1621  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 09, 2023, 02:47:50 PM
Although the possibility that all of this is a bull trap is always there.
But a bull trap shouldn't last this long otherwise it will lose its trap-ness! After all the trend reversal started a month ago and price has had a nice solid rise from $16k to above $20k and stayed there ever since.

I think BTC at anything above 20k USD is bull territory after hitting the lows of 16k imho.  But if it goes down below 20k but holds 16k then I think it's another great time to buy.  If it fails to hold 16k, jfc help us as 10k - 12k would be in the cards.  Let's hope none of that sht happens.

Anyway the poll has 22 votes for yes and 3 votes for no.  Looks like sentiment has changed 180 degrees from the last couple of months prior to January.  Still three weeks til the end of the month.  BTC could still end up in the green.

Anyway, some talks going around that Emmett has some sort of hip injury coming into this fight.  Not sure about it tho.  It could be just that.  Rumors.
Where are you hearing these rumours? I swear, sometimes I feel like I go in blind because I never really hear this type of thing, and just bet on tape I've watched in the past. Knowing some of this insider stuff could be what gives me my big break Tongue.

They've been going around for the last couple of days or so with tweets like this...

https://twitter.com/anyaction_/status/1623417079436283904

I'm really not sure if it's all being spread on purpose cos it's all a rumor or if there's some insider leak from Emmett's team.  But one thing's for sure, the lines are kinda moving towards Rodriguez's favor.  His line was 1.67 a week ago and now it's at around 1.58 - 1.59 depending on the book.

So the rumor and seeing how the line is reacting prolly shows that there's some truth to it..?

We've been looking at the car reveals without talking about what really matters for you guys itt...  The early lines and outright odds before the start of the season.  Wink

I'm not sure what's really new with the cars technically but if there were some new rules, I think they wouldn't that big of a deal unlike the spec changes from 2021 to 2022.  So these lines should be accurate and reflects the correct price for the drivers and the teams.

Drivers top 3 in the outright to win the championship are Verstappen at 1.73, Hamilton at 4 and Leclerc at 6.25

Constructors at top 3 are Red Bull at 1.95, Merc at 2.40 and Ferrari at 5.75.

So what do you guys think?  Any chance Merc or Ferrari snag the top spot from RBR this year?

Reed really isn't that good on the ground and even if she is at this match, Lookboonmee as the shorter fighter has a lower center of gravity that could make it harder for Reed to take her down.  If anything I think it's Lookboonmee who could take Reed down via body lock and trip take down.  But pretty confident it will stay on the feet. I got her at the top.

As for Volk, I get why some folks fancy him.  The line is too wide imho as Volk is tough.  It could go for the whole 5 rounds and I worry about Makhachev's cardio if pushed.
I've seen some decent ground game from her, it's just she's awful getting there. Although, I'll be going for Lookboonmee her striking is crisp, and she gets the volume out there. In close matches where a finish isn't probable then volume wins you the fights.

Yeah, I've seen Makhachev's cardio struggle before, and Volky is literally the king of cardio. I'm not betting on it, as it's just too unpredictable, but I'll be cheering on Volk you can guarantee that. A few weeks ago when they first announced the odds he was at 4.00 which is absolutely crazy to be rated that low. I haven't checked yet, but will be tomorrow when I hope to get the predictions out for this event.

^  It's either gonna be a long and close match with guys siding with Volk going 'see, what did you guys expect?' or a really short one with Makhachev subbing Volk in under 2.5 rounds with the Makhachev guys saying 'see, what did you guys expect?'.  Cheesy

Whatever happens, it's gonna be a great event.  Can't wait for the weigh ins and the face offs!

Anyway, some talks going around that Emmett has some sort of hip injury coming into this fight.  Not sure about it tho.  It could be just that.  Rumors.

Manchester City in the Mud! Following a four-year investigation, Premier Leaue charged this fraud team with numerous violations of financial rules.

If Man City is found guilty on 50% of the charges, they could face a 15-point deduction or even expulsion from the Premier League. The funniest thing is that even if they lose 15 points, they will still be ahead of Livarpool.. Grin

Never seen anything like it. Pep to Chelsea?

More like Guardiola to retire out of embarassment and will return to Catalonia for a long sabbatical.  He trusted the Man City brass that they didn't have any shenanigans of this sort going on behind the club.  He could've been aware that something was going on but nothing seriously to be concerned over.  If it's all true, damn...  That's gonna turn everything they worked for upside down.  Hate to see it but what happens next should happen.

Now no elite manager is gonna want to touch City now after Guardiola's contract runs out.  Not to mention top players.

Edit:  Oh there's a match rn...  Leeds a goal up vs United.  I have United 3 - 0 in our pool.  :/

The thing about F1 car reveals is it's not really about the cars and the technical specs of the cars per se.  That comes later for a myriad of reasons.  They prolly don't want other teams copying their stuff or the real car isn't ready yet..  Who knows.  But yeah, the car reveals is mostly about the livery and showing the sponsors.  It's a marketing and PR thing.

