1681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: February 03, 2023, 04:38:42 PM
Possible good spots for underdogs in Bellator 290.  Now don't bet on this without digging for a little more info and a little bit of tape study at MMA Core.  These are all at first glance just by looking at the lines and their Tapology profiles.  Here goes...

Larkin
Isaev
Rohskopf
Neal
Caldwell

Again not sure about it as favorites usually win in Bellator.  But telling you guys anyway for the bragging rights.  Cheesy

Fun parlay could be Gracie, Eblen then gambol on Bader.  That should be a good sweat vs Fedor.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 03, 2023, 04:21:32 PM
Anyway here's my lottery ticket.

Jung - Kinoshita - Taira at 2.01
Add:  JY Park - Kim - Tybura at 6.50
Add:  Choi - Nakamura - H Park at 17.73
Add:  Lee - Jubli at 45.02
Add:  Lewis at 126.05

Just 10 bucks total for the lulz.
Mines probably going to be something similar. Still need to watch a little more tape. I keep boomeranging between Lewis, and Spivak. I promise to have my predictions out by tomorrow Tongue. By the way, I'm not reviewing tape on Lewis or Spivak, I just can't really choose. I'm trying to not take into consideration the weight change, but Lewis has had a rather rough time recently in the cage, and Spivak might play it safe, go for volume, and look to tire Lewis. I also think Lewis will be a little more timid than usual, due to being knocked out a few times now.

Be care tho.  Now I feel like I should've waited for the weigh ins and the face offs.  Lol.  There are some pie shtters up there now that I think about it.  Jung is a risk, JY Park, Kim and prolly Kinoshita too.

And about Lewis, I get it.  Sure he could be a little bit more careful than usual but he still has more experience fighting against the top guys, Spivak isn't really a guy who goes after KO's like Lewis' previous two opponents and Lewis is almost a 3 to 1 underdog.  Wink   I like it.

Anyway in case some of you guys are wondering, my lottery tickets' bet amounts per line are...

5
2
1
1
1

10 bucks total.
1683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best sportsbooks? (MMA and boxing) on: February 03, 2023, 04:12:49 PM
The top books are good for MMA and boxing.

"A" rated books

nitrobetting.eu A+ (2013 Nitrogensports)
betcoin.ag A+ (2013)
playbetr.com A- (2019)

"B"rated books
mBet.io B (2017) Horse racing..
stake.com B- (2019) sportsbook, (2014) casino.

"C" rated books
Bitsler.com C+ (2015)
fortunejack.com C+ (2019) sportsbook, (2014) casino.
anonibet.com  C (2011)
sportsbet.io  C (2016)
cloudbet.com C (2013)
Bitgame.com C- (2015)
Loot.bet  C- (2016)
maverickgames.com C- (2020)
Owl.games C- (2021)
parlayplus.com C- (2019)
Rollbit.com C- (2021)
roobet.com C- (2019)
Trustdice.win C- (2019)

No offense Peeps Place but I think your list rated 'A' is kinda starting to become obsolete.  No way those books are at the top of the table rn.  Not shilling here but Stake is way better than the three of them by a mile.  Stake has the best lines, they accept most of the more popular coins and the site just looks way better.  No way Stake is just a 'B' imho.  Sportsbet doesn't deserve to be at 'C' too and again, not shilling...  And not gonna mention the name but there's another site that doesn't deserve to be at 'C'.  I mean with all the original features it has..?  Like clans, loot boxes, NFT lending, etc etc.  It's not just another book.
1684  Economy / Speculation / BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 02, 2023, 08:27:29 PM
It's looking like the bulls are back as we've seen with the more than the 30% rise in BTC's price just for the month of January alone.  But even with that high of a price increase, I still see some folks say that we're still not of the woods yet.  Surely there's some hope that we are out...  What do you guys think?

I didn't expect it to go up this high at 24k tbh.  I thought it was gonna go around 22k - 23k range, go back down to 20k then go side ways after that.

1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 02, 2023, 01:35:50 PM
~snip

I'm going for a Fulham win, Arsenal win, Aston Villa win, and Brentford win this weekend. Liverpool have Wolves, so we'll probably lose against then, let's be honest. We haven't had the best of luck with them recently.

you are betting on some underdogs like Fulham, not sure if they will be able to pull a win tomorrow against Chelsea
looking at odds, Newcastle seem as good value, they were low on scoring in several last rounds, but West Ham should be a good opportunity to change their luck, and win

but, overall, there was a two week break, and transfer window as well, so some unexpected results should come this round

Fulham could win imho.  So betting on Fulham draw no bet at 3.70 or Fulham double chance win or draw at 2.29 are def value bets.  I'm really not sure why the line is so wide as Chelsea has a lot of injuries and Joao Felix can't play because of the red card.  Lol.  And I hear Reece James and Ben Chilwell are doubtful.  I think Fulham could at least get a goal in.

