1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cosmos or PolkaDot? on: November 28, 2023, 05:53:06 PM
Theirs no coin that will not do well during the time of bullrun, so the two coins you listed I believe that during bullrun both of them get potential or accelerate from the price its to another price, I believe that any coins that survived bearish is good to have and its good to someone to invest it, so I can not judge the both coins because they are altcoins and I believe that altcoins their market is been pushed by bitcoin.

So in essence both cosmos and polkaDot, are good to go for the OP, since they both have the potentials to accelerate profitably during bull run. Although my preference in altcoins still remain ethereum, but I still see other potential altcoins, like the ones mentioned above, that can do well in bull run, after bitcoin has set the pace. Like you said I also believe that many altcoins will be profitable during the bull run, because of increased investors participation, as a result of cashing in from bitcoin. But the problem with altcoins is that how many will survive after the bull run? This is why one needs to very careful about choosing altcoins.

sort of what he is saying but i can also say, it's best to get out after the bull run. you know what happens to altcoins every time a bear market starts. the 2 i think have survived the bear market since 2021. they will survive.  the only obstacle that they may not survive is if Gensler attacks them being a security which the team has to haave at least 100M to fight a legal case. if they are not like Ripple Labs which has deep pockets for a fight, they will fall into the hands of the SEC.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community Stablecoin - Idea on: November 28, 2023, 02:35:50 AM

ETH value is not fixed. its gotta be a big loss for holding stablecoin if this is how its done.

this stablecoin will be devalued easily like the UST of Luna when users are going to claim their ETH or sell their Xusd. some platforms even over-collateralized their stablecoin just so they are going to be safe from devaluation, especially during the bear market. DAI I think is just one of them and also the DJED of Cardano which is 4:1.

1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: November 27, 2023, 09:11:05 PM
The UFC fight card keeps getting more boring as time goes by, I have never seen an institution that is so stubborn as the UFC heads especially Dana and I think if things continues like this they would lose credibility and popularity.
We have seen Francis Ngannou leave the UFC because of the payment packages he receives and he is now with the Pfl and has said the amount he will earn on one fight card outweighs his entire UFC earnings which is crazy, Jon Jones is also facing same issue, Isreal Adesanya is also out, I think UFC should pay their fighters better

that ones you are seeing are probably the fight nights like that of Dariush vs. Tsarukyan but the major fights like the next UFC 296 are always great with disappointing outcomes. the one that i would wanna see the most is the Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Stephen Thompson and there is also Paddy vs Ferguson which might really annoy you.

we can't just pick fighters to match with someone, Dana hired someone new to do this that's why its a mess. there are still UFC champions who are not really choosing who to fight like Pereira. the promotion still is alive and more popular.
1044  Economy / Services / Re: Best Paid Ads for Cryptocurrency on: November 27, 2023, 08:52:38 PM
is your website accepted as being crypto-related where you added the code for AdSense? you are more lucky to haave that account actually when everyone who wants to have are dying to get accepted.

Cointraffic and coinzilla are the most used crypto ad network by publishers or site owners running ads on their sites. Although this two have strict rules when accepting sites on their list, your site should have enough traffic well at least 30,000-50,000 visits per month, i'm not sure the numbers but higher is much better especially on coinzilla. Cointraffic minimum withdrawals is €25 for bitcoin, and €200 or 300 for bank transfer/wire, i just not so sure on coinzilla since the site i managed never got accepted there unlike cointraffic.

