That fontas guy clearly messages that he will use 400 bitcoin to pump mooncoin. Is that really legal? His id is fontase_bter I think.

I think he got arrested a while back actually, but not sure what for.

Next big coin is INFINITECOIN, get some here free: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=425823.0

Done, although wouldn't really say it's gonna be the next big coin. Far too many of them for that.

I like Infinitecoin because its name is ironic  Grin.

Done all three requirements (same name as here): iPkMVrrPyh5MTqYLvU19mYYEyfYP3i92Tb
16423  Other / Meta / Re: newbies section on: January 23, 2014, 12:47:15 PM
Newbie section was pretty useful, but I think that it was full of the same "Hi, I'm just writing my obligatory first post. Here is another sentence." type posts with the occasional "Why can't I reply on the other boards?" posts haha.

I guess we will see what the effects of removing that and newbie jail will do for the boards. If the moderators are sharp (with the help of the community) then any crap can be dealt with before it becomes a problem.

If think there would've been an easier solution to that. As soon as you clicked to write a new post/ start a thread a few bulletpoint reminders come up before you're allowed to post:

  • You only need to make one post and browse for four hours
  • You do not need to start a new thread
  • Do not start a new thread just to say hi
  • Do not spam your referral links anywhere, put them in your signature
  • Don't post about alt coins here
  • blah blah blah etc etc etc.

Or just a friendly reminder for you to read the newbie readme where all this info could be found. I think that would've cut down half the threads in there.

what you will be able to vote for on blockchain ? Shocked
sorry, I'm newbie Smiley

Anything you want to that requires a democratic vote.
16425  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.8BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! *Updated on: January 23, 2014, 12:32:21 PM
Last month payment was beautiful, Frankly speaking my Bitcoin wallet saw first coin. I was and am so happy with this signature advertise and its payment, I am waiting for my activity to be 56 so i could sign up according to the updated rules.

In the meantime there are other deals available: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333916.0

Bet777 pay the same as Stunna if you get the money sent to your gambling account and you can start now.

You will have to join the sad people at the kids table for a while like me until i'm allowed back into this sig!

Isn't it pretty much the same deal for you anyway?
now many signature services working any one can join good thing is healthy competition is around here

Competition is good, but not if all the spammers or newbs just jump ship to another sig deal it wont be.

I though that I have read somewhere that Stunna was going to adjust the earnings for this month again. Allthough I can't find this post anymore.. Does anyone know whether this is true?

And when this will be? I hope he's going to increase the earnings this month ^^. Allthough I'll stay loyal anyway.

Don't think so, but he did mention a new giveaway with the release of  PD3.

Given your trust rating, you are not welcome in our program and won't be paid so you should take off our signature.

Looks like the only trust on this guy is a positive one.  I don't know him but I just thought I'd point it out.  The other thing I want to say is that the trust system can be abused.  TradeFortress put some random negative trust on me even though he admitted in a discussion thread that I actually hadn't had any dealing with him.
Trust system is a good idea but you have to take it with a pretty big grain of salt IMHO.

Holdaaja and Stunna of Primedice had a disagreement and he was only paid half the money he thought he was owed. Holdaaja left negative feedback on Stunna then Stunna did the same to him. They must've worked out their differences because it has now been removed. But I agree, the trust system can easily be abused.

16428  Other / Meta / Re: End of newbie restrictions; ban changes on: January 23, 2014, 12:15:43 PM
I definitely like the idea of ending newb restrictions, they were definitely keeping a lot of users from the site. The four hour wait/post requirement was pretty brutal, I remember posting mostly useless replies to get past that. I do think it is necessary to have a "Newbie/Beginners" section though as it was definitely a good net for spam and basic bitcoin questions.

I think a four hour wait being 'brutal' is a bit of an overstatement  Grin. It's annoying for sure especially when you want to get posting, but making one post and browsing around four hours isn't exactly torture. Maybe we could've got rid of the four hour wait but kept the one post rule whilst confining them to the newb section. The effects of the restrictions being lifted will only become apparent over the next few weeks, but I don't think the newbie section should've been archived regardless.

p.s. I'm not going to get an Iphone when I can afford it because I want to use something that I can install the Bitcoin wallet app on Cheesy

You can install the Blockchain.info app on there  Grin.
16430  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people think income tax is ok? on: January 23, 2014, 12:04:06 PM
And if we got rid of the government and the services they provide, then you'd be forced to pay top price for second rate services, because most people wouldn't be able to afford to pay for premium services. But I guess it'd be your choice to see your house burn down and your children die in the street, right?

I'd say exactly the opposite. Your tax money is very high and you get second rate services.
Public healthcare services are poor, and many firms have to hire security agents because in many cities, the police forces have failed to deliver what was expected from them.

It's high for who exactly? And hiring security personal is up to the individual business. The police are not there to keep an eye on the contents of your store 24/7, but if there was any trouble the police would be the first people they call as security guards are essentially powerless.

