was true and if you were a random person in the forum, the skeptical me would think that you are tricking us to pick Justin Herbert first over Joe Burrow and Josh Allen in our draft hehehehehee.

In any case, you might be right after the Chargers hired a new offensive coordinator and traded for some wide receivers who are said to like going deep on the field. There was also an interview with Herbert where he said that he would like to throw the ball deep more this year. This might also be one of the reasons not to put Ekeler very high in our rankings.

Honestly I can easily see that happening.  Where josh Allen has a step over Justin is his legs.  But Herbert consistenty puts up both yards and tds.  Quarterback will be one of those positions that might be shocking how it plays out this year.  I have my own way I like to draft but it hasn't worked last couple years gonna switch it up.  Can't wait to get the season going.

It's hard to know the result of the France-Australia game. But France is one step ahead for me.
The result of the England-Colombia game is already clear for me. England will win the game without any difficulty and will go to the semifinals.

The match between Australia and France will be hard fighting. With the bookies the odds were in favour of France which confirms that France is a step ahead against Australia. The England vs Colombia is already clear and the Colombia team making its debut in the quarter finals whereas for France it is the fourth consecutive reach to quarter finals. In the match between Japan and Sweden, it is Japan that have the upper hands. On the other match between Netherlands and Spain, it is Spain to reach Semifinals. Only one Asian team continues while every African countries progress have come to an end.

I'm gonna take the home team here.  France definitely looks like the better side but taking odds on the home team is never a bad bet.  In the England game I'm gonna take the under.  I can see that one end 1-0 or in a 1-1 draw type of game.  Waiting for on eof those signature world cup games just haven't seen it yet.

Hi,
Some How this Burn Buzz word stuck in my mind and i didn't see practical results so far in any successful token.

For example, Shiba Inu is burning tokens aggressively and is it really helping them?

May be i am noob here and happy to hear from experts!

I believe this topic will be useful for someone too!

Honestly it's a gimmick to cloud the real price and provides little to nothing to the project itself.  If projects are promoting it instead of what they are actually doing than it should be a red flag for anyone.  It's a smoke and mirrors game, stops people from asking what they are really doing with the project.

You know, FIFA has its selection process, right? And they are looking at infrastructure, resources, and capabilities, not religion. So, the Muslim-majority countries having tolerance or not, as many articles state (which, by the way, sounds like a misuse of language to generalize), really doesn't play into FIFA's decision, does it?

But then again, you know, there's this thing where some people might think there's a problem because of religion, and it's all tied up in misunderstandings. Really, it's about sports, not religion, right?

One of the reasons why FIFA conducted the tournament in Qatar was because they wanted to give an opportunity to the Middle-east to host the biggest sporting event in the world. The fact that Middle-east has never hosted any such tournament previously gave them a big plus point. But in the end, the entire selection process was marred by accusations of bribing. FIFA wanted Qatar to host the event at any cost, and therefore they ignored all these complaints. But then the Qataris also played hardball in the end, banning alcohol and LGBT couples.

That was a disaster and was all for money.  Fifa is one of the more corrupt sports organizations.  That touny shoukd have never been played there no reason for it.  The death toll on workers building out the infrastructure alone they should be condemned for but fifa barely spoke a word about it.

The Lakers giving Anthony Davis $186,000,000 with a three year extension seems a bit insane given how much time he has missed. He’d better start staying healthy for the amount of money they’re giving him. 62 million dollars when he only plays about 50 games in a good year seems like like overpaying. I sure hope that contract doesn’t come back to bite them.

Anthony Davis is eligible for the maximum contract extension with that huge worth. Therefore, if the given contract is probably below, Davis might just spend the remaining 2 years on his contract and then consider leaving. What the Lakers do is secure him early despite being an injured prone.

In fairness to Anthony Davis, he's the only player I know that even an injury prone, he can unleash his monster performance right away after returning to play.

Referring to his last season performance, Davis was able to keep his average percentage after being sidelined for several games.