€25 looks easy to earn if you have that huge of visitors. 30k a month looks very hard for a blog to achieve unless you are as creative as those crypto news sites to have done it alone. the popular crypto news sites such as i can see are using adbutler.com it must be paying BTC too.
1045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do I find a Balance Here? on: November 27, 2023, 08:24:17 PM

if it doesn't affect your business as if you will earn less and are more likely to go bankrupt then long term it is. holding long-term is a sure way to win they say.
i would certainly weigh the risk like you just did. i would probably use the business to trade like accepting stablecoin when the BTC price is going down. and when i see the trend is about to change to bulls again, i will start accepting BTC.   Lips sealed

contributing to the increase of BTC adoption is very virtuous.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: November 27, 2023, 07:53:45 PM
not all Americans really. you still can see the majority are good people. didn't they respect the elderly, look at Biden.

like every election, each partey has to fight to keep their position, you can't just expect Biden or his party to just accept loss.
a week is only what Biden needs to win votes and beat Trump by a mile while Trump has to go through all the obstacles to be able to avoid incarceration.  this is why if Trump has to get it done, he has to double time or all his stunts will just be wasted.

1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: November 27, 2023, 07:33:20 PM
lol Dana in the hospital?

Bellator + PFL and then NGannou vs Paul seem like a ticket-sold-out scenario in minutes. as hilarious as it may seem, this is the kind of match that makes money.
we all know UFC is always been the top promotion but with the rise of PFL and Ngannou promoting his fight that is making trends, it definitely shifted some poles.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 27, 2023, 07:23:05 PM
I think Dana will never do cross promotion fights. UFC has been in business for tens years, and Dana only allowed Chuck Liddell to fight in Pride once (other promotion), Conor McGregor to have a boxing fight against Mayweather (boxer), James Toney (boxer) to fight against Randy Couture under mma rules and wrestler (the one that is a fake theatre) CM Punk fought 2 times unsuccessfully in UFC. That is it. Only 5 unusual behaviour or allowance from Dana during whole UFC life.

he must have given them the chance because he is also gaining those matches. i have yet not noticed UFC politics during those days but i think Dana was more confidence in the fighters that he allowed to do cross.

but obviously, Dana also has favoritism among the fighters that he wants to make it to the top. the ones who kiss his ass often get multiple title shots in the same weight class but not even fighting to earn his next title shot.

1050  Economy / Economics / Re: strange indicators to know economy is bad on: November 27, 2023, 07:04:46 PM
we know the economy is bad when gas prices have already gone up and all the rest of the stuff we usually buy in the grocery store is up 15%. and because your salary is just what it was the last 2 years, your situation is just as bad as the rest of us. we are in a recession. one reason more economists wanna be think we are in a recession is because we hear it on the news too.

but here are indicators to confirm we really are in an economic downturn.

1. butter popcorn index - people go to movies regardless of how bad the movie is. they just go see movies to just get away from their problems. but when the economy is bad, just sit and watch netflix.

2. diaper rash - parents wouldn't mind if their kid's diapers are already full during an economic crisis and are not neglectful when it comes to the diaper turning yellow during an economic upturn.

3. plastic surgery index - plastic surgery index is generally down during rough times as women wouldn't mind how small their boobs are than when the economy is booming.

4. lipstick index -  women wouldn't spend much on expensive lipsticks so sales are gonna be bad for lipsticks compared to the times when economy is great.

5. japanese haircut index - during a good economy, more people in japan will take care of themselves and get their looks neat and they're not doing this during bad times. women don't go to beauty parlors.

6. bike fatality index - during an economic crisis, people use bikes often or can't afford cars so more bike accidents happen.

7. men underwear index - men especially singles don't mind wearing underwear with a couple of holes in it, no one sees it anyway. men buy less underwear during economic downturns.

8. garbage index - less garbage because people buy less when the economy is bad and buy more when times are good so more garbage everywhere.

9. unclaimed body index - during a bad economy, dead people are not claimed in the morgue. horrible index to look at how bad the economy is.
i'm sure people take care of their family when they die. can't believe this is happening.

i'm sure there are some more, there is also a "beer index" where people prefer to just buy 6 packs and go drink at home rather than a bar.
a few months ago, i bought my kid a secondhand laptop rather than a new one because it's expensive, i think this is also an indicator. and i know he'd break it sooner.

Quite debatable arguments Smiley To be more precise - according to this scheme, almost any indicator can be associated with a bad economy or... on the contrary, with good trends.

