So far Barabbas was reasonably spot on with his analyses and assessments, especially the VRC specific ones, so lets check out NAUT :-)))

Do that. And I also would suggest you take a look at Saffron since you are technically inclined and there are a lot of great things already in there at a very undervalued price in my opinion. I just suggested them to reconsider their project of decentralized exchange that I believe is a step on the wrong direction to any coin and, especially in their case, a waste of time, efforts and other resources.

The wallet alone is like ions ahead of any other in crypto.

Full disclosure to add: I am currently not invested in neither... which, according to pants-boy is all but a guarantee they they will do good pricewise.
I plan on investing on both as soon as I find it convenient, though.

You are not invested in saffron why not, get in before it explodes !!! They have a faucet you can use I believe if you are short.

I am a modest investor but not a "faucet modest" one, so I will buy  some Saffron soon, almost for sure (love that wallet!).

Regarding your other questions, I have no opinion yet on Burst. Next is, far and away, the best platform (not just a coin) out there but, as a coin, it has a horrendous distribution for it is in fact in the hands and whims of some 72 holders who control over 90% of it, therefore -as it has happened before- if just one of them decides to dump because he wants to live as a millonaire, the price will sink by 70-90% instantly, which makes it too risky to hold in my opinion. That said, at current prices in the low 5s, it can only go up and quite significantly.

Pink has corrupt devs that have been dumping it off-market and on-market for months. Some of them are on another failed, botched project, SEED coin, where they control more than 35% of the coin -worthless, by the way-. PINK therefore has become a joke and I believe it will continue plummeting.

Any one knows, are these Vericoin cheerleaders scammers or they completely delusional and ignore the reality? Most of them like Lootz have daily job so they can't be stupid/delusional, so they must be scammers or some kind of con artists.

I just saw Lootz was posting that the pool has been switched off (another failure of course) and he says the buying pressure is coming back to Vericoin, because Supernet and the usual BS about how Vericoin will have world dominance very soon ... to scam people into this failing operation.

Just delusional. And not exactly bright, of course.

Not sure why there is only 3 people talking in this whole thread, but I like saffron coin please do not talk ill of them

So far all comments have been positive towards Saffron. Even by the idiots, which is not just surprising but shocking, in fact.

I just posted on their thread a couple of questions regarding a feature that, in my opinion -and I stressed this several times- is a misguided effort: A decentralized marketplace.

I'm sure though that some zealots will find such a thing "talking ill", as you put it.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BYTECENT DISASTER on: November 13, 2014, 12:00:18 AM
The vote is not a fair vote.  There are plenty of people that have been banned from the site due to comments that have been labeled as trolling or fud.  Some of those comments are neither yet we remain banned and unable to cast a vote.

It isn't intended to be fair. It is intended to validate the fleecing of the investors and the personal opinion of IconicExpert that, as usual, is willfully unaware that he's performing his crypto harakiri.

I once thought this guy was intelligent... boy was I wrong on that count...

Who runs Coinblab? IE?

I don't think so. But whoever does, is quick to fill his requests since this is to me knowledge the first ICO launched with ANN thread over there and not on BTCT, so it amounts to the same thing. Again to my knowledge, none of the people banned there has done anything other than very comprehensibly and understandably, protest what were obvious, outrageous violations of the statement made by the dev (IE) in it's ICO offer.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VRC] | VeriCoin | POS-NSDI | VeriBit | VeriSend | VeriSMS | SuperNET Core on: November 12, 2014, 11:01:09 PM
This thread should be called the butthurt troll thread, where trolls get to chat lol, theres literally 2-3 of u trolls why don't u exchange phone numbers its much easier lol so so sad and pathetic, btw barabbas i like the way every single coin your mention or touch just withers away lol #bro #naut and the best one so far iconic experts coin lulz dude get a job! shit is not looking good for you lulz altcoinUK we already know he lost all his money thats why he won't sell, its understandable but barabbas lol your just sad....Hows naut going now that bryce isn't with block tech anymore? Funny how your banned from every forum/thread that isn't unmoderated lolololol obviously you fight for unmoderation cause then you'd have no voice! bahahahh Oh what was that? Naut coming to vrc for help? lol of course just like arch did, guess these devs see something in our devs that you 2 don't Wink now go deal with your BYC problems lulz

I'll let you in on a "secret" pants-boy: I sold on the recent James-induced run up at the 14-15 level. Unfortunately, only just over half my total, quite modest stake, so, really, VRC to me of very limited financial meaning. Just about a sale of 15 pants for you, pants-boy. How is your "investment" in VFRC doing though? Oh I know you are more than compensated with all the fun you are having letting your rampant stupidity flow on public forums (non moderated ones, that is, in others even co-cheerleaders feel ashamed of you, as you know) something not your brothers, not your associates, not your wife will ever put up with. So it is a priceless release. I get it. I got it from the get go... I am forecasting it will last a few more months too, so you will stay intact entering the new year and beyond. What won't be intact is the VRC price, I can assure you that. I expect you have that investment away from the wife because if not, it isn't going to be a pretty picture, I tell you.