That's why I've mostly stopped getting excited for these before the season reveals as we don't really learn a lot about the cars.  That comes during FP1 of the first racing event.

Lol...  I'm pretty sure you'll be betting on some of the matches at 284 then.  Wink  Since it's a 'shouldn't miss' event and all.  Grin  But yeah, I looove watching MMA, so I just couldn't not make at least a lottery ticket and out a little something in it.

Anyway here's what my lottery ticket for 284 might look like.  Haven't bet it yet.

Tukughov - Mackhachev - Lookboonmee
Add:  Pedro - Maddalena - Rodriguez
Add:  Bilder - Rodrigues - Porter
Add:  Jenkins - Mullarkey - Culibao
Add:  Menifield
You know it. I'm probably fancying Volkanovski, but I'm liking your Maddalena, Mullarkey, and Lookboonmee picks. The latter I'd probably be the most concerned with, since Elise Reed is pretty good on the ground, just not great getting it there. Lookboonmee has the volume though, so I do feel somewhat confident in that pick. I'll get my proper picks out closer to the date, but that's my early leans, and for the most part I agree with your picks.

Although, I said I fancy Volky I'm absolutely not betting on that fight. Too many variables, but I've doubted Volkanovski before, but it turns out you just can't go against a ex rugby player Wink.

Ford is also interested for 2026 to be in F1!

The move that is making teams want to enter is the use of synthetic fuels.
They want to enter formula 1 to develop the technology and then use it in normal cars.

Yup and the partnership isn't something new.  Ford and Red Bull were partners before when Red Bull was still Jaguar before it was bought be the Austrian company.  So good to see Ford back with their former partner and see them manufacture new power units.

I also just heard that Ferrari offered Christian Horner a deal to join the Italian team..?  Is this true or is it just a rumor?  It's funny if they really tried to poach Horner away from RBR.  They should've tried years ago and offered big money for Horner, Vettel and Newey as a package.  If they got those three, I think it's possible that Ferrari would've won at least one driver's championship and a constructor's championship.
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 07, 2023, 02:41:55 PM
I'll have another one of my lottery tickets for 284 but if I just break even or lose, I won't be having one for a couple of events.  It's funny as it doesn't matter if my bet is big or small, they all stress me out.  Something is wrong with me.  I don't seem to mind much in football tho.  There's something about betting MMA.

And yeah, Lewis is dead to me now.
It's your hard earned money at the end of the day, so of course you'll care. However, if you feel it getting to you, it might be good to have a few weeks off. You don't want to get into that toxic cycle of trying to recoup what you've lost from the last event, as you likely won't. Since, there's always a massive favourite that shuts down your entire bet. Guess, who mine was in Bellator? The biggest favourite there was on that card...

I've tapered off betting as much recently, and only do it to events I'm actually going to watch. There's no point betting on something you can't enjoy that tense feeling that betting brings. Otherwise, you're probably doing it for the wrong reasons. I'm not saying you're tokeweed you've obviously been betting for a good period of time now, so I imagine you're responsible, but I hope it's not getting you down too much.

Lol...  I'm pretty sure you'll be betting on some of the matches at 284 then.  Wink  Since it's a 'shouldn't miss' event and all.  Grin  But yeah, I looove watching MMA, so I just couldn't not make at least a lottery ticket and out a little something in it.

Meanwhile, Everton should have led at HT -- 2 of the best chances, where's DCL's nose for goal gone? I did think Dyche would bring this effect -- switching some players to positions they hadn't played in years.

Dyche is really a decent manager.  I prolly should've paid more attention before making these parlays as I honestly really didn't know he was coming to replace Lampard.  I just found out when the match started.  Lolol.

Sean Dyche could just be the manager to bring back Everton to consistently finish midtable every season just as the genius Moyes did back in the day.

Anyway, another potentially good manager to look out for is Vincent Kompany who is doing well at Burnley rn.

Here are the result for my picks for Bellator 290: Bader vs. Emelianenko 2

Ryan Bader VS Fedor Emelianenko ROUND 1 KO/TKO - WIN

Father time is not really kind to Fedor Emelianenko you can see that Emelianenko now struggles with his balance, but like what I have seen with what is happening to Glover Texeira their age has caught up to them, and there is no stopping the process of getting old, Emelianenko got out the balance with Dark Bader's punches and you can surely see that Fedor Emelianenko really can't keep up with The Dark Bader ending the fight with a bloodied emperor,

Johnny Eblen VS Anatoly Tokov ROUND 5 DECISION - WIN

What a Performance for Johnny Eblen securing his 1st title defense it was a unanimous decision victory, and you can see in the 1st round Eblen is pressuring Tokov in the corner, and with Precision strikes from Johnny Eblen those punches were accurate you will know that he was not throwing random punches and the judges were all for him in this fight,

Henry Corrales VS Akhmed Magomedov ROUND 3 DECISION - LOST

Well, the only loss that I get in this card, and I thought that the undefeated will still finish his fight unscathed but Henry Corrales got a great takedown defense and Henry Corrales surely is using his height and weight advantage so he could not be taken down by Magomedov, that is why he had doubted himself if he can takedown Corrales, and I have noticed that Akhmed Magomedov looks weak side by side with Henry Corrales, so for me, he needs to build more muscle or even strength because that is the way to win against guys with great takedown defense, you need to mull them with your strength,

Yup, I thought Fedor had somewhat of a chance before the event.  Lol.  Like Lewis I feel like they're just out there to fight and treating it more like a job and as a way to earn money now rather than going out there for the glory and the W then somehow getting a title shot.  I guess it comes with age.

