1401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason Libra might be good for Bitcoins on: June 20, 2019, 06:24:16 PM
We all know that it is going to serve as a major competition for Bitcoins, bigger than anyone in the market yet,
No, I didn't know that.
How can a stable coin with a centralized network compete with a non-stable coin with a decentralized network?

Now since they are releasing Libra , that is a cryptocurrency people will stop looking wide eyed on Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies and since it's not evidently getting launched just tomorrow we have all the time in the world to welcome those 2.38 billion into the *maybe they will be using Bitcoins* world.

This way we have both increased our scope and at the same time it has enhanced and strengthen the market .
Come on now, it's not like people are using all features of facebook. Majority of those 2.38 billion are only using it to browse and post status. If anything, those who will probably use this Libra (fake) crypto are the same people who use facebook for business.
1402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between Bitcoin and Facebook's Libra on: June 20, 2019, 06:12:54 PM
Bitcoin's decentralized, Libra's centralized. That's the main difference.
This one.

What's even funny is that they will try to become decentralized in the future. Why would they even plan to become centralized when their goal is to become decentralized  Huh
1403  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Kapa-Community Ministry Investment scam on: June 20, 2019, 05:54:15 PM
Substance over form tayo dito.
1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to eliminate modern day slavery one crypto at a time on: June 20, 2019, 05:43:56 PM
Just checking in on my social experiment today? hmmm, looks like nobody is interested wow, I thought that this experiment would be a huge hit, amazing how nobody wants free money.
Ahhh because people understands that what you're saying is unsustainable and that many know this is not a get rich quick scheme.

Come join me in this forum thread to discuss ways to eliminate "9 to 5 modern day slavery"
Out by 5, arrive at home by 6 or 7. Dinner until 8 or 9. Spend one hour reading about investments/trading. Go to sleep. Wake up by 4 or 5, read again then prepare for work. There is no free lunch mate. If you are that desperate to get out of your current situation, then acquire the necessary knowledge to excel in other things (crypto in this case).

1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you trust FB with your KYC details? on: June 20, 2019, 05:32:19 PM
LOL! A company known for selling user data is now to be trusted for KYC? I don't even think they need to require KYC as they already know a lot of their users.
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LIBRA: SHOULD INVEST IN THE CRYPTOMONNAIE OF FACEBOOK? on: June 20, 2019, 05:24:54 PM
I do not really see the point of investing in a stable coin with a centralized network. I don't know about you but I think it is a fake crypto, Some coins seems to be doing well in countries with high inlation rate (dash, litecoin, bitcoin).
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 20, 2019, 05:09:54 PM
The good thing about KD and Klay is that they are not late in their careers right now, they are still pretty young compared to some of the other big injuries like theirs and that is why there is a chance they can find a way to recover with time
In a way, Kahwi made a good example of how serious injuries should be treated. They should follow his advise, "come back when you feel healthy". Kahwi has been ridiculed before and look where he is now after taking full time to recover.
1408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: June 20, 2019, 05:01:59 PM
Now with a lot of known boxers siding with Pacquiao which some of them even shared the ring against him are siding with him. I'm still wondering why the bookies have picked Pacquiao as the underdog of the match when Thurman wasn't impressive in his comeback fight.

I'm surprised Broner went for Thurman. I guess he is still salty with his clear loss to Manny. Bookies have their own "insider info" as compared to these professional boxers. I don't know what kind of info they got but they don't always get it right.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you watch the matches you're gambling on on: June 20, 2019, 04:50:56 PM
In most cases, I don't watch live matches. I can only do so if time permits.

In addition, by watching the match, we can measure the strength of each team to be considered in our predictions on the next games.
But you can also do this after the match have concluded. I am assuming that "by watching the match", you mean watching the live match.
1410  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Pilipinas Board, Bumabalik sa Dating Sitwasyon? on: June 20, 2019, 04:27:02 PM

1411  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Facebook Libra cryptocurrency can be a solution on inflation. on: June 20, 2019, 04:08:30 PM
Most cryptocurrencies, especially bitcoin, are being eyed as a solution to inflation long before facebook even thought of entering the crypto scene.
1412  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Anong expectations ninyo sa maaring pagbabalik ni YOBIT? on: June 20, 2019, 03:45:35 PM
Limit number of participants at bawasan yung maxmimum posts.

Yung dating 20 posts per day talaga ang sumira.
1413  Other / Meta / Re: How to properly report ban evasion ? on: June 19, 2019, 08:45:49 AM
Simply report a post of them with 'ban evasion' in the comment field ?
Post into a 'Ban Evasion' thread (e.g. [Report] Ban Evasion [Requesting Admin/mod to check those and ban]) ?

This is probably the best way to report. I just don't think the community or the mods are really focusing on ban evasions. Notice that the thread you mentioned is already six months old but there are only few reports. Some of those reported were not even banned despite some good proof of evasions.
1414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa needs bitcoin, not a charity on: June 19, 2019, 08:32:59 AM
The major setback is the lack of information,
I don't agree with this. It's more like the lack of interest to learn. Pretty sure, a lot of Africans have access to facebook and other social media where they can learn more about Bitcoin.

lack of stabble power supply.
But then again, we see a lot of airdrop and bounty hunters from Africa.
1415  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Be careful of asking Non collateral loans outside the local on: June 19, 2019, 07:10:52 AM
I don't think the negative trust was really necessary. This is one reason why some users are fighting the trust system.

I agree with this statement (reply) on that thread:
Quote
A loan request is not automatically a scam attempt. The scam attempts that are frequently seen here are those made by throwaway accounts.

1416  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Investing on cryptocurrency is too hard for others on: June 19, 2019, 06:49:49 AM
The image is all about investing "in general as a whole" and I think you pointing on cryptocurrency since you have mentioned: "especially on cryptomarket".
Exactly the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the image.

1418  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie accounts should not be allowed to post in certain forums. on: June 19, 2019, 06:06:06 AM
Nice to see this topic on the proper board. I was expecting OP to move one of the topics to move it to Meta instead of creating a third one. In case OP is not aware, you can also move your post to other boards (option available at the lower left).

As I said on the other similar threads (now deleted), you cannot assume that all newbies are complete noobs about crypto or blockchain. There are other avenues to learn. Limiting where they can post here is unfair.
1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Libra - Facebook Cryptocurrency on: June 19, 2019, 05:21:36 AM
I don't think they have been listed yet. They have not opened a public sale also. Only private and institutional investors are funding them at the moment. You will probably have to wait until next year to buy on exchanges.
1420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 19, 2019, 05:15:49 AM
The landscape of the West has change again with the arrival of AD to the Lakers. But there are also rumours that they are pursuing either Kemba and Butler for a formidable line up next season.
I've read that one too. I don't LBJ, AD, and Butler would click. It's looking like the OKC trio (melo, westbrook, PG) and we all know what happened to them. I would rather see Kemba on that Laker's line up next season. Deadly!
Kemba Walker would be a good fit for this team as he is can guide the team if either AD or LBJ will be out for the game or resting. This roster now badly needs backup to hold the fort if someone of the two will have to rest. I just do hope that they still have some money left to fill the gap on their roster.
Yup! I think Kemba is a better fit for the Laker's now that they have LBJ and AD. He is someone that can distribute the ball well AND really score. Butler and LBJ play similar style so I think he is less needed.