For example, I will paraphrase some of your indicators Smiley
1. buttered popcorn index - people go to the movies no matter how bad it is. they just go to the movies to take their minds off their problems. but when the economy is bad, just sit back and watch Netflix.
No. It's a good indicator - people are able to buy Netflix service, have their own comfortable homes and quality TV, which is more comfortable to watch sitting in a warm robe on a comfy couch Smiley

2. plastic surgery index. The plastic surgery index usually goes down during hard times because women don't pay attention to how small their breasts are than during an economic boom.
No. The standard of living is good and women's health is higher, they don't need to unnaturally correct their bodies as they have proper nutrition, good medicine, healthy diet.

3- Lipstick index: women will not spend much money on expensive lipsticks, so lipstick sales will be poor compared to the time when savings are high.
No. In some countries, with a high standard of living, I have observed that women consider themselves naturally beautiful, and do not seek to beautify themselves with excessive makeup.

4. Bicycle fatality index - during economic crisis, people often use bicycles or can't afford cars, so more bicycle accidents occur.
No. it's just that people prioritize environmental friendliness and healthy lifestyles by bicycling. That said, high accident rates can only be attributed to low levels of responsibility and not following the rules of the road.

5. Men's underwear index - men, especially single men, don't mind wearing underwear with a couple holes in it, no one can see it anyway. men buy less underwear during economic downturns.
No. It's more of a personal hygiene and unkemptness issue since underwear is not expensive

6. Garbage Index - less garbage because people buy less when the economy is bad and buy more when times are good, so there is more garbage everywhere.
No. Less waste means people are more careful with products, not to save money, but to overcome "consumer addiction", so the standard of living and consciousness is higher.

netflix is just a new platform. the popcorn index must have been created long before Netflix arrived. mostly are debatable but it's all really connected to how much money the people have in their accounts. like you wouldn't really risk yourself riding your bike at night when you could be safer and comfortable with your sedan. but because saving for gas makes sense when a person is jobless due to mass layoff, he'd likely use his bro's bike.

but they are all associated with the bad economy like the Luxury watch index where Rolex sales drive up especially when professionals earn their bonuses.
1051  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 26, 2023, 09:12:17 PM
I think that thinking, effort, and personal initiative will be important ingredients to have luck and success in work. It doesn't mean achieving financial freedom early, but it will probably increase your odds of achieving financial freedom. There are very young people 20-30 who have achieved financial freedom, and there are also people over 40 who have just achieved financial freedom. As long as we are independent and try our best in everything, financial expectations will come. Family is also an important factor for financial freedom. I notice some people when they get married - they have more conditions and start businesses and achieve financial freedom. Some people are the opposite. Financial freedom is something that is not easy to achieve. It comes with an element called luck. I also expect to achieve financial freedom at age 32 Smiley
Every man on earth has her own set goals and a time frame they're working with, financial stability age depends on your own personal goal but for me the earlier the age, the better because if the time frame set only gives room for less chance of maximization and expansion, then it is a wrong decision. Early age of financial stability helps one to discover more hidden abilities and even go extra mile in doing more exploit, yes there'll be lots of years ahead to live and as these years pass, so does living and everything in it gets tough and cost effective more, we need to always blend in too every new cost development in order not to be caught struggling while pushing through life.
The 20's of a man should be a period of breaking bounds and making waves, laying solid foundations and building strong bedrocks to make room for better feats and reduce the struggle in his 30's. It takes a set goal, determination, years of hard work to be stable, so it's really best the struggle to financial stability begins now to avoid pitiful circumstances.

some people will not do their best to be financially stable until they have responsibilities. call it inspiration but some people will not work not find ways to make money when there is no need for them to earn.

