I once replied to his thread there in DP and I thought the guy has good skills because he created great projects and provide services with his web development. It must be the lockdown that snaps his head to nuts.

Lolz, you matched great things there mate - Lockdown and Anti-Chinese. Now I get it why he's got too much hatred in his heart for Chinese (even I don't like Chinese anymore due to Corona but I actually thank them for the hygienic life Corona has taught us to live). I saw his posts and they're "blatantly trolls" because there's no meaning in showing and trying to spread hatred here when we meet each other not as Americans, Chinese, Romanian, Indians, etc. but human beings. We're here which proves that globalization has succeeded to extreme levels and talking shit about a community won't get anyone anywhere.
1242  Economy / Reputation / Re: suchmoon is trolling people topics and leaving negative feedbacks for no reason on: September 01, 2020, 08:31:17 PM
@spy100, I can't say you scammed anybody unless I get a proof, but I can truly say tht you're just talking shit about escrows and motivating people to go and trade here with anyone without and escrow, the result of which could lead to serious financial damages and losses to many of those noobs who will just listen to you and try to save measly bucks but will probably end up getting scammed and losing their money if the work/service isn't delivered to the other party. What will the party do? They'll just come here and tell us the scammer's name but what do they get? Nothing.

No hard feelings, just my opinion. And trust me, I am not a part of any gangs whatsoever. Wink
1243  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to protect your self as designer/developer from scammers? on: September 01, 2020, 08:13:39 PM
Dude are you stupid or what ? It's design ...when you send the screenshot to client ,you basically sent your work ...

I dare you to make 100 templates for me ,send me the screenshots and after i will pay you if i like them ... we can use escrow

Escrow doesn't mean "pay if you like them". Escrow follows mutually agreed rules of what needs to be done and how much needs to be paid etc. Customer sends money to escrow - that way you know the payment is guaranteed if you do your job. You send your design, script, whatever to escrow when you're done, escrow can check it out and make sure you did what you were supposed to do. The customer would have no way to get your work for free. This benefits both sides.

You sound more and more like a scammer by continuing to reject such a basic concept. Sure customers can deal with you directly without escrow if they want to. That doesn't mean that escrow is a bad thing.

this is not crypto exchange ...this is work ... escrow you do for other things not for working ... in real life if you touch my work money i will beat you to death ...money is exchanged between employer and employee ...it's their contract that they both agree you moron ...

Go see how services work in real life ... like you ever worked a day in your life you Chinese commie .

Death threat above, quoted for reference.

Escrow has 0 value when doing design work ...this is what they don't understand ,most people here that are not designers or developers.

Escrow has 0 value?
Well, what the fuck do you think escrows are here for, then huh?
Are you drunk while writing all this shit about escrows? Are you paying 50% or something like that to an escrow? No, right?
Still, his job is to protect both sides. You need not to provide your work to the party but to escrow and escrow will check and pass your work to them and release the coins to you after charging a minimal fee amount. Do you even understand shit about what you just said?
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fall for this YFI / YFII Telegram scam! on: September 01, 2020, 07:58:03 PM
besides those two projects, I also found people who spread other Y Series token airdrops who held fake airdrops, I don't know why lately many telegram bot devloper are trying their luck with this hype even though I think they are quite stupid considering that currently ethereum gas is very expensive and of course people must be thinking of sending some fees to their wallets.

Gas fee is high currently, and that's the only reason I thought to urge people about all this shit that's happening over telegram, so that they don't fall for these scams thinking that when gas fee is already high, might be the reason why these people are asking for some 0.005 Eth as fee in order to credit their so-called YFI tokens in our exchange wallets FOR FREE.  Grin

I hope to have given this information at the right time so if any noobs or newbies watch this thread, they may be saved from this. I know that mostly everyone's aware of these scams, but the gas fee currently is touching sky high records which recently made a few miners around half a million (truly, a jackpot for them) in fees in a single transaction.
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Defi New revolution or just like 2017 ICO,s ? on: September 01, 2020, 07:45:03 PM
DeFi seems to be like a golden egg that's being thrown every single day by the hen unless some day this hen gets cut by the investors to party out eating her. Don't get caught when the dust settles - that's all I can say. I don't think DeFi is bad, but what's happening here is literally making it look like a pump and dump scenario and I hope for the best in the interest of investors. Saw YFII listed today which is being called even better over YFI as it has official Chinese local investors involved in it, but every investor would invest for profit, so some day soon, they'll crash the price when they'll look for their profits. This scene is looking too good to be true, or like a dream come true.

I've been into an airdrops based group that gives me updates whenever a new airdrop is up.

This is what I received in that group, I thought to check this out as I smelled some scam.

Everything was good, until they, in their group, started asking to send Eth and get back double the Eth.

Now, the shittiest part here, as you already know that gas fee is too high in the Eth network specifically for DeFi protocol, what these guys threw in the bot was hilarious! They sent me this:

Quote
1 SET YOUR WALLET
2 CHECK YOUR WALLET
3 SEND GAS FEE TO WITHDRAW 🦄

Then, when I gave my address, they showed me this:

Quote
yearn.finance (YFI):
🦄 My ETH Address
💹 Distribute in 09/03/2020
⛽ Send 0.005 Ethereum  to process your withdrawal.

