1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayor Of Las Vegas wants the whole city open, including casinos and stadiums on: April 29, 2020, 12:09:36 PM
If this got through, we all could say that this is one of the worst mayors I've ever known. It is true that the economy and the people will be affected but that doesn't mean that we should focus on the economy since, with the people in there, they could just get that back after some time. Either way, Nevada is known for gambling, they could just restart after this pandemic since it will not be a problem after this. People would be flooding the casinos, she should focus on the people more rather than on their economy.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: April 28, 2020, 11:33:46 PM
It's very impressive for some people to recover on their own from gambling addiction.

To be honest, it is not that easy. I've been through a lot and with years and years of trying, I am still not that perfectly cured of addiction. I am still gambling and even though I have those times that I can still control myself, there are still those times that I can't. My will is not that strong, luckily this ECQ held myself from gambling continuously as I can understand myself much more.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream for bitcoin on: April 25, 2020, 10:58:06 PM
It is bad to have that dream but the reality is such a harsh and brutal truth.

1 . BTC will be the primary money all over the world all the currency will be just secondary

It will never be the primary money of the world nor countries as bitcoin is decentralized and volatile. I think we will be seeing digital currencies of the fiat we are using in the future but I don't think it will be bitcoin.

2. All the world currency will be exchange to bitcoin slowly until its all illiminated

It is the opposite and it is happening right now except for the last part. A lot of countries do accept bitcoin and you could exchange them to any fiats that you want unless they are banned in your country. Fiat will never be eliminated.

3. Altcoins will be use for very country and bitcoin as its Superior

As I said it might be a digital form of the fiat that we are using but altcoins will stay as altcoins. It will stay as the alternative coin for bitcoin which have a higher possibility of dying before bitcoin.
1164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Covid-19 a cause for BTC price drops? on: April 25, 2020, 12:49:23 AM
Although Halving has come close, it seems that there is no optimistic signal that BTC will rise. Currently Corona Virus is making it difficult for the leading economies in the world. And is that the main cause of Bitcoin price drops? Let me give you some possibilities
1. Unemployed people do not have income so they do not dare to invest in Cryptocurrency.
2. The psychology of fear that if we die by Virus and die, investing in Cryptocurrency will not bring anything when we die
3. In a difficult economy, investors need to withdraw assets and sell cash to maintain businesses such as payroll, purchase and sale of goods instead of investing in cryptocurrencies.
4. The disease has not yet been controlled, the economy has not shown signs of recovery, so investors are afraid of not participating in the Cryptocurrency market.

In my opinion, the pandemic did some negative effects on the price of bitcoin but I don't think that it is the major reason why the price dumped. When the price dumped, there are those that say it is the pandemic, some say that it is because of the bitcoins being moved to the mixer by the scammers. Between those two, I would go with the scammers. Even though stocks are hugely affected by the pandemic, crypto currencies are not the same. IT is not directly affected since the ones that are affected are its users and these users are selling btc since they needed it but the fact that the price is increasing means that those people who sold their btc are not that many.
1165  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your thought during ECQ on: April 24, 2020, 11:58:05 PM
For me,I thought this covid19 pandemic is a wake up call for all of us,not only in the Philippines but all over the world, what if the Corona virus is a man made?and of course the vaccine is also a man made,,and the vaccine contain the chips, that called we save from the covid if we take a vaccine.. but...I read the article before, the article saying we need to wear a chips as our personal identy,we don't have any access like a bank, stores and etc..if we don't have a chips in our body,,,this quarantine think me a lot, what is the meaning of life if this chips happen...should you take the vaccine??

Well, another conspiracy. Although there is a possibility that this is happening, but TBH, it is not, we are adding more fire to the flame that started some months ago. No solid proof to back this up, and there are flaws with this conspiracy One is that not all of the people would be able to take the vaccine as it is not even made and not all are contaminated. Another thing is that not all of the government will be accepting to this as we all know most of the governments in our world are all humanitarian.
1166  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: April 24, 2020, 11:35:23 PM
One cannot tell when exactly the end of this Pandemic will last since there is no possible way stopping the virus from spreading and its effect on human life. We do hope that it will not take time for the antidote to be made available for that is the only way one can talk if the economy.

Well, we can stop the virus as we are doing safety precautions against it like social distancing, advertisements warning us to not go to places where a lot of people gather, no gatherings, always wash our hands, those are just some of the ways to stop or contain the virus and minimize the damage it has in a country. What we don't have is the vaccine that will end this pandemic once and for all. That is why while there is no vaccine, we should follow these precautions.

