1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which one will you choose? on: January 24, 2021, 01:32:05 PM
so in your opinion in the next 7 days, which price will increase very high? Ethereum or Polkadot?
With the current price and volatility of these two, ofc, it's ethereum. But why choose between them? Is there an option to choose them both? Dot has potentials considering it's just new but you can see it's now on #4 on cmc.

While you have ethereum it's a good and better choice if you also have DOT while its value is still at 17$
1062  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: POLKADOT - From out of nowhere to top 10 cryptocurrencies on: January 24, 2021, 12:26:59 PM

1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why government not take good step? on: January 24, 2021, 07:04:38 AM
I don't see a concrete reason why these countries are banning their countrymen from using Bitcoin or crypto in general.
Their word of mouth, is "bitcoin is used for drugs and illegal activities (use to support terrorism)", "decentralized nature", and "volatility" where in fact they're somewhat true.

But the question is why rich countries such US, Japan, and UK welcome bitcoin and other countries such nepal, china, bangladesh don't? I only guess is they only avoid responsibilities and the works behind it and ofc the control over any currency, which they can't on any existing cryptocurrency.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Electrum wallet with invalid bitcoin address on: January 23, 2021, 06:22:03 PM
If the address mentioned came from the new wallet you made (probably electrum ltc) and the error shows when you're going to send from the old wallet, I bet there's something wrong with the old version of ltc, download and install the new version of electrum ltc and import your seed/private key there, or copy the wallet file from the root folder of the old electrum ltc and paste it to the new one.
1065  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Question about MEW (Myetherwallet) on: January 23, 2021, 04:36:35 PM

1066  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I need help with my problem HitBtc my ticket 603788 on: January 23, 2021, 04:23:37 PM
Yes, decentralized coin should be exchange in decentralized platform too, I don't find any reason why decentralized coin should be traded in centralized exchanges since it's doesn't have any advantages on there (besides liquidity).
Liquidity sums it all and almost everyone uses centralized exchanges even a privy person. Plus DEXs are way too complicated, considering this experience of op who even still use hitbtc and others like him DEX is surely a pain in the ass (though there's time for learning).

If the main issue of using CEX is the control over your funds, you can use them for exchanging purposes only, not an alternative to wallets. Just use a trusted platform like most people do.
1067  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I need help with my problem HitBtc my ticket 603788 on: January 23, 2021, 03:37:23 PM
Sorry for the loss, there are already lots of complaints against this exchange even way back in 2019 you probably didn't hear about them before transferring funds to them. Surely a single search on google will give you a hint about them if you did.

Not only your money was taken but also both of the personal identity of yours and the seller, this is absurd.

This is why we should avoid centralized exchanges, because they can do whatever they want since they can control our money if you had funds to their websites.
You just can't tell anyone to avoid using something without even giving alternatives. Also, you mean everyone should avoid them as well?

1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why kids born in 2140 don`t get a chance to mine rewards? on: January 23, 2021, 03:11:43 PM
So far your question can be answered on many existing articles and by far answered already above posts.

2140 is the estimated year to stop mining bitcoin so mining rewards will be stopped. And who knows there will be some consensus made between those years and will change everything on bitcoin codes, but that's all what-ifs.

Probably plagiarism, just changed some words to its synonyms.

Putting an expiry date in currency notes will not be of too much help in to hold back the black money as the cash (currency notes) which is obtained by any person without declaring it to government is usually converted into other form by investing it in gold, precious stones, real estate, foreign currency, foreign investment and etc.

Printing of expiry date in currency notes will not be of too much help in curbing black money as the cash (currency notes) which is obtained by any person without declaring it to government is usually converted into other form by investing it in gold, precious stones, real estate, foreign currency, foreign investment, etc.
1070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How about a currency with expiry date...? on: January 23, 2021, 02:30:28 PM
Didn't heared such action in our country though there are some instances that old printed bills exchange to a new one especially if a new admin is seated but I guess this is common to any country as well, but not for such reason like op.

Whats the reason for such an immediate decision ?
The government stated it a reason to fight illegal funding to terrorism and recove the black money.
That won't prevent the use of black money and not too much help either imo, cash money can be obtained by anyone even without declaring it to the authority so it will be transferred person to person and that would be a pain in the ass to identify such money as black money so it makes no sense.

1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need help with Bitcoin Cash on: January 23, 2021, 11:08:42 AM
I wonder if OP successfully fetch all fork(shit) coins he has and rewarded the one who helped him 🤔
1072  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PayPal Fake 5.000 BTC Giveaway Airdrop in Youtube on: January 23, 2021, 04:28:50 AM
What search keywords did you use to find this vid? It was published 2 weeks ago and barely with just 20+ views.

Reported it, hoping youtube do their job against such frauds.
1073  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit mayroon akong Bitcoin on: January 22, 2021, 04:41:34 PM
It will always depende on the wallet na gagamitin mo.
I say it will always depends on the user, bakit? kase sabi nga "be your own bank" this is a big responsibility since ikaw mismo responsible sa pera/bitcoin mo how to make it safe as if everything to make it safe, example against magnanakaw, pests, ma basa or kalawang, any kind of disaters at etc.