Yeah but the NBA is a contract cap league not like the major league baseball league.  Meaning if AD is injured the Lakers won't have any room to sign anyone else.  They are locked into Lebron and AD and both are older and on the downward trajectory of theor careers.  They will sell seats but they aren't going to win anything with old dudes sucking up all the cap room.

The Los Angeles Lakers are obviously not new to the business and they know how to handle anything about cap space.

They also know the consequences of giving huge contracts to their players. These guys are professional.

Anthony Davis is also not new to them being injury prone but as I mentioned, Davis is proven as "always consistent" playing even after an injury. We can't compare him to other players that once experience being injury prone, the performance will also deteriorate and a result, these players are ended up in different teams.

And no, they are not locked or the team is only about just LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Please refer to their performance on the last revamp they did on their roster in the late season. Just came up short in the playoffs but the chemistry is there. Remember that the Lakers are not even expected by the majority to enter the playoffs last season but that was changed after the last revamp, and it's not because of LeBron and Anthony Davis carrying the team.

I very much agree. The latest revamp proved that the Lakers can be more competent as long as they can synchronize their moves and then we have Austin Reaves who showed a sudden improvement as he can now attack a perimeter, what more if D'Angelo Russell was more confident in shooting beyond the arc. It was good but it's not enough that is why this season, they are looking for an improvement that is why they just added one player to their roster and then we have Davis going back as a power forward.

Lakers just aren't that good enough to bang with the top teams.  Bron and Davis one year older doesn't help the cause.  And with more tape on austin reaves I think his trajectory will flatten out, he isn't going to magically end up as a top 20 guy in the NBA.  dude is a decent piece would be great on a top team coming in off the bench.

Nigeria vs England
The match between Nigeria vs England in the Round of Sixteen was a tightly contested match. The Nigeria vs England Women's match was a goalless draw at full time.  Despite a tough competition between the two teams, England eventually won against Nigeria through penalties.  England confirmed the Super Eight by defeating Nigeria on penalties with a margin of 4-2 goals.

I was a Nigerian supporter in today's match but unfortunately the team I support lost in the tiebreaker. A win against England today would have ensured Nigeria a place in the quarter finals as an African nation but unfortunately they lost on penalties. Congratulations to Nigeria for losing against England but fighting hard and then losing.
Round of 16 matches everyone wants to play well because if they can pass it then the team will go to the quarter finals. And only after the Round of 16 is it known which team has a high probability to play in the finals.  So no one cares about losing in round of 16.  Meanwhile, the Nigeria vs England match was very tight.  Both teams played brilliantly.  However, Nigeria lost on penalties. Nigeria's goalkeeper is most responsible for this.  Because the goalkeeper plays the most important role in penalty shootout
England eventually won the match by going to penalties.  It was achieved through their skill, luck and the goalkeeper active activists. Women's team's games were not much expected but they have been playing very well.  The women's team games are fascinating us a lot. However, Morocco looks like a very likely team for this year's Women's World Cup champions. their quality of play looks most interesting

I mean Morocco is a nice story but they had an opening game loss of 6-0 against Germany.  For them to rip through the round of 16 they are going to have to win probably each game as the underdog.  Not saying odds will drive a win or loss but I can't remember any team that ripped through as that much of an underdog.

Hey y'all...Seriously, I've been having this running through my mind.. maybe it's been discussed but this is on a diverse objective.
Why is it that we tend to have alot of men inclined and addicted to gambling than women? Is there any mystery guiding that?
I mean, You ain't gonna telme that everyone isn't roofed by this economic crises - both gender to speak of - so what's so special about men gambling?? Alot of cases has been reported several times too - and y'all end up realizing that MEN are usually involved in very many critical cases... What's that validating? That men are really taking the whole thing personal??

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

One in a lot of cases the men are more responsible for the funding of a relationship so there is more pressure to get more money.  Second I think more men like sports and sporting events which causes men to gamble more than women.  And from a risk taking perspective I think men are more apt to do risky things with their money.  Add all that up and that's partly why more men gamble than women I think.