when there is nothing that forces someone to find a job, they will just be with their friends partying and smoking up til their youth is over. some are worse especially when they impregnate their girlfriend, they instead run. no reason to be financially independent for those guys.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: November 26, 2023, 09:01:45 PM
Always do your research, even if you get some hints/suggestions. The current trend is the recovery of the status of bitcoin, altcoins will also be in line with demand diversity next reaction. SOV is a coin that is tending to mature faster, more relevant and compatible with market needs. It's still cheap compared to the valuation. So I think it's a good place to look for profit

saw this SOV before it went $80 during its launch but also took a dive down to $0.18 which is the lowest of its price. imagine how crazy altcoins are during a bear market, it's not a walk in the park waiting for the price to go up. the ones who believed in this coin while at ATH, had really been disappointed. yet again.

this coin coming back to life, no new developments and things to begin as if there is a catalyst for it to blow up. an investor should run away from this coin.
1053  Economy / Economics / Re: Economists advise caution in trading in Bitcoin currency on: November 26, 2023, 08:43:52 PM

he fears that he may not be able to make money if everyone sells while he bought the BTC at a high price. economist wants the price to be stable like it's a controlled market. so yeah it's understandable that economists are afraid. investors losing money after investing in an asset they think would make them profit is a disaster. but this is if they think about the value in USD but if they think about how much satoshi they hold still, nothing is lost but the value in USD.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 26, 2023, 08:02:10 PM

the ultimate data to see how good you are is if you've made money out of that 60% rate. doubling your money after just 5 bets, i guess that is already good enough.
i see gamblers putting the same amount of money on all 3 bets with odds 1.10 and if two won and one lost, no profits are made.

easy to win when you bet on fave team. in soccer or in football the favorite team doesn't really win all the time, making sports betting actually hard.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 26, 2023, 07:17:16 PM
Guys, I want to discuss or here your thought on how UFC has changed over last 5 years probably. Here are the things that have changed or I dont like:

1) In the past, all divisions have enough fighters or challengers. Now what we have, fighters fight against each other for 3-4 times
2) Or are so dominant in their division, that they move to other
3) A lot of fighters wish to move or try boxing. Mostly because of high payment there and low payment in UFC.
4) Fighters complain about who they fight. They choose who they fight. Previously, if UFC says fighter gonna fight Godzilla, he will fight if Godzilla makes the weight.

5-10 years ago I would even imagine that for example Chuck Liddell would challenge Brock Lesnar and complain that he earns low.

i think in the past there were complains about how low the pay White gives. they are just not very vocal anymore.

they need the cross with others say PFL vs UFC in order for this sport to have something new like unification. BMF title fight has to be cross-promotion so that the baddest in Bellator or PFL can be mandated to fight the BMF in UFC.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy with unusual/strange gambling sites on: November 26, 2023, 06:51:56 PM
It's really careless and how could you be tempted by a gambling site where the gambling platform is not clear.
And here I also can't stop thinking about the tests you carry out to find out whether the gambling site is truly safe, behaves fairly and is responsible for its visitors. How could you test it just by doing this?

to give this a try yesterday because it is a chance-based (online) gambling.
At the level of funding my bet wallet account, I requested to fund with $50 I rethink that $5 would be better as test run in building my trust since it was an unusual/strange bet sites.
I successfully funded my bet wallet, checked on the withdrawal section If there would be an access deny for withdrawal and luckily $5 is the minimum withdrawal rate which I proceeded and was successful. Then I refilled my wallet again and placed my bet.
As the game Kickstarted, I got chances to cash out while the value of my withdrawal fluctuates UPs and DOWNs and I had to place my withdrawal and made a cash out of $6  from a $5  bet.
At this time of a test run and trust level is worthy, I think I can proceed and place a higher amount of bet

Because gambling sites that are fraudulent also have a system and rules to deceive their customers, it is impossible for them to cheat visitors who are playing on their site for the first time and even more so if the visitor only makes a small deposit. And when the visitor gets a small win, it will definitely be given because this amount can still be borne by the gambling party and the other aim is to create a sense of trust in the visitor towards the gambling site... so that the visitor will give the impression that the gambling platform is indeed safe and can behave. fair. However, when the visitor has made a high deposit or the visitor gets a high win, then that is where the fraudulent gambling platform will act by blocking the user's account.