I have the match 1 - 1 in the pool.

I was gonna give up but I thought fk it, I'll try to win a yellow cap every week and get me some free bets.  Lol.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 02, 2023, 01:24:11 PM
Yup those would be the most likely outcomes.  But I also wouldn't be surprised if we also see Jones subs Gane.  Just wondering at what odds did you get in them for and what sports betting site are you using?  Books usually don't have props this early even the fiat ones...
Go to a local betting shop and they will be happy to put the bets down way before the ones on the internet. They offer the odds based on the opening odds. My local betting store is a small business that does not offer much on their website too. They are not a big company like the ones you see bet365 or william hill. No Crypto physical betting stores. You can cancel your bet and get a refund if the websites are better priced to. I was looking for a online betting website but they all had moneylines and no methods of victory. They had method of victory only for the bellator and next ufc fight night but not jon jones or Makhachev.

Just wondering at what odds did they give you Makhachev via submission and Jones via TKO.

And wow, it's my first time hearing of a bookie who's willing to cancel their customers' bets if other books have better lines.  That's very generous of them...  Most books would lock it in since they already beat the market.

Anyway here's my lottery ticket.

Jung - Kinoshita - Taira at 2.01

Bringing up Sayeds56's suggestion again about AI related tokens being the next 1000x.  I don't think it's just a joke now.  There are some folks in high places that looks like they're taking this thing seriously and they might even make it become the next narrative by next year.

AI powered ETF is a thing now.  :/

What do you guys think?  Pretty sure some wily devs will jump on board and ride the wave in hopes for that 1000x.  So be on the look out for that.

I have placed bets on Makhachev submission  vs Volkanovski and a TKO victory for Jon Jones against Cyril Gane. What do you guys think about these bets? I nearly had the decision win for Jones but the odds were better for a tko which I think he could get because he can wrestle better and win by gnp. I have not put much on this and I am only worried about Jon Jones winning by decision. I think the makhachev bet is going to win but I am worried that Cyril Gane could play safe by moving around a lot.

Yup those would be the most likely outcomes.  But I also wouldn't be surprised if we also see Jones subs Gane.  Just wondering at what odds did you get in them for and what sports betting site are you using?  Books usually don't have props this early even the fiat ones...

I want to see Bobby up against Alex if possible though. Although, again I'd probably want Bobby to win I don't think he would, but since Izzy seems to have his number it'd be nice to see him going for champion status without going against Izzy.

That's gonna be like watching Whittaker going against a brick wall that hits back.  Cheesy  I'd take my chances and bet Whittaker via decision if that match up ever happens.  I think he won't choke at the last moments of the match like Adesanya did if ever.  Whittaker has no history with Pereira whatsoever, while Adesanya will always have those losses against Pereira in the back of his mind.
1691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 12,000 in 2023. on: January 31, 2023, 03:05:15 PM
What do you guys think about the possibility that bitcoin will crash down below 20k again before going beyond 24k?
The economy is still tanking, unemployment is rising and rates are still high and we don't know when they will start getting lower. And the biggest thing is that we still didn't feel the effect of the rate hikes. Considering all this, I see a real possibility of bitcoin crashing down with other assets.
I don't see how we can get a soft landing when there is a statistic that every time after the fed pivot economy was dumping even harder.
I want to hear your perspective on this.BTC

Sure it's still possible for BTC to break down below 20k again but 12k as your title makes it look like that's what you're gunning for...  I don't think so or at least the window for the possibility of 12k is closing.  After all the stuff that has gone wrong last year, 12k should have already happened.  But it didn't.  It just shows to tell you that there are a lot less people willing to sell their bags at around 16k.  The right move imho.

So yeah...  The range BTC had from June to November could be it and it might not go back there again.  :/
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge can it go 1$ on: January 31, 2023, 02:37:37 PM
^  What 'economic model'?  Are you talking about the supply?  Ok...  Yeah sure but think about this, if it's solely about the 'economic model', then why are there other coins that have limited supply, that's even more under 'serious development' than DOGE, have less market cap than DOGE?  It's all about the demand because it's the demand that dictates how high it goes.  And sure, DOGE's demand is the product of the hype behind the coin.  But then again almost everything in crypto has to do more about hype than anything else.  That's why my new thesis on how to make the most you can in the next bull market is all about coins with doge logos.  Cheesy

All doges...  Tokens, NFT's, everything!

^  Not much to remember when you watch the match itself but it's one of the most iconic fights in McGregor's career imho.  He did the impossible by winning against the great Aldo in his prime.  And not only that, he did it in 30 secs.  It was brilliant as McGregor set it up during the build up going to the event.  He knew all his antics would eventually get to Aldo and he had the perfect move for it and he did it.  Aldo was tense, let it all of it go and McGregor was ready.  Such a brilliant move.