People often complain that public services are shoddy yet I've never really had any problems with the NHS or police or environmental health services etc etc nor do I know anyone who has. Could they be run more efficiently and better? Of course. If I had any say I'd slash the defence budget and stop frittering money away on wars and put that money back into the system, but regardless of that; if your house burns down or you're in a serious accident you'll get sorted fairly quickly, but yeah, you might have to wait a few hours, but I can guarantee you wont get sorted pretty quick if we got rid of all these public services and you had to rely on community & charity emergency services or you couldn't afford to pay for them. People don't seem to think about the impact their choices have on others, just as long as they can say "I want the right to choose", and people already have that, but they'd just rather hypocritically keep paying their taxes and not cause a fuss.
16431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a coin to support the p2p internet on: January 23, 2014, 11:51:45 AM
Hello,
today i have one ideia, the ideia is to create a p2p internet network, like websites distributed in a p2p network supported by mining of a new bitcoin, what do you think?

Pretty sure there's a coin that proposes something like this already. There's so many alt coins that I can't keep up with them all.
16432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next two coins that will make huge jump is... on: January 23, 2014, 11:50:25 AM
Dime and Fedora. Nothing scientific behind it. Just my prediction. But fat fingers choosing cheaper coins and pumping it. They are perfect for next pump I think.

Fontas, is that you?

It has come to my attention that a skype account named "Primedice" is adding tons of people on skype offering to buy BTC or petitioning for loans. This is not me. I have no interest in buying/selling bitcoins and I recommend that everyone uses some sort of escrow regardless of what the circumstances are.

I got that Skype add..  Shocked

Played along with the person for a while haha.

FFS, so you're telling me I'm not gonna get that 10BTC interest on that 1 Bitcoin I loaned you, Stunna?  Grin

How did he get peoples' Skype addys?

I think this list is just for Bitcoin payouts.
he is paying in btc and franko both so I think its ok for added here

actually he is paying in Franko but in BTC value.

Are you sure? That's pretty confusing if it's right.
16437  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.1BTC / month for your signature space - blockchain-reaction.com on: January 23, 2014, 11:11:29 AM
The payment is a bit too low. Stunna offers this up to 4000 posts and youre new.

The payment is the same, only you can make a max total of 500 posts, but I don't know why people would choose this over PD and Bit777 when they're offering the same and have rep.

Exactly, so the payment amounts should increase.

There will have to be some benefit for people to switch over that's for sure.

I see this as healthy competition, actually. It suits better for people who don't spam (no offense to those over 500 posts who don't spam) and the signature is way less intrusive.

Competition and a choice of offers is great, but any rational person would look at this and other offers and think why bother? There needs to be some enticement even if it's a small one. What happens if you get to the 500 posts on this and then you're capped? At least with some of the others you can keep going.
The enticement I was talking about is the signature. It is much less intrusive.

Still not really much of an enticement for most. Stunna has also changed his signatures to smaller ones which aren't much different to the signatures this user is offering.

The deal is not enticing because you are paying same "per post rate" as primedice but have the 500 post limit. There's no incentive to change over for people that post more than 500 times a month. Does the signature have to be exclusive?

You and others wouldn't be able to sign up for this deal or Primedice's as you don't meet the required activity/member status, but you could sign up for the bet777 one and they pay the same if you have the money paid into your betting account.
16438  Other / Meta / Re: Suspicious link removed?! on: January 23, 2014, 11:04:10 AM
Hello

I run a very small pool for a low-hps altcoin(SocialCoin) which was working ok (vary between 10% and 30% of the total coin's hash rate usually) until the last days. I was wondering why the mining pretty much dried up suddenly, when I noticed that in the SocialCoin main post(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412331.0) my pool is no longer listed! Instead it says "http://soc.[Suspicious link removed]" . Is there anything that can lead to that for my whole domain? Did someone complain about something, or what else can be the reason for that happening? I can assure you that my pool was always honest and fair, and afaik I was never hacked(for sure no coins were ever stolen anyway).

So, in the end, what I want to know is what I can do about this?

Thank you

Pretty sure it's just an automatic spam/suspicious link preventative measure. Maybe just break the url up if it's not posting properly. It happens with newbs a lot more than other users I think.
16439  Other / Meta / Re: Newb question on: January 23, 2014, 11:02:33 AM
So I can no longer post or reply in the newbie board.. does that ever change? I still feel like a newbie and would really like to interact there.

You can post and reply, just not start new threads.

So I can no longer post or reply in the newbie board.. does that ever change? I still feel like a newbie and would really like to interact there.

Dont think you can post in the newbie section anymore. Also, i was downgraded to newbie, and i have seen many people as jr.members that have far less posts and activity than me. Not sure how that is correct, but whatever, i dont really care about the title (but i care about the rep for the ability to conduct transactions here).

Reputation was unaffected, unless you mean something different. A few people have complained about the memebergroups not changing right. Maybe it's just a bug or will correct itself with time.
16440  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Question on: January 23, 2014, 10:53:01 AM
Why were they lifted?  Because people stopped spamming the boards or something?

Who knows? The forum gods work in mysterious ways.