So this is where we need to be careful in choosing and sorting out the gambling sites that we will visit, assuming that the gambling sites that you encounter are quite foreign to your ears, then that alone should be enough of a warning so that you don't visit those gambling sites.

there are many of them with the minimum amount to withdraw but i would rather be betting on a platform known to the users in this forum than somewhere new regardless of how small the amount is than regretting i can't withdraw them anymore.

let's say you win big in that platform and they suddenly say you are to submit KYC and then invalidate your documents. that would be another case where you just exposed yourself to a platform.

1057  Economy / Economics / Re: You are the product. Corporations spying on us deeper than we thought? on: November 26, 2023, 05:12:06 PM
i'm not sure if they are only listening. i noticed that even the things i was thinking. not even say a word about something that i was thinking yet the ads appeared as if they knew what i was thinking. believe it or not. it's happening!   stop memorizing your seed phrase!  Grin

really crazy i was just thinking of buying a saw that i will cut the branches that overshadow the house roof. so i was looking at the branches and when i got inside to once again check my Facebook, the ads about this kind of saw appeared.
1058  Economy / Economics / Re: strange indicators to know economy is bad on: November 26, 2023, 05:00:21 PM
The number of overqualified job applications, in Turkish lands for example where the country has been in a perpetual state of high unemployment and high inflation since the last 20 years,

10,000 college graduates will apply to even the most basic jobs with minimum wage or just marginally above minimal wage;

also most of these people are not doing the jobs they studied for in college, teachers becoming police officers, public administration graduates becoming cleaning staff, etc.

It's also what is happening in my country. there are hundreds to thousands of nurse/engineering graduates only to find themselves working for BPO companies. it must be for the reason they won't be idled. parents must have accepted this already and find nothing wrong with being under-employed when there are just a few companies in our country. these graduates are hired more in the Middle East though. there is no recession in that region, the oil kept the economy alive.

underemployment is another indicator. they would rather just fill the vacant position despite skills not fitting the job description.
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: November 25, 2023, 09:40:25 PM
Physical and online wallet founders/makers will be laugh after reading this thread lol, most of the comments on this thread are correct.
Gambling site is the place for us to gamble not saving nor hiding our precious crypto, if I have to choose where to hiding the crypto from my wife then I will choose a trusted exchange than a casino.
Even if we are not a gambler, our degen soul inside might not able to resist the temptation to place bets with those balance.

Also dont forget about the tax, crypto gambling tax is not cheap on certain countries. So it might work for you and some people but not for all.
Well, the bigger the money is - the more we care about the security of our precious.

By the way, if we keep on mind that both gaming platforms and exchanges are centralized and custodial services, some people may argue there is no much difference between keeping one's funds in a casino or an exchange. In either case we do not have a complete control over our money.

Also, I know exactly what you mean when you talk about someone feeling the temptation to gamble money they are not supposed to. It is something which is common to happen, specially to people of this forum who receive campaign payments directly to their casino accounts. I have read about unlucky users lossing their payment completely because the urge you talk about.

i still have some funds in sportsbet for a while already. i was just looking for a match in sports that is worth betting so it's been there like stored for several months already i say i fought the temptation but maybe because i'm more off into sports than chasing my luck with casino games. the ones with the urge and store their coins are likely going to push the button especially when they think the luck is with them that very day.

still storing in casino is worse than one could decide, its not even meant for storing but because there's a wallet, its somehow convenient ffor gamblers.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: November 25, 2023, 09:07:16 PM

this is a long thread already and was created months ago. if he still has those altcoins that are so much unknown he would have sold them already but if not then it's best to just have it in BTC for it has a lot of chance of going up than remain as is.

it's a wonder how he even heard of these tokens and decided to buy them. but once the BTC goes sideways, altcoins like these are the first to take a nose dive.
