it's cool , i kind of know you don't do minera for a living if you did more would be done faster , if minera made enough to live off of reasonable I'm sure you would rather do that all day I had to throw that in there about ETH Ming because it's not going away any time soon at first i really thought it wouldn't last but now coin base lets you sell eth coins direct to your bank account and a lot of other nice things are starting to happen. I didn't think would with no end in site. I know it won't be easy giving minera support for eth mining . just had to add it . Question can we still use minera 7.0 for script mining or local support like we do now till it is added to the new rewrite ?. I run it now on a few PI's with Ubuntu 16.0.1. and have it running really smooth all but one issue I'm working on with BFG it never auto starts but CGMiner does with any version of Ubuntu and BFG does with any version below 16, I'lll figure out why and would rather not ask why, it's more fun learning it on my own . or I would have asked . no idea what's up with orange PI's not loading the corn file or making it work right from time to time with a new kernel version just my oranges do it . Thanks cya toptek

hey I hope this comes eth ready , I'm sure you will get even more on top of the antminer user using it as well for eth GPU mining . i do understand why not right a way with USB miners .but no eth support might be bad or you get so many request you have to..just a thought . and sgminer miners support eth Getwork and Stratum now with out a proxy, you have to play with it some but it's great once you get it working . don't forget awesome miner has ETH support for sgminer miners the main problem with awesome atm it only runs on windows PC's unless you use it to monitor , id rather use Ubuntu for this kind stuff over windows , i use windows for every day use and Ubuntu type OSes seem to run miners a lot better and even now you can run minera on a PC not just Pi's . i have to see, if it can run Linux you can run minera on it. i don't know if you will let us with the new version don't care really, ill keep using windows to eth mine or use minera if it has support for eth miners and we can still use it on PC's with Linux or window PC's (if windows PC support happens) . and GPU cards will all ways be with in reach of everyone , no end in site mining with them, it seems, if one coin falls one replaces it that pays all most as good and every one keeps having fun. ofc i plan to keep using minera with my script miners, no software controller runs my small but growing 167 'MH farm better ,i have all but given up on btc mining the miners cost to much and get out dated to fast unlike GPU's etc .the big guys destroyed btc mining for home users but whats new they always ruin a good thing, greed . sgminer-gm with eth Getwork and Stratum support https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1612329.0 awesome miner (very close to minera ). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0if your not a ware of it .I don't mean to add to it but something to think about .

I bought the reference card and passed up on a S7 LN, i was gonna buy . the card will be more useful then the S7 LN. once i have that card unless you get the .rom first , I'll link it . . cya toptek

is wasn't to bad , i plan to do that next month for the 480 or may buy another 470, not much difference, that i see between them. was gonna buy this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202230 but it's loud in some of the reviews i read,I'd end up modding the cooling if it is,i don't want to right now ,so many are buying the NITRO+ Radeon RX 470 ,so i got it . Can you please link the rom image for this Sapphire card? I can't i didn't buy the ref card, i bought the other one , but next month i may buy one and modded the fan. or do you want the NITRO+ Radeon RX 470.rom ? .I get that card Thursday.

Whats the best 470 to buy , I gonna buy one to day I'm willing to buy the 8 GB version doesn't matter just want the best bang for the bucks in the price ranges of 200 to 300 so i know what to look for or have a good idea, the best one for mining ? .
same for the 480 but that's later like next month around the 26 th .

Claymore is ok if you like being told you have to tip then forced to . I plan to tip for this one as soon as i can . I would have with Claymore or even paid to unlock no tipping .

after many days of trying different setting this is what i came up with for my power color 280 custom water cooled not the X , i even did a bios edit with VBE7.0.0.7b.exe to lower the voltage to 1.18 i think this card has a locked voltage @ 1.25, after burner doesn't help there . sgminer 5.3.0-gm - Started: [2016-09-25 15:20:26] - [0 days 00:02:24] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (5s):18.16M (avg):17.49Mh/s | A:4000000000 R:0 HW:1 WU:23.682/m ST: 2 SS: 0 NB: 15 LW: 190 GF: 0 RF: 0 Connected to diff 4G as user Block: 44ca00cd... I have awesome miner managing it. next my two MSI Radeon R7 370 2G not water cooled and old 7870 custom water cooled , hope to have this time next month, 1 480 and 1 470. o yea i also mine XMR while while mining ETH with 4 and 8 core CPU's. that's a whole new tweak thing , I'll do once I have this down.

