1041  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Trends Among Beginner Traders on: January 12, 2024, 05:59:23 PM
That's common, maybe they're just making some posts for them to show to their future audience that they can use it to increase their following. This is known for these days and when the market is on the bull run, you expect more of them to come and that's a just another normal day in the market. There is no way to stop them if they keep on doing that but they know what's the reality of what they are doing. I am for that to say that they should stop doing it, stop giving advise when they don't actually trade.
Like you said there's no way to stop them since most of the cryptocurrency enthusiasts these days are also after hype messages and i believe the people OP pointed out are just giving naive crypto investors/traders a taste of their medicine because most of them are only after quick profit.

Getting more followers is just one of the purposes of these so-called influencers while their main purpose is to hype their shady bag, do promotion posts for partnership projects, etc.
Yeah, that's all about the potential money that they're going to milk from their possible sponsors and brand deals. There is nothing new with them. But what we need to do is to educate the people that we know or some random newbies and always make them aware of these things that are happening. And keep them reminded that most of the influencers aren't good with that title that they have but still, their grit and hard work to gain that much followers is recognizable.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or altcoin on: January 12, 2024, 05:20:08 PM
BTC can't do 100x or 1000x anymore.
Technically, that's true because Bitcoin is done with that and we might just get a one-digit gain but with its price now, that's still a lot.

ALT can. But which one?  Grin
This is why many are hunting for the new projects and most of them are meme coins that could get that much gain. But be careful with that, I'll still go with Bitcoin in terms of gains.

1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 12, 2024, 04:17:37 PM
I was just asking this and have it on the other thread. So there have been bunch of ETH spot ETF applications already, I think that we're going to see the same vibe on how BTC's was approved.
The policy when working with regulators in the Ethereum ecosystem should suit everyone. White and black lists, blocking in smart contracts and a large number of level 2 solutions and even level 3 solutions will make Ethereum the main coin in the future.
This ecosystem has all the famous stablecoins and huge trading volumes.
That makes sense while there are a lot of competitors or let's say these competitors were also once part of the Ethereum ecosystem.
It's still the most sought-after network for smart contracts and most of the projects. It's also moving forward if many or even some of these eth etf spot applications will be approved soon.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about TON? on: January 12, 2024, 03:05:57 PM
It's not that far from its ATH but I don't have anything to say whether I'd advise anyone to buy it or not because I don't even have it. But based from the chart of it, it's interesting IMO and I can say that if I get in, I'm not late. And the question lies if the recover of it might happen soon since it's just half from its past ATH.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved, next Ethereum ETF? on: January 12, 2024, 03:50:14 AM
I think that it will take time, I've just realized that it was since 2013 when the first Bitcoin ETF was filed and then series of came on 2017 and so those rejections that came from there was modified to these recent Bitcoin spot efs that have been approved. Is there anyone knows if there was an ETH ETF that was/were filed before? If so, there's a chance that it has already been modified if it were rejected before but I can't remember if there's one so it's likely the first time, right?
As things are happening most chances we will have no late tactics in ETH ETF case because now people's in power they can't resist against this all, and now it's better time to have things on positive way so now after Bitcoin ETF most chances we will have more good news for the crypto community and with this all most wanted figure can also touch bitcoin because this is big breakthrough for this community and peoples related to this business.

While I was searching for few things I have this article which is clearly saying now in coming months we will have ETH ETF which can bring big boom even may be this all trap, but now things are not stoppable.
https://www.theblock.co/post/271874/ethereum-etf-approval-may-ether-price-surge
It can be a trap and a drop or some blessing in the future. But we're still quite far from going into it. As for now, we're good with the BTC spot ETF and we've already seen the effect of it with the market, it's always like that Bitcoin is bringing up the entire market and everything follows.
While some speculators think that these altcoins can bring themselves up not knowing that it's Btc that's always the initiator and indicator of this market.