One of the great passers for me. Whenever I watch his passes back when he's still in Minnesota, I'm still wowed on how he is passing the ball to his teammates. He's a great passer, but injuries got him very bad in most of his NBA career, and like you said, it might contributed on why he decided to focus on his mental health right now.

As to if he will return to the NBA, it will depend on the outcome of this rehabilitation for him. If basketball is his passion, he might still play basketball. Will he return in the NBA? TBH, chances are very low because of his history within the league. Injuries, injuries, and injuries all throughout his career. I think it would be better for him to just play to his national team, or to involve himself into anything that's related to basketball, but not coming back to the NBA. He's young though at 32, he's still at his prime, but I don't think that any other team will re-sign him once his contract expires with the Cavs knowing his history of injuries.

Overall, I still commend him for being a good passer in his first years in the league.

He was still young when he started his career with the NBA because he was already tagged as an exeptional player because he had an early exposure with his national team which is the Spance.

Quote
Ricky Rubio was born in El Masnou, Catalonia, Spain on December 21, 1990. After starting his professional basketball career in Spain at age 14, Rubio was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the fifth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. However, he played two more seasons in span before coming to the NBA.

source

Rubio was a good passer one of the best but unfortunately his points production isn't that impressive.
If we look at his stats : https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/rubiori01.html

He is not a player who averages 20+ PPG, so not really as good as CP3 during his prime and other great good ball handlers in the NBA.

I will always remember that draft when the Timberwolves had 2 top 10 picks and chose 2 point guards both of which went higher than steph Curry.  Crazy how one pick over another completely changes the history of the NBA.  OH and the other point guard was Johnny Flynn from Syracuse lol.

Everyone has their superstitious that they follow.  That one isn't really that wierd.  After giving your picks to someone else and losing and then next time not and winning will start to make people lean towards not sharing lol.  There are far more rediculous ones out there I'm sure.

US womens team looked uninspired out there.  Not sure if other teams have caught up in talent or that there is a lack of talent on the US side.  Either way Sweden sldeserved to win that game.  Not so sure I'd like to see the US side play Japan, they are eons better right now.

I'm good with what the rest of the league is good with.  In terms of kickers I do prefer to keep kickers in the league, I've won and lost by what the kicker has done.  Played right they can help you.  I put defense in the same category, not high up in terms of importance but can swing a game.  Either way I'm excited for football (and fantasy) back!

This board has a lot of topic that comprises with the negativity about gambling addiction. Let’s change it for now to support the casino we are promoting here.

Gambling is important to the society because it provides huge taxes that government use on hospitals, infrastructure and other projects to help its citizens. Monacco country is popular with their casino but they don't allow its citizen to play. This shows how important gambling in their country because they still allowed to operate it even though they don't want citizens to be involved.

In our country, Our lottery use the proceeds to donate on the health center that provides free health service to our citizens.

Even if gambling commonly view as negative by commoner. Many didn't notice how big is the contribution of gambling to the society.

What is the benefits of gambling to your society?

Entertainment.  People pay $500 to go to a sporting event for entertainment.  I feel like gambling is the same thing.  If you enjoy it than it's worth the run even if you lose.  It's when gambling doesn't become fun but rather a need is when it slides into negativity.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: August 05, 2023, 05:01:16 AM
The US held World Cup was brilliantly held in 1994 when the technology and infrastructure was not as advanced as is now although the freedom even there was the same in the USA.I don't care much what Qatar did and if they ruined their reputation or not but overall I think they made their country well known into the world as no one would know Qatar without this event,no one would know this well about Qatar without this event.

In the countries where it will be held in 2026 it will be one of the most beautiful World Cups ever as the fans are awesome in these countries, and even their national leagues, mainly MLS has become a major sport in US while in 1994 was not that big.
Yeah, US is one of the best country which can organize sporting events at their best and their history about this is also very good because we have too many big events in this country still one of the best fanbase as well for the sports even not like we have for the NFL and MLB but still can expect good gatherings during this event with completely new image of soccer after having problematic event in Qatar even this was also not bad at all.