This GPU won't go much higher i have just about maxed it . I'm still working on buying a few 470 or 480 but for now i have to use a PowerColor Radeon R9 280 TurboDuo OC with a Intel Xeon e3 1230 V2 my Motherboard is junk, i burnt out a nice ASUS board i had and needed a cheap board so the CPU didn't set. but that make sense why one other PC won't go over 10MH with a even older CPU and GPU in it that card should hit 13 MH and won't break 10 MH no mater what i do . @ Za1n I just tried that and it did give about that much more GPU 0: 46.0C 45% | 18.11M/18.04Mh/s | R: 0.0% HW:9 WU:16.182/m rI:4194304 it was GPU 0: 45.0C 45% | 18.09M/17.96Mh/s | R: 0.0% HW:1 WU:16.370/m rI:1916928

I am sure this is a great miner but without an info on drivers etc it is a pain in the butt. I have yet to find any reliable driver or settings to use.
It appears I am not the only one as there is scarce info on it being used on any forum. It is like giving someone a Ferrari and Free Gas (compared to Claymore) and no engine.
If this helps any i got mine up to 18 MH stable about what it should do : heres my sgminer.conf after a few days of playing with it, with Claymore i could only get it to do 17 MH tops with driver radeon-crimson-15.12-win10-64bit. installing driver non-whql-win10-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-16.9.2-sep21 see what that does. }], "profiles": [{ "gpu-powertune": "0", "worksize": "256", "name": "eth", "algorithm": "ethash", "gpu-threads": "1", "rawintensity": "1916928" }], "no-extranonce": "true", "default-profile": "eth", "api-allow": "W:10.0.0.0/8", "gpu-engine" : "1150", "gpu-memclock" : "1500", "temp-target": "72", "gpu-fan": "45-85", "api-port": 4028, "temp-cutoff": "82", "api-listen": true, "auto-fan": true, "temp-overheat": "80" } I also followed this some http://www.overclock.net/t/1461916/tutorial-ultimate-guide-to-tweaking-amd-cgminer-3-7-2-kalroth-edition-sgminer-instructions-included-aswell-get-the-most-hash-out-of-your-gpuGPU 0: 45.0C 45% | 18.09M/17.96Mh/s | R: 0.0% HW:1 WU:16.370/m rI:1916928

I thought US law says the have to give you a 1 year warranty on all new stuff , i guess there way around it is import it but good to know and you had a lot to do with it. >.... From another hard ware seller of PC parts in the US, this is a PC made to do one thing . Your warranty will only cover manufacturing defects. It does not cover regular wear and tear, including but not limited to, breakage due to abuse, cosmetic damage, dents and chips, improper usage, water damage, or other causes attributable to events outside the manufacturing process. US and Asia: 1 year warranty on all products. EU: 2 year warranty on all products. All products are covered by local warranty regulations. NM they don't have to . :The Warranty Act doesn't require any manufacturer to provide a written warranty, but allows manufacturers to determine whether to warrant their products in writing. Once a manufacturer decides to offer a written warranty on a consumer product, however, it must comply with the Warranty Act. so prettify much it is the best interest of the manufacturer to offer one if it's free or not, they must honor it. if they do offer a written warranty . make sure you get it in writing . cya

I'm using a similar strategy. Diversifying helps to decrease risk.
ATM, I'm testing one of those new 150MHS X11 rigs that can mine on 5 algos and uses very little electricity. A few the coins i'm able to mine have been around for a long time: ie Dash and Digibyte. I'm also researching a new/efficient 200MHS machine that can mine any GPU coin and uses only 800 watts.
My gut tells me that others are looking for more profitable/efficient alternatives to straight BTC mining.
So I hope BTC difficulty levels off. That way, I hope I'm able to keep existing last generation BTC gear (S7s and A6s) and the price of this generation's gear ( S9s and A7s) becomes a lot better. If not, there's always other mining gear opportunities to explore.
BTC mining gear manufacturers will not be the only "crypto mining gear makers" to make equipment in the crypto world....and some other coins will be around for the long run too. OFC, there is the same concern that happened to the Scrypt algo when Scrypt ASICs emerged.
TLDR: As long as we can ROI under 8 months on any other equipment, my BTC mining gear purchases will take a back seat.
I do the same thing and run three or four PC and mine XMR it's holding but price is dropping , i just won't mine it , when it gets to low . saving for two x11 miners , dash is holding around 12.84 s a coin , xmr goes up and down a lot but holding at 10 dollars and eth is around 11 bucks . it all add up and not to bad to mine this way, i like Mining btc but the gear cost to much etc .I have some older btc gear I use from time to time and about 178 MH in script miners, i got a really good deal on a Alchemist 256 that had a bad controller which was no issue . it had one board also . the other seven boards work, i dropped one and messed it up beyond repair and donated one to some one to tech schools with. so i have five boards and one Gridseed 25 MH miner not the little two blade one .a Avalon 6, may try to buy another one, after i get one or two more amd 470 or 480 depends on cash when i buy them .a S1 S3 C1 and A4.1 that set all work the S3 has 2 bad chips . the other miners work like they should.