◾ Users who caught taking only proof of others will be permanently banned

◾ Your Screen Shot of Deposit or Transaction hash 📸

TBH, I can clearly say these mofos are none from YFI's team and you won't get anything once you send them the Eth, so just don't fall for this! Wink

And the same shit is inside YFII's channel too but I'm not going to share it. Just don't fall for these coins, they're worth so high that it's common sense nobody would give them for free.
1247  Other / Archival / Re: Betting Systems on: September 01, 2020, 06:49:21 PM
well, the conclusion of what you say is that there is no strategy that always gives you victory, which must be needed to be able to regulate your emotional state, don't be too passionate about gambling because it can make you lose instantly when you can't control your emotions.

That's true, you can win an X amount in gambling (n times or m % actually) but you need to focus on that amount that you've already made up, and see that you've already made more than what an average Joe makes if he'd have put his money in a bank's FD and waits for years to double it whereas if you manage to even gain 50% of your total capital (not the bet size of a bet but your entire bankroll), then I guess there's no need to keep your money over there. Just withdraw and use it. If not, and you're into doubling your money, sure go ahead but do understand that there could be losses ahead which might make you bet more by flowing under your emotions and lose even more than what you'll have at that time.
1248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: September 01, 2020, 06:35:30 PM
I have a few questions actually to ask you, which will basically answer your query if you're smart enough to understand the logic:

- Aren't stocks riskier?
- Aren't savings in private banks riskier?
- Aren't investments in Gold and diamonds riskier?
- Isn't real estate riskier?

If these things possess risks and people still invest in them, then why not cryptocurrencies which has come up as a completely new asset class and gives much better returns if done with proper risk management skills?
1249  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Yet another SCAM by the shady BITTREX Exchange! on: August 31, 2020, 09:52:11 PM
Luckily for him, he had a rather small amount of coins on his account. Perhaps he won't get them back in the end, but Bittrex could still get a fine by FMA, which would somehow right the wrong that was done to Bob.

Based on your concerns for your friend Bob, I'd think what number of users did lose their coins at bittrex after refusing to go for KYC? 🤔
I mean, it may not be a big amount for Bob, but just think for a second and try to figure out that even if bittrex would have got BTC0.01 from each user (let's assume 1000 users) who refused to go for KYC and left that BTC0.01 there, forever. So that's 10 BTC (assumed) for free for bittrex. Are trex guys worth a 100k bucks after asking us for a KYC?
1250  Economy / Gambling / Re: WavesPlay.com - Dice, Coin Flip, Referral for Life - Live on Chain on: August 31, 2020, 09:45:04 PM
Well, dice and coin flip would not be special, but they are on the Waves ecosystem. It was the only site on Waves, that supported dozens of cryptocurrencies.

Waves had been one of my favorites but in old times, I don't think I've seen any of the current gambling sites offering Waves as their native token and other tokens as secondary. I believe that your project needed enough marketing as I never ever heard of this website before and to make it heard, you need a different budget than what you're willing to invest on your site. Anyways, sad to see a casino got wiped off the ground (I had started such a thread few days back and not feeling good after seeing this happening.
1251  Other / Archival / Re: Betting Systems on: August 31, 2020, 08:27:57 PM
I have tried applying some basic rules on my games that I play and even made a set of hard rules to be followed (and I also have my own strategies or ways to deal with losses), but trust me, when you start winning, you just forget those rules and strategies immediately and start focusing on winning more. This creates an addictive environment where I lose my patience as well as my control on myself and that's where I start losing. I won't say that control and patience brings me constant wins and 0 losses, but these 2 really help in not losing what you'd have lost if you'd have played in an addictive manner.
1252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your keys, your bitcoin? on: August 31, 2020, 06:57:13 PM

Should the California court provide a thread in bitcointalk forum where people can provide their BTC address and sign a message?  Grin

The court will probably just assume they both own the coins unless one of them can prove whether one stole the keys from the other. This is going to be hard. If they can both agree to flip a coin to resolve the issue, the easier for the court to settle.

Hey, I still got a method here that can help you prove your ownership.