Now most chances 2026 Soccer world cup is going to have set new trends for the soccer world because mostly we have many new things and technologies from them for big events with now three countries are sharing this all which is also amazing and new experience with 48 teams are going to take part first time as well.

The advantage that the US has over other countries is that with major sports arenas built across the country is that they don't need to build anything new.  They can leverage existing infrastructure to build out for the world cup.  My concern is with Mexico.  They play at a significantly higher sea level than US or Canada.  When the US plays Mexico in the US vs in Mexico its 2 completely different games than each other.  Going to be interesting how the draws occur and the location they play in.  Canada is wildly different than Mexico.

Sorry but I am biased with the Philippines yeah I really don't want to be regarding that this is a Sport where everything can surely happen but As I watch the games of the Philippines against Iran I was quite amazed at what the Philippines can do now on what I remember back then here is the video of the friendly match for the Philippines VS Iran https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbDGSnED7ZA

And against Senegal, I really think that the Philippines did great in this match and this is without Kai Sotto, Jordan Clarkson, and Scottie Thompson, pretty much the Philippines team is making progress in their training for sure they will make a big impact when Kai Sotto, Jordan Clarkson would play with them, here is the Philippines VS Senegal game, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdIux7z8r3w

I read through this entire thread and honestly was trying to see what this tourney was all about.  Was shocked to see Jordan Clarkson plays for the Philippines.  Has he always played for them in international play?  I'm a huge fan of his play in the NBA but just always thought he was of US dissent. He reminds me of Lou Williams career.  6th man type but who.could star on a younger type team.
1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My new favorite betting method. on: August 04, 2023, 09:37:50 PM
The logic behind this betting method isn't complex at all. You bet $2 on x2 and on the next bet you sum +1 to the bet amount and it looks something like this:

Code:
$2 - x2
$3 - x3
$4 - x4
$5 - x5
...
$10,000 - x10,000

I know, in the example looks like a lot of money to bet, but now think about starting from 0.00000002 BTC or better known as 2 satoshis, with increments of 1 satoshi, you can be betting in the long run with 0.001 btc.

To do this I hire a guy to make a betting bot for a casino, and is looking good, is really hard to find a losing run with it.

So, what do you think about this betting method, Has someone tried it in the past?
NBA.

Every "method" has its flaws there is no full proof way to consistently beat the casinos or it would be replicated by everyone and eventually there wouldn't be any casinos.  Gamble for fun if you win great if you lose oh well have fun doing it.  Maybe it works maybe it doesn't I'd like to see some data behind all of your bet results to see how much if any you swing the odds into your favor.

Agreed, I can't see any teams throwing big money at guys in theor 30s with injury histories.  Paul george and kawhi come to mind.  Knick fans were pleading to try to get Paul george via a trade lol.  Dude is 34 and in the last 4 years the most games he has ever played is like 50 games.  Throwing big money at guys who can't lace up is a recipe for lottery picks incoming.  186 seems crazy for sure.  Chances are he won't last on the court, injuries don't get better with age in the nba.

Wow! That's a pretty high confidence for a team that just recently broke history by qualifying for this round in their first time. whatsoever Morocco is as a surprise to anyone watching this women world cup and I for one has been amazed by their excellent performance. Although it's quite clear that African teams have done pretty well this time looking at the likes of Nigeria and Morocco who has already qualifed for the next round.
Morocco made history in both Men's And women's World Cup whether in Qatar or in Australia and New Zealand. In Men's competition they were able to reach the semifinals. This time I don't know if their Women could pass France in the round of 16. Odds for Morocco are x16 vs 1.17 for france. Nigeria x12 and South Africa x10. That's quite a sad ending for the African team in this competition?

Yeah Africa has had a nice showing in this cup.  Women's is much more volatile in terms of who can win where men's is much more predictable.  Might throw a couple long shots out there and see if one of them goes through.  Always like a good underdog story I will be rooting for them regardless.