R4's no longer shipping free i was wondering how long they would let that ride sigh ....!!!
The shipping cost is not included in the retail price shown above. Please fill your desired quantity, shipping address and select your preferred shipping service while placing an order to learn the exact shipping cost.
Guess they see they can get a way with selling it @ 1395.00 plus shipping .
no one should really complain either if you buy it ).
How silent are they asking those that bought it and have it, 52 db to me is not that silent.

Id be worried to he doesn't give a price, i really don't think hell sell it here for the Ebay price either unless he finds some one that's a fool or some one that really wants it.

tip: I took a orange PI installed Ubuntu 15.10 sense 16 still has issue with those type pi . even the rasp pi still doesn't work right with Ubuntu 16.04.1 or you got to do so much BS to make it work right with that PI or any PI, you don't need to with 15.10 or lower . i then went to nice hash and downloaded there version or fork of CGMINER they have posted for Avalon, it seems to work better then the master version or the one cc posted and it lets me use #xnsub with the nice hash fork , the CC fork doesn't, or it doesn't work for me . I mine alt coins with this miner and some older miners and trade those coins up and try to make more you can still. it's actually a lot fun to do . I cp the nice hash fork into minera after i compile it.!!! then use this line --lowmem --avalon4-iic-detect --avalon4-fan 20-100 --avalon4-freq 400 if you leave out you may get a ton of hw error's, i did . I used the RPI 3 version off avalon/CC's site, to test it . you can actually over clock them that way with no locks like the Openwrt software has, if you want to . there is another setting you can use for the voltages i don't use, I'm happy with the results and I'm not limited to avalon/CC's soft ware.

What's the noise level of this miner ?
loud !!! but you can put in quiet fans but make sure they at least do 181 fpm or better if you do . and there are some very quiet fans that can do that . mine has two of the loud stock fans in it still ,I left in to be safe , i replaced the others fans with quiet high air flow fans. lets say if you don't do some kind 0f fan mode it is a data center loud , i can leave mine on all nite in my house in another room and no one is bothered by it but before with all fans @stock it was bad . you can't sleep in the same room either unless it's winter time, if you can get it quiet enough, it gets to hot with the stock fans or not, the cooling really sucks on these miners but there beasts if you can keep them cool which you can:).I would use this firmware update https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=27370.msg282128#msg282128 on each board if it wasn't done yet it runs way better with it. if they over heat with that firmware they shut down and don't burn up , at least mine did form testing they stop hashing after 12 mins tops, if they over heat and then don't hash till you cool them off, i intentionally over heated mine after the firm update. Run wires from each board to the PSU don't use the patch wire in between the miner and PSU it may burn out a board or worse start a fire. use 16 GW or better wire to power it. if you use 16 GW wire a 6 pin PCI plug is fine, if you use 18 GW you need a 8 pin plug. I know it says AlcheMiner but all these are is a version of the AlcheMiner miners same chips and boards . controller fans etc .. Just giving a few facts about these miners they are very nice, but set it up right, once you have it.

helping bump it why so cheap wish i had the cash, id buy one !!! ... and the Excalibur sell here for 1 k maybe but not in the US , the shipping will kill that deal, go to eBay or amazon they sell for all most 2k each if one is even on sell, there. and most 110 A2 sell on eBay or amazon for 1k to 1.200k or more . you can plug a Excalibur into a 110 line if you use two PSU it runs about the same as a a2 110 just don't plug all the boards in at once to the same 110 line and use a custom PI, if you do it that way, its safer. Here's that Alchemist/Mat/Excalibur notice were it ships from "). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1607723.0 and it looks like it is using two PSU. so yea this is a deal.!!! he'll sell it.

the new update is mostly for the RPI3 im using it on my rpi3 there is not much it does that i see other then give support for that PI .I didn't check efficiency, probable won't , I'm running it off a evga 1300 watt psu on a 220 line and it seems ok.

Updated to add.
Ok, so still having the dropping offline issues and noticed that just slightly touching the USB cable going into the rasPi would disconnect the miner. Switched USB cables and no disconnect when tapping it.
Will be relieved and highly annoyed if all of this is from a cheap USB cable.
LMao it could be that .!!!! I have had similar issue with cheap power supply's for PI types , so now i BUY to use right . !!!