I am not that into sports betting but I do hope that sports come back and its players safely. I realized that its feels sad without these new clips, these new highlights, these new dunks and amazing plays every week. They play some old games and it just makes me miss the games that are happening. Just when things are getting better, this pandemic just ruined the season.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: April 24, 2020, 02:25:39 PM
I would say that expensive and long-term rehabilitation is not necessary for recovery. In this case, it is more important that the patient himself wants to recover and leave his harmful addictions. However, if money and time allows you to go through rehabilitation, it is unlikely to hurt.

People would always say this but I think this still depends on that individual. There are those gamblers or people that stopped their addiction by themselves, it sounds amazing and it is true since it is really hard to do that. In my case, I visit one and told me what should I do and they also said that the key is not them but myself. They said that I am pushing a door and that enigma is pushing it back the reason I can't open it, they said that before all of the things I wanted to do, I need to set that door free, let the enigma free and let myself assess what I've done. That just means that we need to accept ourselves, accept that we committed mistakes and we want to make up for that.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: April 24, 2020, 01:39:35 PM
This is their first match in WePlay! Pushka League CIS group. B8 is the most probably the weakest team in this group, and there should be no doubt who will take this match. B8 are on the 5 loss streak in all Dota 2 competitions, while Team Spirit is not holding anything better. They have 4 losses from their 5 last matches they’ve played in all competitions. However, Team Spirit had a very good ESL One Online tournament the last few weeks or so, and they surely showed us that they are ready to fight. Yes, they may be tired from too many matches in the last weeks, but they should win this match 2-0 easily. Another reason why to bet on Team Spirit is that they’ve faced B8 this Wednesday in Epic Prime League, and they have won that match by 2-0. Can they repeat their performance again vs B8? For sure, even though they are in the little crysis.

Well, I think Dendi should really stop trying hard, he already proved that he is one of the best players of the Dota 2 history, until now but I don't think his team is that great for him to win a major or even a minor. I am not saying that they can't do that but they have a lot of runs this season and I can't see any improvements in that performance at all. They are stable as a team but they are not performing well even though Dendi showing his skills. He is one of the reasons why I love to play Dota but seeing him struggling just breaks my heart.
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: April 24, 2020, 12:23:02 AM
Those who invested earlier are lucky. Most of them have significant holdings and they can survive these tough times by selling their coin holdings. But investing in Bitcoin at this point is extremely risky. You don't know in which direction the prices are going to move. I would rather chose reliable assets such as gold and platinum at this point.

Well, we can't really do anything about that, can't we? And I don't think they are doing that since for sure, most of those whales that you are saying are now holding their btcs for the incoming having since it would give good opportunities for them to sell or have a profit. The price drop a lot of times now since the start and I don't think we should say that they are lucky, being first has its cons too.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: April 23, 2020, 11:32:34 PM
Well, if we will be comparing these two, obviously bitcoin has the upper hand as it is made to take down the bank. With bitcoin, we don't need banks as we are the bank of our own bitcoins. In terms of security, banks and bitcoin have a flaw; banks in their security literally and with bitcoin being used by a human that is still prone from being hacked and put their bitcoins to high possibility of being hacked.
Now, who told you that bitcoin was created to destroy and take down the banks? Look at the people around us and how they are using crypto currencies. Most of them are just using it as a store of value instead of a regular currency. Most of them are using it for making profits. They cash out their profits in fiat! How do you expect bitcoin to take down banks when people act in this way.
Banks can't be taken down easily. At least not now.

Well, it is my own opinion. Users have the full control of their bitcoins, they are the one who is securing it, as the banks have with the fiats on their hands. With bitcoin, people don't need to rely on banks to hold for their currencies though there are those people who are still holding their crypto currencies on some exchanges which they shouldn't.
1172  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: April 23, 2020, 10:35:53 PM
i have a business in bali but since corona i have suffered a lot of losses because no tourists came. I also don't know what to do now, maybe I will go bankrupt if this pandemic doesn't end soon

Well, people are making new ways in order for them to earn profits despite the lockdown or ECQ since it is inevitable for business owners to lose profit nowadays. I don't know what your business is but maybe you can make other ways to earn a profit even in a small way. We don't know how long will this pandemic last so you better find a way to get your business going.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: April 23, 2020, 10:07:41 PM
As we see everyday many people are dying every day in Europe and America and their economy is going down every day and economy specialties are guessing that the USA will lose his position as economy king and china will take over and we are already seeing that china economy didn't drop much and there already making money in this crisis.

