You are only 14 years old. You account may violate his terms of service for age requirements.
And where was his ToS? The page doesn't work. He can't hold me to a ToS that doesn't exist.

On Andrew's defense I should say I had some good dealings with him. The way he's been dealing with his services' problems is strange to say the least. Was expecting better from him.
I have had a good dealing with him too (I bought btc on his site for an amazon gift card). I think that he might not have the btc to pay out the winnings. If he had been responding to my emails (and PM's), I wouldn't have made this thread.

BitJack21 has not processed my withdrawal within the 24 hours promised. More specifically, I started it on the 27th at around 6. They have said on their site that it may take a couple of days to process, but it has been a couple of days. I have emailed them about this, and they have ignored the 3 or 4 emails (and PM's) I have sent. I strongly suspect that they don't have enough BTC to pay the winnings. EDIT: I am currently asking people to send Andrew Bitcoiner emails notifying him of this thread. Details are at http://bitcoinpolice.org/p359-Today-18-58-02.html.

I'm not trying to "protect the scammers," but I feel that we shouldn't post his information completely publicly.
Of course his information should be public. The identity of anyone who wants the community to entrust them with thousands of BTC should be public whether they're running an exchange, a HYIP, an online wallet service or some other kind of Bitcoin business. That Trendon Shavers is a scammer is more reason to make that information as widely known as possible in this community and beyond. We got most of his info from Google, so your point about random Googling of his name is pretty weak. I should research more before posting, then. I assumed that he gave you all the info you have, but I guess I was wrong. Nevermind XD.

People in here should calm down with dox'ing people. Im all with you if the person involved did actually scammed you, but you could do it more private, lets say in a private section of this forum, and the mods giving access there to some members after providing some proof, or some other way. I dont say that to protect any scammer, but it could possibly end sadly for the victim(s), according to laws.
Please, dont take this, what i typed, wrong
FFS. pirate was doxxed long before his ponzi collapsed precisely because the identity of someone to whom the community is entrusting hundreds of thousands of dollars (millions, if you believe the upper estimates) should be publicly known. This. Everyone knew his identity anyways, but I do agree that it SHOULD be in a place that only involved forum members should access. It's not great for random people on the Internet to google "pirateat40" and get all his info. I'm not trying to "protect the scammers," but I feel that we shouldn't post his information completely publicly.

I can be a PHP dev, but I would prefer to know what I would be working on before committing to anything.

Intersango did not purchase any part of Bitcoinica.
Bitcoinica did not purchase any part of Intersango.
This is a lie that has been pushed by Roger Ver who is an owner in businesses who are direct competitors with Intersango.
Let me repeat. It's a lie.
Care to explain this then? https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_ECG6JRZs-7VVFGdUVZd3UycGc/editOh right, it was Wendon Group that traded you personally some shares of Bitcoinica for shares of Intersango. The actual contract clearly shows Intersango was not owned by or responsible for the operation of bitcoinica. Something you have now confirmed you had knowledge of prior to filling suit alleging as much. I'll see you in court. He just got owned.

I gave Hal a VIP tag even though he didn't donate because he is nearly as much of a Bitcoin legend as Satoshi IMO. He received the first-ever Bitcoin transaction, and he's been contributing to Bitcoin since before 0.1 was released.
I have a feeling I'm going to sound stupid for saying this, but who is Hal again? What is his forum nick?

OT: What's so bad about it? I no get
People like psy (and probably me as well) are going to start squatting on other peoples URL's, and then take the payments which were supposed to go to the original owner. Donations for this helpful post go here: http://payb.tc/pirateat40So fine. You made the post, so you get the donation? If nobody has clicked on it in a year... I sincerely doubt it's still active.

You're getting defensive because I indirectly (and hypothetically) called you a scammer.
I'm not getting defensive, because I am not planning on any such businesses. It was all just hypothetical, so I hypothetically got defensive about your hypothetical accusation. It's all good though Well, I think I could have hypothetically gotten offended based on your hypothetical question to start an illegal business (hypothetically). This could hypothetically been super-illegal, and I hypothetically found it hypothetically necessary to hypothetically discourage you from hypothetically starting a hypothetically illegal business. Hypothetically.

This is a bad idea...
Or a very good one, depending on which side you are Oh shit, we have to take sides? I think payb.tc is rich, so imma go with him. OT: What's so bad about it? I no get

Can it burn stuff?
As a side note, I guess he really did make a genuine mistake in sending me a broken laser.
The factories that make all these cheap electronics have really bad quality control procedures, roughly 5% of the stuff they sell to wholesalers is DOA. Ok, I'm not gonna bother the guy. He seems innocent enough.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but just in case anybody was interested, I got my laser today (same merchant as OP). It seems about as bright as one I got about a year ago for $12. That means it's among the brightest lasers I've ever seen, but I've never seen an expensive one. Here's a pic of the warning label. Can it burn stuff? As a side note, I guess he really did make a genuine mistake in sending me a broken laser.