Even it's easy to say pero mahirap yan kaya nga nag exist ang banks para gawin ang easy na task na ito "keeping your funds safe" at may maraming perks pa like interests, loans at etc.

Kaya din ang daming tao parin ang gumagamit ng banko since hundred years til now kase di nila ma take ang responsibilities to make their money safe from those na na'mention.

So kapag tayo ang mag sisilbing bank ng sarili nating pera then it should be with responsibility, from kind of device to wallet, updates ng wallet software, transfers at pag receive ng funds should always be careful kase isang mali lang maaring ma wala ang funds na gusto mong i'send o receive, ma save at serve as your retirement/future investment.
1074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it just the starting of fueling Bitcoin for riding to moon? on: January 22, 2021, 03:25:24 PM
Bitcoin has almost already decreased below $31000 before Microstrategy pumped in $10 million which amounts to 314 btc, this really helped bitcoin price to increase
I feel like that the bought 314 amount isn't the reason why bitcoin increased from 28k as the lowest correction since 37k a few days ago, but instead the news about this and the hype and saying, "if big businesses bought bitcoin at such price why should I not? In which these businesses have financial advisors and experts talking to buy this and gain moore"
1075  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Faketoshi CSW vs Cøbra Bitcoin on: January 22, 2021, 02:45:31 PM
I think CSW is just a part of bigger picture attack on Bitcoin, and even if everyone knows he is not the real Satoshi, he can be used in future for various manipulations.

Many websites, including Jameson Lopp website posted Bitcoin whitepaper on their website after this action from CSW lawyers:
Quote
I've hosted the Bitcoin whitepaper for years. I eagerly await my lawsuit. The fraud who does not deserve to be named can't sue us all.
https://twitter.com/lopp/status/1352198321813803010

MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor posted Bitcoin whitepaper on his websites, Square Crypto, SkyBridge Capital. Blockstream, Fidelity Digital Assets uploaded whitepaper and many other websites.

This is the right attitude Smiley
Now, this is a strong move against a clown and a fraud in this community, next thing should be (and hoping) crypto exchanges hosting bitcoin whitepaper and delist this shitcoin make this fraud cry.
1076  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Send to my BTC balance option isn’t working on yobit? on: January 22, 2021, 01:49:38 PM
Hi I am new here. Please pardon my mistakes. I want to know that send to my BTC balance option Isn't working on my account since almost 15days. Is it happening only with me or it is normal? Please do reply or show me my mistakes. Embarrassed Thanks.
If it's yobit related issue, then there's no one here that can help you since the yobit rep here isn't active anymore. You can message your issue by contacting them via their social media accounts, their support email, also on cryptotalk.org, the forum made by their team.

But I tell you opening support ticket with them takes time to get a respond as they have very bad customer support, who knows if they have changed and improved this year.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need help with Bitcoin Cash on: January 21, 2021, 11:48:18 PM
I didn't find where I can get SEED phrase in Bitcoin.
Yes, core doent support seed phrase after all.

For now, I just dumped private key in text... what should I do next?
Follow my above post. Quote it for you.

[...] and import the private key to supported wallet of BCH like coinomi or Electron Cash. But make sure you transfer your bitcoin first to your new wallet for security reasons and save all necessary backups offline of that new wallet.

Getting fork coins.
Here's another tutorial (by bitmover) for using coinomi wallet. Skip step 3 since you will get your private key on core (steps below), on step 4 just paste your private key on coinomi.

Anyways, you can pm loyce and he can help you anything with that.
1078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Up and Down how on: January 21, 2021, 04:45:29 PM
The questions aren't really expected from a Hero Member.
Especially from an old-timer user/account which was registered in the old days of this forum.

Since there are already enough answers for you, maybe you should get it now. Also, you will probably know if there's a middle man between every transfer unless the receiver and sender do so.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need help with Bitcoin Cash on: January 21, 2021, 04:23:35 PM
You can export your private key of that particular wallet address on bitcoin core and import the private key to supported wallet of BCH like coinomi or Electron Cash. But make sure you transfer your bitcoin first to your new wallet for security reasons and save all necessary backups offline of that new wallet.

You can read more on how to do get fork coins on this tutorial made by loycev.

Here's another tutorial (by bitmover) for using coinomi wallet. Skip step 3 since you will get your private key on core (steps below), on step 4 just paste your private key on coinomi.

Here's how you can export your private key on core

“To export a private key from your Bitcoin-Qt / Bitcoin Core client:
Launch your Bitcoin client
Click on 'help' in the menu bar (top right)
Click on 'debug window'
Select the 'console' tab
If your wallet is protected by a passphrase (i.e. you have to enter a passphrase before you can send) unlock it by typing

walletpassphrase "your walletpassphrase here" 600
dumpprivkey [your Bitcoin address here]
This will return the private key which will start with the number 5

Once you have your private key if you had to unlock your wallet you can relock it by exiting or typing:

walletlock”
1080  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.com compromised by blcokchain.cm on: January 19, 2021, 11:33:00 AM
You mean you have tried to login your blockchain.com account on blcokchain.cm? I don't know how you access the site, I can't  access it though. If your wallet is now zero balance and there's an unknown transaction, then most probably your account is compromised, not the website itself.
