Double quoted, also to add BitEscrow reported it to moderators wanting it removed as "personal information".

You're thanking the wrong person.

You call it FUD, I call it his opinion, which he's entitled to. And being an asshole isn't an actionable offense, or I would have been banned a long time ago.

And if those had been the only posts you made, I'd be inclined to agree they weren't spam, but they weren't. You can't remove the context of you spamming a bunch of different threads, then claim that a particular post isn't spam just because it might be relevant. It's still spam.

1164  Other / Meta / Re: Constant Harrasment By BitcoinEXpress - I am Leaving this site because of it! on: March 23, 2014, 12:50:09 AM
Uh no, most of the threads you posted in were people talking about mining. "Hey guys save some of those and come to x website" isn't relevant just because it's about the same coin.
1165  Other / Meta / Re: Constant Harrasment By BitcoinEXpress - I am Leaving this site because of it! on: March 23, 2014, 12:44:41 AM
You were spamming links to some altcoin gambling site, knock it off.
1166  Other / Meta / Re: could we move shares to a own section? on: March 22, 2014, 05:26:46 AM
Sounds like you're talking about threads that should be in securities. Shares in a mining program?
1167  Other / Meta / Re: Why Is My IP banned on: March 21, 2014, 01:41:03 PM
Account name?
1168  Other / Meta / Re: The new kind of spam on: March 21, 2014, 12:45:03 PM
The post he linked to was deleted, the link is just taking you guys to the top of the thread instead.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *WARNING* Mods Have Banned EDISONX3 During Its Launch ** OFFICIAL STATEMENT ** on: March 21, 2014, 08:46:18 AM
I think the problem is this statement:

Quote
RULES: 10 EDISON coins per (1) bitcointalk username that posts (twitter status and wallet address in this thread)

This. Funny how they neglected to mention that.  Roll Eyes

And no warning? There's been a sticky specifically about this kind of thing for almost two months now. If you choose to not educate yourself on the rules of the forum then that's your problem. Stopping the launch also isn't my problem, if being banned from this forum and having the thread locked is so detrimental to the launch of your coin, then one would think you would take more care to be aware of the very few rules here. I mean damn, it's not like there are huge law books with annotations and codes you need to follow.

Okay I get that, but a simple message saying "hey bud, you f*$K*D up, I'll give you one warning: fix the OP."

Then it would have given me a second look at it and realized there was that little misprint. OP needed some updating with links & couldn't finalize it in time.
Clearly you see the post about twitter being the place of organization so the posting of address was NOT the INTENTION here, since we know the rules.

We all make mistakes and we made a mistake with one word.  Can you please unlock the thread and unban the account since I acknowledged what had happened and you can see that our intention was clean to begin with? I look forward to your response.

Not only is that a no, I locked the new thread and banned that account too. Zero tolerance for this.
If you have a giveaway in your thread you will be banned and thread locked, no ifs, ands, or buts.

1170  Other / Meta / Re: Unban Request (Since Theymos doesn't reply to appeal emails) on: March 21, 2014, 07:03:57 AM
I know it won't cause you and all your accounts are banned. Screw off spammer.
1171  Other / Meta / Re: Unban Request (Since Theymos doesn't reply to appeal emails) on: March 21, 2014, 06:58:02 AM
You were deleting your posts, and reposting them in order to get around the 24 hour bump guidelines. You'll have to try harder than that, we aren't dumb.
1172  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: March 21, 2014, 06:25:38 AM
I don't think the problem is so much the newbie restrictions being lifted. The latest iteration of the newbie restrictions wasn't even that restrictive, you merely had to wait 4 hours. No need to be logged in for 4 hours, just wait. It certainly doesn't help, but I think the major contributing factor was the addition of child boards for alt currencies. It greatly increased the amount of moderation necessary for the forum as a whole, yet the moderation team hasn't increased at all, besides one more promotion (malevolent). Never in my years of being a moderator here has so much of my time been spent merely reacting to reports. Imagine what a mess your local club would be if every time there was a drunk that needed to be booted, trash that needed to be cleaned up, etc, someone had to go and ask a bouncer for it. Much cleaner when they actually have time to walk around and spot problems themselves.

Before, we had a very appropriately sized, competent moderation team. Now that we have to clean up after all the trash and spammers in alt currencies there's barely any time to look after the rest of the forum, and the reports page is constantly flooded with reports coming from there as well, so legitimate reports from the rest of the forum take longer to get to as well. Also the fact that around the same time as alt currencies getting new child boards, the alt currencies mod was promoted to global, so his duties get diluted among the rest of the forum as well.

Getting more moderators for alt currencies is going to be rife with problems as well, most of the folks there are just there to make a few bitcoins off the latest pump and dump, and will abuse the moderator position to that end. Most who was there legitimately has since left because of the flood of shit coming in.

A lot of bad decisions lately.

Banned.
1175  Other / Meta / Re: New rules and restrictions on: March 18, 2014, 11:59:18 AM
Usually it's hard to do with altcoin threads going around in the Beginners subforum. Are they even allowed there?

No.
So reporting them would be the best solution, am I wrong?

Yes, report any alt coin threads outside alt currencies, including beginners.  I see several types there that shouldn't be. Currency exchange, gambling, services. Report em all, don't let those mods start slacking.

This isn't directed at you, just a general PSA, when reporting miscategorized posts don't just say wrong forum as the reason if you can help it, because if it gets moved, but the report is still pending (which can happen), its a crap shoot whether it will be marked as bad or not.
1176  Other / Meta / Re: The cancer that is Ponzi on: March 17, 2014, 09:00:47 PM
99% of them are spammers as well, seems to be quite a large overlap, most have been banned for that.
1177  Other / Meta / Re: Does Mark Karpeles own this forum? on: March 16, 2014, 11:03:03 PM
No, he did host the forum on his servers for a short period of time, but it was moved a long time ago.
1178  Other / Meta / Re: Why this forum is not mobile friendly at all? on: March 16, 2014, 09:08:28 PM
It isn't that bad, only really annoying thing is that when composing a post, what you're typing isn't visible.
1179  Other / Meta / Re: STALKER: User zumzero. on: March 16, 2014, 03:58:17 PM
Oh more AM trash, never mind, thought you were serious. Troll on.

This dangerously deranged lunatic starts sending me creepy threatening messages with sexual innuendos, and your response is "use the ignore feature"?  Gah!
The d00d is a sick sexual deviant stalking me, PLEASE HALP!

Someone is sending you pms you don't want, and this is your answer to being told you can block the pms?