While ETH is pumping, this thread should be flocked by most of those that are happy seeing it go up. But it seems that there's not that much on this thread but good to see that zasad is keeping up and have been an active contributor to this thread. Keep it up, mate.

https://coinmarketcap.com/community/articles/659f86306d8fb40ed08a18e0/
"Eric Balchunas has predicted a 70% chance of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approving an Ethereum spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) in May. The SEC has multiple Ethereum spot ETF applications to review by the end of May, including those from VanEck, Ark 21Shares, and Hashdex. While digital asset lawyer Joe Carlasare believes an Ethereum spot ETF will be approved this year, he cautions that the approval process may take longer than some investors expect. As the cryptocurrency industry continues to mature and gain regulatory acceptance, the approval of Ethereum spot ETFs could potentially open up new investment opportunities for institutional Investors."

Ethereum has a good chance. The reason is in this post:

Expand your network, you're in the pharma industry? You have to be friends with all of them as much as you can because that's how you're going to make use of each of them. When you don't know any on this industry, you're like a lone survivor in the desert. Big money is in the pharma and they seem to be easy to go into the market because it is everybody's need. You just have to be a good salesman to each of your network and be friends to all of them even if you think that they suck especially the big companies.

1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: January 11, 2024, 10:15:55 PM
You are doubled sided. You are like this;

I don't trust new projects with inexperienced teams. I've been burned by several solid projects with new teams that couldn't deliver on their promises.

Then turned to this.

Recently, I came across an airdrop for an upcoming meme project called [...]
Website and Whitepaper link are below:[...]

That contradicts to what you are saying but I know that you are trying to shill or advertise that. But let's talk in general about meme coins, some may be worthy to invest still but define what's worth for you. Because for me, it is not worth it when I am already late on that part of meme coins. Missed all of these runs and completely slack about it.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next better altcoin? on: January 11, 2024, 09:42:19 PM
You are dealing about your future then just be like the passive investor without having to go through with the new tokens that are being launched everyday. One solution that you can do is to buy Bitcoin. That's hassle free and you don't have to be problematic to chase all of those new projects that you don't even know if they're going to perform well and that's why it is all that you need to do and choose. While many keep on chasing the new tokens and that's fine and the reward is on them but it's not that rewarding at all times.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HELP - transaction from crypto.com to ledger on: January 11, 2024, 09:16:34 PM
More or less. I see my cryptos on metamask, but I'm unable to send them to my ledger. I have an "unknow error" when I do the transaction.
I guess that you need to have some gas fee in order for you to transfer that. I just had to go through this thread quickly and see how did it started. If the mainnet where you've sent it is cro then you need a cro balance as gas fee for you to transfer it on your ledger. That's the last move I guess that you need to go on for this transaction for you to do it successful land on your hardware wallet.
1053  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Step you have to take before venturing into the market on: January 11, 2024, 08:41:09 PM
Many investors or traders don't plan their exit points. It doesn't have to be an actual and full exit to the market but you set when you're going to take profits. Maybe you forget someday that you're here for taking profits in the market and because you're greedy enough, you are entirely doing the whole thing very wrongly. So, if these tips will make someone remember on how it should go for a trader, you need to set your points of getting in and out every time you plan to trade.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: January 11, 2024, 08:11:49 PM
People might just go back on this thread and say that OP has probably earned more with the x100000 meme/shit coins or any altcoin.
But you don't have the same risk appetite as OP guys. Choosing 1 BTC and 1 ETH is one of the best decisions that he can make or even 0.5 for each of them is already a genius move. What matters is that, with these choices, someone can sleep at night without even monitoring the prices whether it is on dawn, day or night.
Deciding between 1 BTC or 1 ETH, or having both, is a very very worthy choices.
Choosing for 1 BTC and 1 ETH is considered one of the best decisions one can make, but we should maintain control and self-custody over them. This approach minimizes risks, allowing us to hold onto these assets for the long term. In contrast, investing in meme/shit coins or other altcoins carries the risk of their value dropping to zero. To simplify, the choice is between 1 BTC/ETH, and once decided, it's best to hold and forget.
That's even the end goal of most investors that don't have that much. To own and hold 1 BTC and even 1 ETH, some may think that they can avail that but the point is, not everyone can avail that and we're in different parts of the world. Especially the people that are not from first world countries, the value of these two are already that much for them and they need to work hard for them to be able to purchase and save this much money.