Oh and don't worry too much about my investment in BYC. It's about half a dozen pants for you, maybe a bit more (I know you buy in China, so it's cheaper there). Nothing to worry about.

But, involuntarily, of course, you bring up an interesting point: NAUT. Yes, Brian Kelly is buying the dynamic interest for Naut. What on VTC is worthless, in Naut is valuable. I very clearly see that. Let me explain it to you very slowly so you can catch on: Brian Kelly KNOWS what he's doing, as opposed to the Stooges. And he is buying the elements that he needs, for instance, dynamic interest. Why is it valuable for him? Because he is positioning Naut where Vericoin should be: As the first crypto currency in line to meet the requirements of regulators. See? while VRC with the stooges runs in the opposite direction, on it way to oblivion, Brian Kelly positions his NAUT to be first in line to be regulated. It's the difference between a seasones investment professional and three... well, stooges.

I'm sure you will eventually get it, if you give it a little time to sink in... like 2-3 hours should do the trick.

Damn thats what all your fuss is over?... equivalent to a few pairs of pants i make in china... lulz this gets better n better ever post. (btw I make most my products in Japan) Wink Since your so strapped for cash I do feel for you, so whenever you feel ill gladly send you some clothes so your butt hurts a little less Wink

AltcoinUK although I do like naut and specifically saffron, I would be very careful on the advice you take from barbadook, figured you've learnt your lesson when u followed him like a puppy dog into brocoin, but hey your not the brightest tool in the shed Wink

I'm sure you are referring to BreakOut coin, a very interesting project that hasn't even happened yet -and in which, as I have stated publicly several times- I am not invested.

Then again, you get pants made for a living, you are not supposed to be able to think. Your wife and brothers do that for your, for their own survival, of course.

Another TERRIBLE mistake IE. And so predictable too: A vote? a vote, in order to be even remotely close to fair, would require that ONLY those community members who INVESTED in the ICO, voted. What are going to vote the captcha-fillers that haven't invested a rted cent in the project and now have several hundreds FREE coins, to relaunch? To issue a refund?

This is you, IconicExpert, pretending to validate your opinion with a vote that will be responded to, mainly, by people that have no investment whatsoever in the project... and that will dump their captcha-filled coins as soon as the market opens regardless of the price. It's a ridiculous charade, one more.

On a separate note, whose are those 2 wallets with 346 and 292 addresses respectively?

Clean this shit and do what you KNOW perfectly well is to do the right thing, or this project is DOA. Enough jerking off already.

And more lies IE: I just checked it and on average it mines 13 coins per minute, 30% MORE than what you just posted it is mining. This at 2:37 PM, Pacific

hey barabbas those are definitely some good points that i'm sure the devs are keeping in the back of their heads. But if i'm not mistaken SFRDirect, SFR's decentralized exchange, will be based on the counterparty protocol, and those familiar with the counterparty protocol know that a decentralized exchange is only touching the surface of the true potential of the protocol. A lot of really cool things can be done and built on top of it that are 100% legal in the eyes of the law (look at companies like overstock who are already investigating and looking to implement these applications).

While your concerns are valid, I just don't think the correlate with shutting down the entire project Smiley

@ Rosham

First of all congrats on your nominations.

I am doing research on your project and have a couple of questions that I would like you to answer if you will:

-- The projected "Decentralized exchange" you mention in the Roadmap, is still a go I assume since it is also in the header of this thread. Are you willing to reconsider that project in view of the recent actions of multinational agencies that have so far gotten Defcom in jail and over 400 "decentralized" web sites closed with promises for similar sweep and swift actions to come to the digital currencies world in the next future? And if not, why not since regulation and legal prosecution would clearly endanger the viability of your project?

Thanks in advance for your answers and congratulation also on your wallet. Quite impressive.

Hi barabbas,

The decentralized asset exchange and other decentralized tools will definitely be released.
Decentralized tools are not banned. The websites that got banned probably used decentralization for illegal activities like silkroad. I don't think as long as you use this   protocol for not doing anything illegal, would there be a problem.
If that was the case then bitcoin would be banned in all countries.
But there could be issues with regulations. That is something we need to look at once it arrives. Hopefully we can figure out something that would benefit everyone when the time comes.

Thank you for such quick answer.

The obvious argument would be that there's no way to prevent illegal usage of a decentralized exchange, therefore it will be taken down by authorities, even before regulation shuts it down.

I guess what I am questioning is how wise it is to dedicate efforts and other resources to such a project -which, by the way, dozens of other coins are in different processes of offering and some already do-, since it's real value is doubtful at best right now and very, very dangerous at worst.

In my opinion, you could have a much productive fruit of your obvious talents concentrating on developing more innovative project, within this coin, instead. But that just my opinion, of course.

Thanks again and good luck!

There's no problem at all with LEGAL exchange... except that it needs to be regulated (so governments get a piece of the action, that's how things work). The [problem is with the INEVITABLE illegal activities that would plague a decentralized exchange. It doesn't matter if 1 in 100 -or the opposite- are illegal. Those are what would cause the shutdown and/or prosecution. In my opinion, not worth the risk at all but, again, just my personal opinion.