It was a page off Ali's play book.

But seeing what we saw, it's pretty obvious that Aldo prolly would win in a rematch.  Dunno or maybe McGregor lost something on the way, never to get it back.
1694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 31, 2023, 02:01:24 PM
I know they say that 'size doesn't matter' about many things including a lot of match ups made in MMA, but I guess in this case, it def does matter.  Pereira is a natural 205'er competing at 185 and Adesanya on the other hand was just shown that he'll get over powered whatever he does.  I mean Adesanya did almost got Pereira out at the end of the first round but other than that Pereira was taking it and biding his time.  And when he saw his opportunity, Adesanya couldn't do anything.  Ref had to stop it.

And I fancy Pereira fighting at 205 for the belt this year...  Going for the ole double champ status.
Yeah, well it does matter to an extent. However, the size difference is mitigated more with better technique in MMA, and that's mostly only true when it comes to wrestling. Not striking, being bigger, and having more power behind your shots is definitely going to help you.

Also, fancy him for the double champion status. He needs to work on his defensive takedowns, he shouldn't have been allowing Izzy to take him down, who basically has no experience in doing so at least in fights in the UFC. The thing about Alex, I don't think anyone's better than him at kickboxing, but Izzy. The thing with Izzy he hasn't got that natural frame like Alex does. If Izzy was a little bigger, then he'd probably have a lot more success on those that are bigger than him. Alex, moving up he could be smaller than some, but he's definitely not the smallest in that division either.

Hah yeah..  If Adesanya was a tad bigger, he would've had a tad more power in his hands and Pereira woundn't have gotten out of the first round.  That was Adesanya's only chance to take Pereira out for the whole match.  Most times it was Adesenya keeping his distance until he got his back against the cage then had to move left or right until he couldn't.

As for champ champ status, Pereira has to win the rematch first then move up cos if he loses it's gonna be another match up vs Adesanya. So yeah, both scenarios are good for Pereria as he'll still be at the or near the top of the ladder.

Here's the Multi Master.

Just when everybody started getting really excited for the prospect of 30k, there was some whale who stop ran the shorts then possibly began shorting himself and thereby possibly stopping the trend for a couple of weeks or so and BTC starts going sideways again at maybe 20k - 23k.

So everybody itt who's buying at resistance, stop it for now.  It's prolly gonna start going down, giving everybody a better price to get in.  Just IMHO.  Could be wrong.

^  This coming season with the recent change in team principal and prolly also the shuffling of people in the ranks and back room, yeah..  It's prolly gonna be a year of adjustments and tweaks.  But for the last few years with Binotto at the helm, they were expected to win and yeah as you said they almost did with Vettel at 2018, tho it was not meant to be.  They still lost due to a mix of driver errors, team errors and some technical difficulties.

Now having said that, I think there's still always gonna be some pressure just because of the name they represent.  Ferrari and it deserves nothing but the best.  Anything less than first place at every race weekend is gonna be meme time for us.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

A couple of vids to watch that could help you guys make your picks for the main event tuis weekend...

UFC Free Fight:  Spivac vs Hardy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n16j26HlbLY

UFC Free Fight:  Lewis vs Blaydes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN9D6z0CKr0

And about Lewis making weight, again I don't think it's gonna be a lot.  So don't expect a big transformation, prolly just 5 lbs and slightly leaner body at fight day.  But what it really shows is he's prolly taking this next match seriously and that he's seriously finding ways to improve.

And if he does end up showing that he lost 20 lbs, damn...  Can't wait to see the match!
1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 29, 2023, 10:07:13 PM

Yeah that has been known for a while and talked about a few pages back, but there is still a question about it. Every single year Ferrari team comes out and says something that makes the fans go "this is the year!!" and then it turns out that they are still not that great.

Well, this is a common thing for all the teams, no?

I've never seen a team saying on tv "our car sucks and next year will be slower by 1-second"  Grin

That's because they don't want any added pressure on their shoulders.  Imagine telling everybody and confirming the rumor that your engines did have an increase of 30 hp then ending up losing every week vs Verstappen and Red Bull...  Lol.

And if anything, these rumors could have been invented and being spread by top rivals like Red Bull and Mercedes to play with Ferrari engineers' minds and put pressure on them.  Cheesy
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge can it go 1$ on: January 29, 2023, 09:57:30 PM
Doge can go 1$ many people waiting that.
one need to be carefull with meme coins in this market. There could be worse cases with them,

But then again, memecoins could give the bearer of these coins some of the most massive returns they'll ever get at their time of dabbling in crypto.  You just have to know when to get in them and when to see them.  And it's really starting to look like these times now are starting to look like the time to get in.

Don't take that as financial advice tho.  Playing with these things are a gamble and if you don't want to gamble then just  stay with BTC, XMR or just keep all your money in your bank account.