Double-signature method

A way of proving yourselves at the time of doubt when any of your keys get stolen. You can use 2 unique addresses from 2 different wallets (and the wallets should allow you signing messages). You should sign one message from address X stating that the said address (X) is yours and that you are also going to sign the same message from address Y (that another wallet) that you possess the address X. Do it vice versa for address Y too. This way, you'll have your worth proven in times when your keys ever get stolen (it's like a 2FA) and now, don't tell me that both keys may get stolen (lolz). Just store both of them on 2 different devices (one of them should be kept on a device that always remains offline).
1253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your keys, your bitcoin? on: August 31, 2020, 05:30:29 PM
@OP, what a difference you've come up with! Amazing, seriously!
I do agree that if a person has the exact private key that you own, then you're probably caught under a mess. Remember one thing though that if a private key gets compromised, no one's stupid enough to wait for even a second sweeping it off and taking those coins somewhere else (maybe to an exchange where s/she would sell it immediately). It's sometimes good not to have our coins in our possession but that time is when bad luck strikes, else our coins are best under our possession when we hold the private key. Why not buy a hardware wallet with an insurance instead?
1254  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Yet another SCAM by the shady BITTREX Exchange! on: August 25, 2020, 10:26:26 PM
He could NOT withdraw his coins on time, for the simple reason they had already disabled his account and were preventing him to move the coins without verification!
Regarding the supposedly unfair treatment to those who accepted the terms... well if their account were not disabled as well for some unknown reason, they could refuse to accept and withdraw their coins in time. Bob was not given a chance instead, so it's Bob the one who may rightfully complaint about receiving an unfair treatment!

As a final remark, scamming people for a relatively small amount and being confident they won't go legal, since the expenses would be much higher than the scammed amount, is a typical low-life pattern. That makes Bittrex even more disgusting.

Sorry on missing those points, my bad!
So yes, Bob should definitely go for a legal complaint against them, but should first send a complain to Financial Market Authority (FMA) in Liechtenstein under whose supervision, Bittrex operates. Though, I don't think they'll compromise here as they're the party who hold the coins and are the big dogs currently - and are bitter exchange (so as their name suggests Wink).
1255  Economy / Gambling / Re: Don't fall for that nitrogensports scammer at any cost! Check inside! on: August 25, 2020, 10:08:02 PM
I report to moderator everytime the idiot posts. Wish they'd hand out a more severe punishment then deleting the thread to morons looking to scam everyone.

I believe these people won't stop doing shit just to scam people for some bucks or their data or whatever their intention is, but the fact is, mods or even admins can't stop these assholes considering that when evil points are there, countable, these people won't hesitate paying some money buying copper membership and then come up with a new scam technique every time in future.
1256  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Yet another SCAM by the shady BITTREX Exchange! on: August 25, 2020, 09:13:31 PM
They were implicitly admitting that users were not forced to accept the new terms, so they knew very well they had to give users the option to stop using the service and refuse to accept the change.
Then they failed to keep their own promise and denied Bob to close his account without accepting the new TOS, even though he was NOT actually using their service anymore: he simply couldn't, as they disabled his account even before the change announcement!
That proves once again their bad faith and fraudulent intent. That's just disgraceful.

Nah, I don't believe it's their fault but your friend's failure to just remove his coins ON TIME, which means before they changed their terms. Now that this has become mandatory and he's got his coins there, I believe he needs to go through it in order to get his coins back. Don't you think it'd be unfair to those who actually accepted the terms and went ahead and did their KYC? Were all those users stupid who didn't raise their voice and didn't make the use of their rights you're talking about, for Bob? Just ask Bob to go legal and then, the expenses will be much more higher than what he'll be getting through the exchange (his alts).
1257  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lucius is signature spammer by dkbit98 ? on: August 25, 2020, 08:49:10 PM
What made me laugh (or should I say - made my day) was the fact that the person in question (dkbit I'm talking about) was the one who merited your post. Maybe he understood already that this way of trying to mud up someone's reputation by just saying this simple-yet-complicated statement that s/he is a signature spammer won't work anymore hehe. Cheesy
Look, there was a race organized between dogs and a cheetah to see who runs fast! All the dogs ran after the gunshot, but cheetah was just laying down there and watching those dogs running. Cheetah didn't run. Moral is - you need not to prove others your worth because sometimes, it's an insult to prove that you're the best.

1259  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YOBIT EXCHANGE SCAM peoples in YODA and DICE coins on: August 25, 2020, 08:09:58 PM
@Op, you were waiting for them to prove you that they're scam or what? They've had been scamming people since ages (sarcasm) and they have too many accusations that you can't even count. What made you think that their YODA is worth anything? They started it at around 700 sats (yes, even I got some YODA) and came up with a scheme that you'll need to invest it in their shit investment schemes and play on their dice in order to meet the requirements for getting your Yoda daily % or just forget your coins. That was the worst shit, and stop saying that they're alone responsible for this. What do you think? People who got it for free weren't dumping this shit at all? I'm not defending them but this was a free token and was meant to be dumped.
1260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker Stole 1,000 Traders’ Personal Data From CryptoTrader.Tax on: August 25, 2020, 05:57:34 PM
More people now will be exposed that they own cryptocurrency and might be personally targeted.

Isn't this something that was expected to happen when crypto was being expected to go mainstream? Come on, BTC is on TV ads, banners, almost everywhere and this is the security that these tax guys give? Just because of this security breach, 100s of customers have lost their privacy and will definitely be touched by government officials once their data gets leaked. No doubt they were already going the legal way by paying taxes, but how much tax, is what this company was going to deliver them with their work. I'm afraid we're all prone to hacks almost everywhere where no tight security is available (eg.; Casinos, gambling websites, lending websites, DeFi websites, etc.)