Well despite the struggling of US And China to the current pandemic, I guess China will still in that position lower than the US. It has a long way to go, as they said it. Also, the pandemic is still bringing new problems to the country as new asymptotic cases are blooming last week.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 23, 2020, 12:34:22 AM
Its really dumb for you not to think about your family needs when it comes to money spending towards gambling. Risking your living or needs because of your addiction? It sounds crazy but this one is actually happening.
It is very sad to hear a gambler forgets his family and just focus on gambling. I think it is more than addiction but I can't get the word to describe it. Well, maybe we can call it 'severe addiction'. This type of gambler must visit a therapist or mental health doctors. He needs a special treatment and serious handling. The common suggestions won't work to them as it is already classified a severe addiction.

Well, we do have a word for it: Chronic or Compulsive gambling. This type of gambling is the worst of them all and you are right that people should really visit or approach a professional for these kinds of cases. It really needs a lot of treatment for this as this is not a laughing matter, the gambler's life  and his family depends on this treatments.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 22, 2020, 11:59:15 PM
Can we really confirm that he really won that amount of money in gambling? I mean he might be one of those gamblers that said they won but actually they are not in the long run. This might be a beginner's luck or not but still, that is a huge amount of money to win as a beginner. I just hope he is a man of his word and focuses on his 2 siblings.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: April 22, 2020, 11:22:57 PM
Be careful with DOTA2 today guys, there is a new patch out there today and there is no telling how well/quickly will the teams adapt. That being said I am following your pics for today so hopefully not much surprises.

As far as I know, these changes really don't apply to the online tournaments happening today.

So I don't think they don't really need to worry about the changes that happened. More of the changes that happened was like the things they observed in the last online tournament which is the LA major where there are a lot of cheese strats being used by the teams.
Once the patch is live, it will be applied immediately.
It will immediately be applied unless on a new hero update like it will not automatically be added in captain mode since captain mode is most of the mode of the hero pickings used in such tournaments.
It will be on the team if they are aware of the new patch, so reading patch notes is extremely important especially if you are a pro player.

I agree. This will be applied immediately since the tournaments are being done online. If these tournaments are doing on LAN, I also think that it will not be applied but since it is being done online, then it is already out there. It is just sad how Phoenix is nerfed the same as Death Prophet which is two of the favorites picks in the last tournament. Either way, we have @rand1919 here to analyze your bets, we don't need to worry.
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC reach 100,000.00 USD ... (to analyze your amount in BTC) on: April 22, 2020, 10:20:22 PM
Guys, imagine if BTC reaches 100k USD today or in a few days. Now answer:
Would you be happy with the amount you have right now? It's enough for you to retire, or to be rich in your own terms?

It's a good way to think if you need more BTC or is it's enough

If BTC reaches 100k today, with the amount I have, I would be in a really good situation, but not enough to retire, so I'm working to buy more BTC in a mid term

Share with us, do you need more BTC?

To be honest, I don't think people would be thinking that they don't have enough amount or number of bitcoins when it hit that kind of price. What they will be thinking first is how long will it last so they could get their profit more or keep on holding since it might be the tip of the iceberg. We are still far from that price and what I can think of is that almost all of the countries are using bitcoin and it is widely used in the world.

1179  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: April 22, 2020, 02:22:43 PM
There are so many different conspiracy theories regarding what is happening in the world. I believe that all this is happening to divert eyes from the crisis.
This theory could be confirmed by deanonizing the owners of the holders of the largest volumes of BTC and identifying them as belonging to government structures.

We could have many theories but we do know that governments do in fact conduct social experiments on a regular basis. We'll never know the goal or only be able to see the outcome once it's over.

Well, we never know. But I don't think this is created by the government. The fact that the program it is related to gambling specifically, poker. Another thing is the decentralization of it; because of it a lot of leaders of countries are not in favor of accepting or legalizing it in their countries. We do know the goal of bitcoin and we can see it from the Whitepaper of it made by Satoshi Nakamoto.
1180  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: April 22, 2020, 01:25:16 PM
In my point of view, cryptocurrency cannot be as useful as fiat currency when it comes to everyday basis, that human uses fiat for trading goods to buy or sell, but also crypto can be use same as that in such a way we can trade some stuffs through online payment. In that case, cryptocurrency is not that usable as fiat is, but it also have a good features and advantage like through online transactions, crypto is more convenient.

Well, that is the reason why we can't just compare Bitcoin and other crypto currencies with the fiats. We don't have that much information since people are not really using it, unlike fiat. The acceptability of it and the usage of it these days increased but still, there are a lot of people that didn't know such things exist despite the advantages of it over fiats.
