Qatar is already a very rich country. They didn't host WC to make more money because they don't need money. Actually they lost money because of this event. If I remember right this was the most expensive world cup ever hosted. ($200 billion) There is no way Qatar can generate more than $200 billion to make up for the losses.
They might have lost money but they gained something else, they become more visible in the world. Now more people know about this small rich country. That was the biggest reason why they spent so much money on an organisation which they don't even like.

I do not know about you guys, but I gamble because I like it and because it is a hobby as well as an addiction. I'm good with myself, as I already admitted to having an addiction but tried to find and apply techniques to avoid getting off track and spending all of my money on gambling. It's quite easy for me to control my gambling anxiety as I already follow strict rules that help me stay on the line.
What about you guys? Do you have any addiction to gambling? What drives you to gamble? Is it the long shot of having a big profit coming in or is gambling simply a way of spending time for you?
I am not addicted to gambling. I play games casually every once in a while and that’s it. I gamble mostly to pass the time and see if I am lucky. I don’t really have that crazy idea of getting rich from gambling because it is a terrible thought which can make you lose everything you got. Gamblers should be reasonable and have realistic expectations from the bets they make. Being greedy is the worst mistake you can make when you are gambling. |

If you don't have serious amounts of investments in stocks and real estate, in other words if you aren't rich, you should learn to fix pipes, be an electrician, home builder, dentist, nurse...
Find a job that AI can't do, at least not in the foreseeable future.
It seems to me being a mathematician is soon to be a dead job. That includes software engineers too.
Nursing old people is already a good paying job and soon, maybe it will be the only job available to us...

I think that this is the only way to majorly effective way to remove exploitative profiteers from the market, stop exit scams and increase transparency of trading activity. As new perpetual/margin trading options become available, like GMX and Dydx (which is unconvincingly completely decentralized, however a seemingly better option than CEXs), the possibility to boycott CEXs becomes more possible.
Do you think an effective boycott campaign against CEXs could happen? What do you think would be needed to do so, other than the manpower? Or do you think that the tentacles have wrapped themselves too far around the industry?
The sad thing is, people actually need them centralized exchanges just as they need banks and other centralized entities. It is because people are too stupid to take responsibility for their own actions. They always make mistakes and seek help from somebody smarter to fix their mistakes. See the IQ map of every country. Actually in an inflationary environment, borrowing money from the bank is a very good financial move. Especially if the interest rates are below the inflation numbers.
The person in question is going to celebrate the new year like he did in the past years. So expecting him to change his spending behaviors is not realistic.

What are you afraid of? Is online gambling illegal in your country? Then crypto gambling will benefit you. You don’t have to go nuts with your security. I have always liked the way artificial intelligence is used, however for many they only saw the way to use the technology to create cars, or comics, but I have seen so many ways to use artificial intelligence that it surprises me that in such a short time can learn things so quickly, not only can they predict what might happen but they have a great probability of seeing beyond what can happen, at the same time it is scary, I like to see a lot of things or how far it can go, but All the predictions that have been made and I prefer the one that predicted that the final would be Argentina vs. Portugal, and that Argentina would win it.
In the end it is just going to be another prediction. Just because the AI makes it, it doesn't mean that it is going to be right all the time. Maybe (and that's a BIG maybe) it will make a difference in the long run but I think none of us have the patience to make hundreds of games to make it work. Most of us are casual gamblers and making bets in a random order. |

I traded some coins on kucoin and binance before. Binance asked for KYC out of the blue and I had to comply just to get my a few hundred bucks out. I haven't had a problem like that with kucoin but that don't mean these exchanges are the safest.

It is pretty hard to stay anonymous on the internet. Especially if you are a dev that has to work on a project all the time. Fixing bugs, creating updates all the time, sooner or later you will make a mistake and lose your anonymity. Hell, even if you do everything right, you still may lose your anonymity because some clever bastard may hack you.
That’s one of the weaknesses of crypto imo. Crypto itself is bullet proof but their devs aren’t.