BitBay is the latest one announced, but there are dozens of others in different stages of development -or already active- including very well funded ones on SuperNET and BlockNet.
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BRO] Breakout Coin Genesis Sale | Proof-of-Bergstake | Poker | Fantasy on: November 12, 2014, 09:14:40 PM

next price: 1 bitcoin buys 3,500 BRO at block 329795

Why would anyone do this ?
I cant imagine anyone buying into the ICO after it left the 5500 range.
It makes no sense at all.
The 8% that u had before for early investors was fair this is just crazy.
I like the new deal for the bergstake glad u saw it my way in the end.
But now u have robbed me of the chance to invest i would have been interrested at the 6500 range but  or even 8% over that but whats happening now is beyond all reason who thought up this construction?
It is just a very poor, unfortunate decision by the dev team that, obviously, will not work. It has ZERO chance to work.

The dev team simply tried the impossible, which is to please everyone instead of doing the proper thing which was the initial plan of letting the market itself determine the price. This is going to be a mess in the end, I'm afraid.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BYTECENT DISASTER on: November 12, 2014, 09:08:46 PM
This is so amazing, really: Iconic's enormous ego is being stroked against doing the obvious right thing, by captcha-fillers that did not even invest any real money in the project.

Way to go IE...
1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BYTECENT DISASTER on: November 12, 2014, 08:51:13 PM
Bytecent ICO investors: So far, your investment has been diluted by 21.25%, more than 1/5. That means that money, regardless at what price the market determines it's exchange, has been taken away from your pockets by the disastrous, arbitrary, instamined launch. Demand from Bittrex a refund of that IconicExpert relaunches in a fair, level field.

Besides, if there's no relaunch, the project is as good as DOA. Very simple.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BYTECENT DISASTER on: November 12, 2014, 08:27:26 PM
A few minutes ago in his twitter:

IconicExpert ‏@IconicExpert  9m9 minutes ago
Some of you are unhappy with the start of mining and we hear you. So we are considering a relaunch to address your concerns. Stay tuned...

There's hope to reverse this mess. Awaiting developments, but it seems some sense has made through his skull... perhaps Bittrex's common sense?

Edit to add:

IconicExpert, of course there's a GOOD option, a fair one: Relaunch with everyone with working wallets AND -this is MOST IMPORTANT, because it eliminates the issue altogether-, an strictly enforced limit of a maximum of 1440 coins mined per day. Do that and the issue fully disappears and the project continues as expected and with everyone in it cheering the fairness of the decision. It's the right thing to do. Have always been the right thing to do.

BYTECENT

I had already included IconicExpert in THE WALL OF SHAME for his very irregular -and explained in detail in this thread- involvement in the case of the BC community donations for a proposed Wall Street event that never took place.
and yet you bought into his IPO  Grin Grin

Yes. As detailed at the time -and fully available here- I happen to believe that, while inexcusably clumsy, lazy and inconsiderate, his deception of the BC donors wasn't either a scam or a theft.

I bought, very modestly, into BYC IPO because I also believed it was a great idea with plenty of potential. To this point even, I choose to believe -at the risk of being possibly wrong-, that BYC is not a scam, just a mess caused by the erratic, absurd and ultimately self damaging actions of this individual, IconicExpert, that, for some egocentric, unmanageable personal problem, in my opinion, chooses always to destroy even his most promising projects for no apparent reason other than to gain enormous amounts of totally negative publicity.

It's quite baffling to me, actually.

EDIT TO ADD (11-16-2014):

Forced, no doubt, by Bittrex, there was a period of 48 hours in which every investors in Bytecent could sell their coins against a wall at 50k satoshis. To me that means the launch, again, is clean since everyone had the opportunity to cash out of the unexpected mess and, since, the mess seems to have stabilized and it appears that mining is what it should have been from the beginning.

The events of the past days though have offered yet another vision of a very disturbed, insecure man in IconicExpert and, consequently, I will not be supporting Bytecent even after having corrected the mess. I wish him and every remaining investor good luck though.

Now, he and the coin he has developed, BYTECENT, "grace" this wall once again, not just deservedly but actually begging to be included with yet more deceiving, arbitrary activity that will be much better examined through my posts and those of others in the thread THE BYTECENT DISASTER: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855217.0

Big dumps in all markets.

In the meantime Pnosker is doing work for an exchange, this time to evaluate IE's coin. It seems this work out for the devs, they are getting more and more work, first ARCH and now IE's coin. In the meantime the bag holders left with a stagnating coin and no development whatsoever.

Brian Kelly, of NAUT, also wants to use their dynamic interest feature, so they will surely be "helping" him as we speak...

And don't forget the (regular) job and quarterly evaluations. Ah, you are so demanding... the kids also need to have their fun, you know?

At this point (fresh multi-months low at 4200 this past 24 hours), only pants-boy, Scott, silver-coin boy and the eyes-transformed-in-$$$, Kevondo (radio:asset...hum), still believe in this shit. Oh and that lootz idiot, of course. Cheerleaders are dwindling fast and the rats are about to start jumping ship nen masses, I believe.
All the dumps in the Alt-markets could mean there is a rally on bitcoin coming.