Henry Corrales on the other hand, schooled Magomedov and showed him what's what.  I think the line was something over 3 to 1.  Bellator events used to have most of the favorites winning.  Now it looks like the books aren't as sharp as they used to.  Could be good to start paying more attention to it.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 06, 2023, 03:30:32 PM
^^ Devin Clark surprised me with his offence and takedowns and that kind of fighting style had an impact on Da Un Jung to open up and land his patented elbows, it was a great fight plan by Devin Clark and i lost one parlay because of that  Cry.

Was expecting Derrick Lewis to bounce back and win but another wrestling masterclass from Serghei Spivac who ragdolled Derrick Lewis as if he was some lower weight division fighter  Cheesy.

Exactly.  I kinda expected that Jung could be a pie shtter but I didn't expect him to be that huge a pie shtter.  I prolly should've known.  His name is Jung...  :/  But yeah, I suck at this.

^  Then I'd say their lists are out dated too.  But then again as you said, it's just a matter of opinion.  I've gambled using Nitrogen, Nitrobetting and Betcoin.  I could def say that Stake trumps all sports betting sites in crypto rn.  It has the best lines, good props and has live betting for MMA.  The way the site layout was made is one of the best too imho.

Another book in crypto worth looking into is Betnomi for uncommon sports like surfing if you guys are into that sort of thing.

^  And there's a tech billionaire who seems to have a soft spot for the coin.  All he has to do is sneeze DOGE's name and it and all other coins related to it goes up by a lot and doing a 5x in a couple of weeks...  I'm telling you guys, DOGE will bring about one of the most hilarious outcomes in crypto via increased market cap challenging the top coins.  And here's the thing, a lot of people in the space don't want it to happen because they want everybody to take crypto seriously.  But you know.. with everything that went on for the past year, it's really hard to take it seriously...

The only good think today for Chelsea was the magnificent game made by Enzo Fernandez, really good crosses and passing, one key passes.

But asides of that.... nothing new below the sky, maybe a some good things of Madueke but nothing important. Mudryk.... NOTHING.

No body did anything in this match for Chelsea. Had goals and moneyline on Chelsea but they just couldnt do anything today. They are so bad that im thinking of betting every game against them in the future. A new coach is a must in this team for sure. Everything is awful

It's not the manager, it's the players and prolly the club overall.  Put a good manager in there and it'll just be mostly more of the same.  They aren't the team that won the CL with Tuchel anymore.  Not sure what went on after when Roman Abramovich left but these guys haven't looked really great since winning the CL.

And about Enzo, I'm not really convinced with the guy yet.  Not especially with his price tag.  :/

Anyway, I got a parlay with Arsenal, Brentford, Brighton and Newcastle at 5.70 and it looks like it's ending with the first match.
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 04, 2023, 01:01:43 PM
Be care tho.  Now I feel like I should've waited for the weigh ins and the face offs.  Lol.  There are some pie shtters up there now that I think about it.  Jung is a risk, JY Park, Kim and prolly Kinoshita too.
I'm probably going to put a small amount on a bet, but it'll be different to the actual predictions I put. Here's what I'm thinking:

Derrick Lewis by TKO/KO
Mandy Bohm by decision
Denis Tiuliulin
Tatsuro Taira

Now, that isn't the best odds, but I think those are the only one's that offer value, and at the same time don't worry me massively. As you can see, I've actually gone against some of my predictions, and gone for the massive underdog in Mandy Bohm. I wouldn't follow this bet, as it's definitely on the risky side, but that's what I'm going to put a small amount on. I haven't seen the weigh ins yet either.

What would your favourites be? I might incorporate a rather long accumulator with the Bellator guys on tonight.

Favorites that I really like for Bellator?  Gracie and Eblen.  As for the UFC, they're mostly sketchy but I'd still go for Jung for the lack of a better choice and Taira.  I got both at the top of my lottery ticket and another guy.

Another underdog who could win is Yi Zha as he as the experience edge.

Here are the weigh in and the face off vids.

Blagoy Ivanov (256.5) vs Marcin Tybura (253.5)
Dooho Choi (145.5) vs Kyle Nelson (145.5)
Adam Fugitt (170.5) vs Yusaku Kinoshita (170.5)

Junyong Park (185.5) vs Denis Tiuliulin (186)
Jesus Aguilar (125) vs Tatsuro Taira (125.5)