1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look out for a good Altcoin and buy now! on: January 11, 2024, 12:43:52 PM
Bitcoin ETF has been approved which is a good new for other Altcoin as well. As we all know, since Bitcoin is the pioneer of cryptocurrencies if there is a significant increase in the price of Bitcoin it will also affect the price of other cryptocurrencies. For instance if by the end of the year Bitcoin hit the target of $100k definelty other altcoins will experince a huge increase in their price. Bitcoin bull run is as well altcoin bull run.

My candid advises to people who do not have the opportunity to buy bitcoin, is to find an altcoin that they can buy and hodl. If it is difficult to know which altcoin to buy, then I'll just list a few here i think i can spend some bucks on. They include Solana, Ethereum, BnB and Doge.

Let's put some effort and hope for the best to happen.
I have Ethereum and BNB, both are not that much but I am moving forward to at least get the maximum profit that I can get with them. I can say that as of the moment, I am in profit with both of them and that makes me good already whatever happens. But as we know the market, there's still a long way to go and there is that much potential to see that it is going to soar just as the king of this market. I am trying to be the most patient person and if there are disappointing moments, I am just moving on.
1057  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you ready for crypto investing in 2024? on: January 11, 2024, 11:55:54 AM
SEC approved Bitcoin spot etf and that's what is for everyone this 2024. It took a long time before it has been recognized and have got this ETF.
Now, you have to realize that if you've been holding for a long time, it's not wasted instead it is worth it because there's more to come. Remember that we're not yet on the halving and that's another factor that shall push the prices up, as of the moment, the alts are moving or it is ETH only that's benefiting on this because that's the next possible thing, an ETH ETF.

Definitely, those of us who bought and hodl Bitcoin for a long interval now will be at the forefront after the halving and it is important not to sell off ones coin now as greater incentives awaits in the near future.
If you are happy to sell now, it's not a problem as long as you are satisfied and you are in profit. That's all that matters when you're in profit but if you're at a loss, it is a mistake. Many are panic selling thinking that they'll be missing out the party when they only see the dropdown of the market. Many are like that, a few correction that they see and they will panic. IMO, that's normal for the newbies but if you've been here for so long, you should get used to it.

Talking about ETH ETF, it might really be obtainable since it's the second most recognized cryptocurrency.
That's very possible but we have to wait.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Master node Experience - worth it? on: January 11, 2024, 10:54:52 AM
Instead of going with masternodes, there goes the staking(PoS) from different projects and that's much better if you'd ask me if you want some passive income. And the gains won't that be much for the good ones but still a passive thing, right?

I realize I'm not going to make a fortune with this, but I just like to tinker. I just haven't really got into the proof of stake stuff much. I do hodl some, but I'm more hopelessly obsessed with mining and PoW coins. I've been reading about this for a few days now, and I'm in. I will document my journey though. Will post it in a different thread, but I'll link to it here.

Thanks for your input, everyone.
Good luck to your journey but if you're into masternodes, like everyone is saying that they're no longer worth it anymore. It's not a problem if you get into PoW coins or the ones that you can mine, just keep on DYOR so that you're aware if it's gonna be worth of your time or not.
As for the PoS, there are too many of them but the returns won't be that much if you're going to be with the known ones. That's how it goes the risk is lesser but the reward is quite less too.
1059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cointelegraph has the worst price analysis articles on: January 10, 2024, 11:57:31 PM
If it's from a news publication and media giving these analyses, expect that there will be sort of bias from them and that's why it is better not to rely on them.
By the chance that you also have other source of these analyses, then that's much preferable so that you can compare on how it goes from them to the other and then another one if it's possible. Don't settle for less since you're trading with your money until you're able to make your own analysis.
